Went to have my lunch here and decided to have the Poke Bowl. One thing I would recommend is to have the sauce on the side. They just poured too much and didn't enjoy the bowl as much. Service was ok. At 1:30am and the place was busy, so service was slow. It wasn't until after I was all done did the server asked if I would like more tea. Just a bit late. Otherwise this is a good place to enjoy some good food choices. Just don't be in

First time trying this new place out. Atmosphere and decor were nice. We started with the gyoza appetizer that was $7.95. They were hot and had good flavor. They were not served with the tradition sauce but just regular soy sauce. The soup had no flavor at all and was not good. The salad ginger dressing was ok. The hibachi lunch was not what I expected. The veggies did not appear or taste like they were stir-fry but steamed. The rice was not cooked like hibachi fried rice and did not taste like it either. We ordered the gyoza appetizer, a chicken hibachi lunch, chicken & scallop hibachi dinner and a shrimp tempura bento box. All of this was around $70. Everything was hot. As far as Japanese food, this is NOT a Japanese restaurant. Maybe the Chinese items on their menu are better.

We were so tired of eating at mediocre restaurants; and coming out thinking "what a waste of money and time", or "I could have made it better myself at home." Yesterday four of us ate at Sumi Sushi Hibachi at 2231 Citrus Blvd, Leesburg, FL. The Villages Gourmet Club rated it their highest mark - "15". We all concur that the "15" is a well deserved grade. We were hesitant of going there, because it is located in the same parking lot as Aldi's in Leesburg, but a "15" is quite enticing. The outside is iffy to say the least, but upon entering, it opens up to a very clean, well furnished, elegant restaurant.BEST Japanese restaurant, and overall of ANY restaurant we've tried. The food and service was excellent! Two of us had the hibachi box, one had the bento box, and I had the lunch "All you can eat" lunch for $18.99. The "All you can eat" is different from any I've ever seen. To order AYCE a customer can choose most anything on the menu. I ordered shrimp Yaki Udon, Harumaki (a type of summer roll), and a seaweed salad - all excellent. After I finished each dish I had the choice of ordering the same again, or try anything else on that menu - all made fresh from scratch! Delicious! The bill for my husband's bento box, and my AYCE was a reasonable $36.90. This was a great choice of a place to eat. Try it, and I hope you agree with us.

We've been here twice, the first time we had Thai/rice dishes and this time sushi/sashimi. Both were spectacular. Nice atmosphere, quiet, relaxing music, and great service. We've just recently moved to leesburg from the northeast (and Seattle before that) so we were concerned about finding good Japanese sushi and Asian cuisine in general, we're very happy to have found Sumi!
