If you're looking to dive into the vibrant and rich flavors of Lao cuisine, sticky rice is an absolute must-visit! Tucked away near mills 50, this charming spot delivers an unforgettable culinary experience that will transport your taste buds straight to Southeast Asia. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a subtle blend of modern and traditional decor that complements the flavors on the menu perfectly. The service is attentive and friendly -- it feels like you're being welcomed into someone's home. Now, onto the food -- where do I even begin? The Larb is a standout dish. Packed with fresh herbs, minced meat, and a perfect balance of spicy, salty, and sour flavors, it's a refreshing start to your meal. If you're a fan of a little heat, you'll love the kick it packs.Every dish here feels like a celebration of authentic Lao ingredients and traditional recipes, making this restaurant a standout for anyone seeking bold, flavorful, and unique dishes. Whether you're a longtime fan of Lao food or a first-timer, you won't be disappointed.

I am blown away by Sticky Rice, if we had one in Chicago I would be going every week. You order at the front desk and seat yourself, they'll bring out your food to you. We ordered the Khao Piak Sen, Coconut Curry Ramen, and Curry Rib. I recommend the Coconut Curry Ramen for anyone looking for a rich and savory ramen packed with a variety of veggies, ramen egg, and shrimps. It has that hit of creamy coconut, depth and layers of herbs/spices, and a hint of sweet/tang. I love a good ramen that isn't salty and a curry that isnt sweet. This dish is perfectly balanced and well worth it!Khao Piak Sen is the Laotian version of chicken noodle soup. It's my comfort food and you will never be disappointed. It's composed of clear rich broth, crispy garlic, cilantro, translucent noodles, and strips of tender chicken. The broth is addicting because it's light and rich in flavor. However, if you're looking for more content like veggies and heavy in protein, I would select a different dish. This dish is best enjoyed in its simplicity. They recommended the Curry Ribs and we did not regret. It's so tender, moist, perfectly marinated and hints of char flavor. Overall everything was so delicious I would come back to try everything if I could!

Stopped in for lunch today and had a pleasant experience. The parking is located in the back; while the lot is small, there's enough space for the amount of seating inside.Inside, the seating is community-style, but since there were only a few people at the time, it felt comfortable. We ordered several dishes (and forgot to take photos because we dove in right away! *Tapioca Buns: The texture wasn't my favorite, but the meat inside was really flavorful. *Lemongrass Beef Jerky: My favorite of the meal! It had a slight lemongrass flavor and a great blend of spices, so good. *Chicken Wings: They were good but didn't stand out.Overall, a nice spot with some standout dishes. I'd come back, especially for the jerky!

I have always wanted to try this place out! I was excited to try some Lao food. The inside is cool but it's definitely a more casual restaurant. The lady who took our order was nice and helpful explaining the menu. We ordered a few different things. First were the Beef Lemongrass Jerky, these were okay. Was expecting more flavor. We got the Chicken Laarb, this had like no flavor to it. Cucumber Salad and the spring rolls were okay. The food is fresh but the flavor is not there. I don't think I would come here again.

Sticky Rice in Orlando is one of my fav hole in the wall, authentic Lao street style food! The sticky tapioca pork balls are chewy and delicious, while the sticky chicken wings hit just the right umami notes with a touch of fish sauce. The curry ramen is a rich bowl of creamy coconut curry with the perfect amount of spice, and the crispy squid on a stick adds a fun texture to the meal. The khao piek sen chicken noodle dish is warming and comforting, especially with a drizzle of chili oil to add some heat. Most dishes are small plates, which are perfect for sharing, and the prices are really reasonable. The smell of BBQ meat hits you as soon as you walk in, and you get all the flavor profiles all at once with this style of food. The vibe and service inside is chill and simple--not loud, just good energy all around. It's one of my go to spots for late night cravings. If you're looking for authentic Lao street food in Orlando, this place is a must try!

Visited Sticky Rice for the 1st time this weekend! I have been talking about going to Sticky Rice for years and we finally made it!! I have never had Laotian cuisine before, so I was curious what it would be like. Inside, they have community table seating. You order at the counter and the plates will come out as they are ready. We got the Khao Piek Sen ramen and the Coconut Curry Ramen. Both were delicious, the coconut Curry was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy! I loved the broth. Additionally, we got the spring roles, wings, and lemongrass sausage. The sausage was very interesting, I have never had a lemongrass meat before lol! The flavor of lemongrass was very forward, it was unique but good! The springs roles were the perfect crispiness and the wings were excellent. The flavor was sweet and savory, the perfect amount of grilled char on the outside which really made them. I really enjoyed Sticky Rice and glad I finally came! I am excited to come back and try it again, and again!!

Stopped by after a day at Disney and this place HIT THE SPOT. Everything was delicious, I ordered the Khao Piek Sen noodle soup and it was by far, the best broth I ever had. Perfect for a cold day, the garlic & ginger was soothing to the soul. The Laab lettuce wraps were so tasty and my husband enjoyed the coconut curry soup. They have a handwashing station by the counter, you order at the front and then they bring the food to you. For desert we had the mango & purple rice- perfect semi-sweet desert that made you want MORE. Will definitely be back. Loved the seating, keep in mind it's a small restaurant.

Sticky Rice is a hidden gem in Orlando - while I wish more people knew about it, I'm not mad since the space is small and already packed each day. First, know there will probably be a line, but it does move fairly quickly and the food comes out efficiently too. Although you may need to wait, I promise its going to be worthwhile. For apps, I love the pork tapioca dumpling, its tasty, different, and has a bit of a sweet taste that isn't normal in an appetizer. It's definitely my go-to in the appetizers. I would say to skip the meatballs - they were pretty boring with the majority of the flavor coming from the sauce. Compared the dumpling this is way at the bottom of the list. For the entree, hands down the Kapoon Nam Gai is the one to get. The broth is extremely addicting. I could probably only eat the broth and be thrilled. Of course, beware of the large chunks of ginger and spicy pieces that are floating near the top. If those aren't your thing, be sure to remove them before you accidentally eat one. Also, know that the chili oil floats on top - depending on your tolerance, be sure to decide how much you want. Personally, I think the normal plating is fine, but if you're spice intolerant it could be rough.
