Southern Meat Processing

I made a special trip to buy meat there. I was very disappointed to find that everything was frozen. The pieces are large and nothing is marked except for the weight. Also, everything is in coolers and all mixed up. It is not easy to find what you want. So what exactly are you buying? You may be told it is grass-fed Florida beef, but if it is not on the package, what are you really getting? I did make two purchases. I have had grass-fed Florida beef, so I know the taste I am looking for. I probably will not go back even if the meat is good. There are other more reputable butchers in Citrus County.

Zero stars Do Not take your deer to this place for the love of god. Your better off dropping every quarter in your nearest leaf and dirt pile then processing and vacuum sealing ur self it would be bout the same and save yourself 120 bucks. Not mention they didnt freeze any of the meat.

He processed our hog, Breakfast sausage sucked, no seasoning, made bacon but never gave it to us? Keeps giving us BS runaround. Did a goat and steer ended up with severe shortages in weight. Wrapped in vacume seal, not sealedd big time freezer burnt. Stay away a crook!

We had southern meat process a black angus and we NEVER received the BRISKET and the packaging is not good. I'm not sure if the meat we received was even from my angus. Larry will defiantly give you the run around. Head the warning. Be advised

Dropped off hog meat to be made into sausage. They can't find my meat or cooler and I was told someone would be getting back to me. It has now been a week with no call from them. I have been calling them over and over and no one answered. I guess I'll have to drive back to over to the place again. We will see what they do now. This was my first time using them and my last if can't come up with my meat and cooler. Doesn't look like it is very organized to deal with problems.

I just found Southern Meat and decided to give it a try. I bought a pound of fresh ground beef to make burgers, and it was delicious. Best burger meat I have found. Larry gave me a tour and treated me royally.
