South Marion Meats

I have been using South Marion Meats for over 15 years to process my venison. They always listen and have gotten my processing needs done correctly. Great prices and Gary and Sue are fantastic to do business with. Highly recommend them.

DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!! We brought in two steers about 5 years old we've had them pinned up for a little over a year. Grass, grain and hay fed. NO Hormones or injections. These were no little FFA cows, these steers were 5 years old and already has size on them before we pinned them up. they were a good 2,000lbs or more easy, both of them. They made the other cows and the slaughter house look like babies. We went out and bought 3 brand new 21c freezers to store all the meat because this is not our first rodeo we've been doing this for years. So we know how many freezers it would take to hold that much meat. Not one of our freezers are even half full. We didn't get our tender loin, flank steak, stew meat, or our ribeyes. We got ribeyes someone else's because I know for a 1000% fact that my steers ribs were way bigger then this little FFA cow rib they gave us. Also we asked for the cow tongue they gave us some little cow tongue and I know for a 1000% fact my steers tongues were way bigger then this little FFA cows tongue they gave us. Compared to our previous years the tongue was bigger then the plate. This tongue is as big as my hand and I'm 4'11" small petite women. I have a small hand. You know, I'm so pissed, We have put thousands of dollars into our steers and raised them with the best hay the best feed we wormed them and they had more then enough acres to graze from they were spoiled and well taken care of. And for these people to steal my high quality meat to sell in there meat store up front to make more money like they didn't get enough money for processing 2,681.00 later. They also do FDA meat for resell. So WARNING if you have your own animals for personal use DO NOT TAKE YOUR LIVE STOCK HERE FOR PROCESSING It will end up in there meat store to sell to the locals. NEVER AGAIN

Took my beef here to be processed- missing a lot of meat and organs and was lied to. guys who brought my meat out smelled like weed- would never go back. beware going here!

I do not recommend this place for getting your cows butchered. We ended up with the caps cut off all of our ribeyes, three to four small tenderloin steak out of the whole tenderloin and brisket points missing. I'll be going somewhere else next time.
