Very nice, casual atmosphere. Good food, decent portion sizes and quite tasty. Good service and an all around enjoyable meal.

Stopped in early on a Sunday afternoon following our granddaughter's performance at the Dr. Phillips Center. We were quickly seated but things definitely slowed down after that.It seemed like the server was the only wait staff working that afternoon. He was doing the best he could. At least 10 minutes passed before he made it to our table to take our drink orders. We had similar wait times for placing our orders and an even longer wait for our food to arrive. In order to get a refill on our chips and salsa, our son in law had to take the basket to the bartender to ask for more chips. The food was okay but was overpriced. My black beans and rice arrived to the table cold but I ate them anyway. Our daughter asked for another drink but it never showed up to the table but the coffee my husband requested never made it to the table as well. A long wait for the check ensued so my daughter and her husband took their three children for a walk while my husband and I settled the bill. At least the missing drink and coffee weren't added to the check. I wanted to like this restaurant but am uncertain if I would return. The midweek specials sound like fun so maybe it's worth trying again.

Wishing I had better things to say about this restaurant, but that's simply not the case. My boyfriend and I reserved a spot for 5:45pm, leaving us more than enough time to catch a play at the Doctor Phillip's Center at 8pm. Note that they are a 5 min walk from each other. We arrived about 5:45 and were seated right away. The hostess informed us that they had another reservation at 7pm and we had to be out by then. First of all, that's not a great thing to lead with. Second of all, I've been to restaurants in cities, states, countries, and continents all around the world and have never heard of only having an hour and 15 minutes for your reservation. To be sure, I looked in their policy on open table and the website and nothing stated we only had that much time. About 20 minutes later she informed us that we were ok to stay past 7, which was great, but should have never been a concern in the first place. Upon sitting down, we were greeted by 3 different people, one being our server, one the manager, and one another waiter. Even with two people taking our drink order (water) it still took about 10 minutes and we were never offered a refill the entire time. My boyfriend ordered a spicy margaritas and it was delicious. For the appetizer, we had the corn elote. It was delicious as well, but took nearly 30 minutes to come out. For the meal, I ordered the chicken verde with rice and slaw. My boyfriend ordered the carne asada. After 20 minutes of waiting, we were informed the kitchen was out of stock of the carne asada. My boyfriend then had to reorder, pushing our meal back even more. He settled for the chicken fajitas because how in the world could they be out of that?! Nearly an hour after arriving and battling with poor service, our food arrived. I enjoyed the chicken verde very well! My boyfriend's fajita was subpar, the chicken being very dry and flavorless. After only trying a bite, I don't know how he finished it. It took nearly 10 minutes for his sides (rice and beans) to come out after the fajitas did. Then another 5 minutes for my side corn tortillas to come out.Due to the outage with carne asada, the manager granted us a surprise free dessert. 20 minutes after we had finished our meal and asked for the check (which took 15 minutes to come), our waiter informed us the dessert had just began cooking. Mind you it was 7:15 at this point and we had to make it to the center for our play. We chose not to stay. The dessert was a nice gesture, but didn't make a difference as it took too long and we never received it. Wish they had just taken a portion of our bill off. My mind goes back to the hostess at the beginning telling us we had to be out by 7. We ordered as fast as we could and no way we could have been out by 7. A party of 12 next door was in after us and out before us. I think we just had an unlucky night. Overall, this was some of the worst service we've ever had. Our waiter was very nice but it seemed they were overwhelmed or short handed, neither of which are an excuse to how terrible the service was. We joked that the only thing that could have made it worse was if the staff was rude. Thankfully they weren't. The food just wasn't good enough to bring this up to 3/5 stars so I will unfortunately have to go with 5. As an Orlando local, there are too many other delicious restaurants in town and downtown and I will not be back here.

Prompt, courteous, responsive service with a good selection of food that is all in the slightly above average to high good (C to B but not quite B+) categories. While the ingredients are of greater quality, and I would venture to say concept as well, in that I found quite a few things novel and different, not all of the items were equally enticing in performance. Pertaining novelty, I would include having my elote shaved off the cob in front of me at my table. Regarding difference, I would refer to the unique presentation of some dishes and having fatty ribs at a taco restaurant.Prices and portions are more than reasonable. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Definitely give them a visit.

I really wanted to love this place. I read the reviews that mentioned the service and hoped they had the chance to make it right. I went to celebrate a coworkers last day. We waited till there were about 8 of us to order drinks. Those took 20 minutes. Drinks were $15. We waited for the late arrives to order their drinks, that took 30 minutes. We then had decided on food, but never saw our server for another 30 minutes so we were all out. The menu options looked good. The complimentary chips & salsa were also good. We did get cheese dip that was also good. The service left us waiting too too long.

Came here on a Thursday for happy hour with coworkers and the place had a large space for tables and didn't feel crammed. Our servers were attentive and also were knowledgeable in their offerings. My coworker got their spicy mojito (not pictured) and it came with themed cards which were so cool! I also ordered their frozen mango marg and it was delicious as well. I'm not a rosé person but their ducky froze was DELICIOUS! I also love the touch of the ducky.Their table side service for the ceviche and their street corn was good as well! My only note is that the servings were on the smaller end. Food was delicious but their large taco seemed like a normal sized taco just a little more loaded. The street corn was also good but was a little surprised that it was only one corn cob sliced and seemed small for the price. The fish tacos were good but again we had maybe one or two small pieces in each taco so we were left wanting more.Overall would come back here again but definitely have to adjust expectations of smaller portions.

We brought friends here for the first time and we have an amazing dining experience with Elvis. The vibe of the atmosphere was great to reconnect with friends. I appreciate the hospitality and as a returning customer it has been another successful experience. We will return for another great visit

Unfortunately since my last review two years ago, I have only been back twice, and only because this is the restaurant our vendor chose for lunch. I stopped going because the portions, which were small to begin with have gotten so much smaller but the price keeps going up. I know downtown Orlando is a high rent area, but the food should match the price. My last visit yesterday where one of our vendors took us for lunch was just as disappointing, first with the very slow service and then the portions, which were miniscule. I ordered the El Primo taco plate, which comes with four mini tacos. These tacos are two bites at most, but the filling....well what filling, the grilled fish was the tiniest piece of fish in the middle of the mini taco and my mushroom taco came with 3 slices of mushroom. Several of the attendees complained about the small portions. I had such high hopes for this restaurant, but will only patronize when it's the vendor's choice.

Monica was amazing, but aside from that the service was horrible. we had a group of 14 for a friends birthday and they gave us 2 waiters, one of who was brand new and had zero interest in helping us. the food took forever to arrive and when it came time to split the checks they put up a fight, even though it was made known at the beginning of the dinner that people would be paying separately and they didnt have an issue with it. food was ok, and i'm hoping it was just an off night for the staff but i was not impressed.
