We ordered the Picata for two and the Churrasco plate.It was so good! The Picata plate/tray had steak, chicken, fried pork belly, chorizo and shrimp (we added it). The meats were well seasoned and cooked perfectly, not dry or overcooked. It included mini arepas served with cheese, tostones and yuca frita. The sauces were delicious paired with the meats. There was also a salad with avocado. 10/10.The Churrasco plate was well seasoned and juicy steak. The plantains were soft and ripe. Yellow rice and frued yuca was very good. 10/10 (you can pick any 3 sides).Our sever/cashier was very attentive and helpful. I will definitely come again.Very clean restaurant with great ambiance.

Its easy to see why this place gets such great reviews, the food is excellent!I had the Cuban Empanada, the Soap De Pollo and a Cuban.It was all delicious!The Soda De Pollo was about the best I've ever had. The broth and white meat chicken were perfecto!Getting started is VERY non-intuitive.When you walk in there is a sign that says 'dine-in' that's leading you to a Kiosk.The Kiosk wants you to create a profile.You have to create a profile to order.There is another line with a Server who will take your money.Both lines were very long at lunch time on a Saturday.I glanced over at the bar and there were two people there.So I walked over and the guy behind the bar said 'skip the line' and have a seat so I did and it was smooth sailing after that!

I hate having to stand at a computer and try to order while I am at the restaurant... hate it, hate it, hate it... The food however is worth the hassle. We ordered a lot of food... a little bit of everything as you can see by our pictures. The empanada and the fried plantains were my favorites. The coconut flan was absolutely delicious as was the pina colada. I would order all of it again... and again... and again. And the little dipping sauces with each dish truly add another dimension to the experience. A very flavorful menu.The only thing I we did NOT care for were the ham croquets. Weird because I was really looking forward to those... how disappointing. It's a very pretty restaurant. The design team knew what they were doing. Great ambiance.You also may want to hang on to your receipt as the giftshop next door will give you a gift if you show them your Sofrito receipt.

When in Florida, you have to try the Latin American cuisine! We were staying nearby and came upon Sofrito Latin Cafe, which features dishes from many different countries.The vibe is a mix between casual sit-down and quick service, where you order first at the front before grabbing a number and table. With so many options, we finally narrowed our choices down to:- The Cuban Sandwich- Churrasco- Tostones This was definitely more than enough for two people, and we left full and satisfied. I like that they have such a variety on their menu, so you can try so many different things! Definitely would come back if I'm ever in the area. :)

A must try when you're in the area! My friend and I were in the area and looking for a delicious restaurant not far from where we were staying. We were recommended to try Sofrito and we were not disappointed. When you walk into, the restaurant has two options for you to order. You can either use their automatic screen, order and take a number or one of their staff members have a stand where you can order from them as well. In terms of seating, the restaurant has an inside and outside seating options. Both are great and we enjoyed sitting outside since the restaurant has a hustle and bustle to it. Due to it being our first time, the staff was great in explaining the ordering options to us. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of French fries. The portions are huge and I definitely could have left some for left overs.I definitely recommend!

I had dinner here last week while staying nearby. Sofrito is in a stand-alone building with plenty of parking available in front. It is a counter service restaurant serving Latin food. I chose the Peruvian Pollo al Horno entree for $18. It came with 3 sides and a salad. For the side dishes I picked red beans, black beans and sweet plantains. After getting my soft drink and grabbing a table my meal arrived in about 5 minutes. I liked everything served. The bird was big, juicy and flavorful. The red beans had some pork in them and tasted very good. The black beans were also rich in flavor. The plantains were sweet and delicious. Finally, the salad was full of content and fresh tasting. This was a very good tasting and filling meal and a value too.I only had the chance to have one meal at Sofrito Latin Cafe but it was a very good one. My meal was easily a 4 score. If I had the chance to try something else and enjoyed it this much I might give a 5 score. This is a good place to eat!

Great service. Walk in and order at a counter. You get a number and food was out super fast. My Spanish is not great but we were able to ask questions about menu items. Great portion size and the food was delicious.I wish there were more green veggie options as sides and not all carbs but Yuca fries, rice and beans are amazing.
