Everything was awesome! The friendly service, quiet atmosphere and absolutely delicious food makes this place one of my favorites!

Ribs were good a little dry but still tender sauce helped sauce was pretty good. Brisket was ok really fatty which I know brisket has the layer of fat in the middle but there was a lot in this particular one probably would get that again good flavor but not enough actual meat. Pulled pork fries were awesome brought them home air friend them latter still amazing. I would for sure come back everything tasted good service was quick prices were good. Solid BBQ

The smell when you get out of the car is intoxicating and the menu is standard barbecue. I can't so that I was wowed by the food, but I was wowed by the service and the family friendly atmosphere. Choose your meat, choose your sides and they do t mind big parties, so enjoy a big group or a small family sit down. They will treat you like kinfolk. The food?Lima Beans - I love Lima beans, I did not love theseGreen Beans - these were perfectly seasoned, firm and delicious. I could have had these for a meal. Ribs - the ribs were good, loved the mild sauce on them but tasty enough to eat without sauce.

This visit was even better than last. Came here with some friends for lunch and decided to try different things.... we just saw that in their menu they offer egg-rolls and ordered a few to try. They are extremely good... filled with pulled pork and Coleslaw... and they bring this sweet and spicy sauce that really brings them up to the next level. Try them!The brisket lunch platter was excellent.. 2 sides and corn bread. The brisket itself was juicy, tender and with just the perfect amount of smoke. Their Hot BBQ sauce which you have to ask for is just hotter than their regular but not overwhelmingly hot. The best sauce for me was their mustard base sauce. Tangy and delicious. Definitely one of our favorite BBQ places in Auburndale. If you have not been here before... do give it a try!Excellent service and excellent food.

If you drive too fast you might miss this gem! We didnt know what to expect because you have to pull in to a gate and park in back. That's where you'll find the outside sitting area and the main door into the restaurant. As soon as you step outside the car you can smell the amazing aroma of BBQ!First timers here so I decided to get the beef brisket sandwich with potato salad and my husband got the sliced pork with a side of beans, potato salad and corn bread (we shared so we can both try a little of each). The brisket has the option of coming out on a bun or garlic bread, I went with garlic. The brisket is tender, smokey and delicious. You have the option of topping with mild, hot or sweet BBQ sauce. My fave was the mild. The pork, came out sliced looking like turkey. You can tell it's slow cooked and it's absolutely amazing. The potato salad is your standard good and the corn bread soft and tastey. Btw, we also go some amazing sweet tea for drinks and shared banana pudding for dessert. The texture of the pudding was so creamy. It had big chunks of banana and was topped with whip cream. Best banana pudding I've ever had. The customer service is top knotch. Our waitress was welcoming and tended to our every need. This place, no doubt, is worthy of 5-stars all the way around. Thank you for the great food and service!

We really enjoyed Smokin' Jim's, as they have the best butt in town!The smokehouse is what we saw first. Always love to see how the grillmaster is doing his/her thing. When asked for a really charred steak for Saturday Steak Night medium rare, we got just that! I really enjoyed that each food item I ordered quite fit my palette. The ribs still had the membrane crispy and toasty, dry rubbed with natural juices, the green beans steamed soft and brothy-flavored, the coleslaw sweet & crisp, and the mild BBQ sauce a bit smoky, sweet, and tangy. We had a hard-working waitress, well-versed at her job, calm, and composed. She took care of us quite well. Jim also came out to greet his guests & we got to chit chat with him. It seems like a spot for locals, and generally a welcoming spot.

The collard greens are fantastic with the corn bread. Ribs were delicious. Carry out was well packaged with plenty of food. Dining in provides a great old Florida feel to eating bbq on the porch.

Very dissatisfied! Was told they had a great stuffed and loaded potato (Bubba Spud $13.99) including meat of choice, cheese, sour cream w two sides, bread (corn bread or garlic toast and drink included). We ordered it expecting something great.... Nope!Regular size split baked potato with our meat on top of it, two little margarine vegetable oil spread cups. Not even real butter available! I chose the green beans as a side .... Straight from a can and no flavor. The "cheese" was processed, melted nacho cheese served in a plastic 3 oz. cup. Plastic utensils, no metal silverware.Might've been a great meal one time, but, I say now it's nothing more than cheap imitation of food w no nutritional value and certainly not healthy for the body. I won't go back and my friend who recommended this was very embarrassed that he suggested it. It was NOT as he remembered it!

Nice local joint that I had been meaning to stop by for a long time. Finally made it happen on a Friday night as I was in the mood for ribs. Ribs had a decent bite to them, lacked a little flavor and the sides were pretty good. Restaurant was clean and the staff took good care of our party.

Always love Saturday steak night. Steaks are on point and the service team makes you feel at home. Come early because some nights they do sellout of steaks.
