Food is amazing. We started with the Edamame Bean App adding the Kimchi Butter. They were bursting with flavor and I recommend you save any excess Kimchi Butter to drizzle over your sushi, which is what we did. The Green Bastard and Tavares Sushi Roll were similar with the addition of Fresh Snapper atop my roll. The prices were $16 and $17 for the sushi but they were double the size of most sushi plates.We recommend the Blackberry Lemonade cocktail with wine based vodka, delicious while still being strong. I had the Sapporo 22 oz Daddy beer bottle, a clean, refreshing Japanese beer.Their hours are great if you work and don't get out often until late; 5-11 pm Wednesday to Sunday. A new favorite in downtown Tavares.

Wow. Local business like Shibuya deserves to be supported. First off - one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. Casually asked one of the sushi chefs what his favorite roll was. He listened to some of my preferences. Saw my Tenacious D shirt and complemented it. And then proceeded to make me a modified Beauty and the Beast roll and called it the Tenacious D roll. Incredible. My wife is not a fan of sushi because she doesn't like fish or seaweed. But she saw my roll and reaction and felt jealous. Asked if they could make her a roll to accommodate her and they were totally willing to oblige. Spoke with the owner. Super nice guy with lots of passion. Service from the front to back of the house was so personal and friendly. We felt so welcomed. Ambiance was super chill. Nice ambient music. Cool lighting. It's not super high end furniture but you can tell they are a new business doing the best they can. But let's be real - food is more important than the quality of the table you're eating on. Top notch food and vibes. What more do you want? There's literally no sushi in Tavares that can compete. Heck. Not much I've had in the country that can compete. If you love sushi do yourself a favor and just go. 10 stars.

I was invited here by a family member that has a vacation home in this area. I live in Orlando. At first I was hesitant because it was empty of visitors. But after sitting down and being assured by the person who invited me, I thought I'd give it a chance. I am SO glad I did. I came to learn this is a gem with a passionate owner committed to the best and freshest food possible. Every single dish tasted great and very fresh. This place's only crime is being in a not so busy location. But if you find yourself looking for sushi and you come across this place, don't pass up the opportunity to let this place and its owner impress you.

The sushi was good. The ingredients are fresh. The service was good, but the restaurant needs to work on its atmosphere. There was little ambiance, and the prices would be considered high by many locals.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The price reflects the quality of the food and the chef takes his time to create quality food that is delicious. Hands down my favorite sushi restaurant in a long time and make sure to stop here every time I come to town. The servers were amazing and constantly checking on our table, all in all great service, great food, and great atmosphere. Couldn't recommend this place more!! Recommendations: the edamame with the kimchi butter, Fuji roll, Nikko roll, green goddess, and surf and turf

Wonderful dining experience, great ambiance, food was delicious. Highly recommend that you try the yellowtail, Ramen, and the Crab Rangoon. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
