Great little homebrew shop in downtown. I need to be careful not to spend all my money here. :)

My husband LOVES this place and I know the quote is "happy wife happy life" but lets not forget those happy husbands :)The people that work here and super genuine and helpful and make you feel confident with your purchases. They obviously know what the heck they are talking about and make you feel like a pro yourself. I have gone without my husband before to get him stuff for his birthday and even though I had no idea what I was doing they made sure I was taken care of. I am a big fan of this place even though this hobby takes up half of my garage :)

Great little homebrew shop located in downtown Sanford right near the theater. I needed supplies for a beer I was making and called ahead to see if they had them. They did, but I was told they were closed. The guy, forgot his name, said he was doing inventory and would hang out until I got there. That is above and beyond customer service! All items are priced pretty comparable to other local locations. They have a nice selection of grains, hops, yeast and brewing equipment. I prefer to shop local when it comes to homebrew, and highly recommend Sanford Homebrew.

My family was wondering through downtown and stumbled upon this gem. We have always wanted to try our hand at making our own beer so we went on in to see what they had to offer. After extensively talking to the gentleman working we had all the information that we needed for us to know we want to try it our. The staff member was not pushy and answered all of my questions and offered information about their class offerings. We will be back soon to buy our kit to make our first batch. The store has a lot of different kits for beginners and they also have all the tools and ingredients for more advanced brewers. The store was clean and well stocked. Can't wait to get back over there for our kit.

These guys are great for stocking up on supplies or just to chat about craft beer in general. Located just around the corner from Willow Tree, the Sanford Homebrew Shop carries plenty of equipment, ingredients, and even offers a homebrewing class. As a newbie to homebrew, Aaron and Gary have been very helpful in answering questions and helping me find the ingredients I am looking for. The prices have been very reasonable, and I find it easier to pick up from these guys than to order from some of the online homebrew retailers. The homebrew class was really helpful in kicking off this new hobby of mine. They limit participation to 6 persons and offer the class every Monday night. Reasonably priced at $50.00, the price included the ingredients, class, and 5-6 bottles to take home. The first session was a brief history, reading recipe, brewing, and transferring to carboy. They also provided a couple of beers during the process. The second class, a couple of Mondays later, you bottle the beer to take home. Several more beers were provided during this class as well. Overall, Aaron and Gary have a great little local homebrew shop supplying all your needs for your next brew. Definitely do not hesitate to check these guys out!

Sanford Home Brew shop is basically everything you need in a HomeBrew store. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and they have pretty much everything you need to get your Brew On!Every time my brother and I visit, Aaron is usually working and is nothing but professional and answers any-and-all questions you throw at him. These guys are the type that you feel could just BS about beer for hours and have a good time doing it - which is awesome. If you brew a batch and need some expert (tasting) advice, bring your beer to them! Aaron and Gary (the owners) are beer judges, so it's always good to get the opinion of these guys. Honestly, not enough nice things to say. The only thing they need is to put prices out on the products because nothing is labeled. As I said - Fresh Hops and Grains, great help, and a friendly atmosphere! As long as Sanford Home Brew keeps this pace, they'll be the neighborhood favorites for years to come!

Stopped in for supplies and advice on brewing my first fruit beer (blueberry). I was greeted by one of the owners, Aaron, who was very friendly and ready to talk beer. I proceeded to pick his brain on brewing fruit beer (and beer in general). He was very knowledgable and eager to help a novice homebrewer like myself. Overall, great selection, information and prices. What more can you ask for from a local home-brew store? Looking forward to checking out one of the Homebrewing 101 classes to sharpen my skills. Definitely recommended!!

Fantastic selection, whether you've been homebrewing for a week or a decade. Everything is organized and easy to find, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. And the prices are good (like, cheaper-than-amazon good). I live closer to Heart's, but this place is worth the drive, trust me.

Best homebrew shop in Florida. The guy there really helped me with my blonde ale recipe and is so knowledgeable. Brewed it today smell absolutely amazing. The yeast he recommended is already working without a starter. All the ingredients are as fresh as they can possibly be. All the hops are stored in vacuum sealed jars. All the yeast including the dry yeast is stored in a fridge. It's so nice to find a company that really cares about their customers and products. They are 45 minutes away but I will continue to buy from them. If you want to learn how to homebrew go to them.
