Future me, remember to have the kids split a quesadilla. It will probably be cheese, since Yoshi only wants cheese. If you get Hiro the chicken quesadilla, he may not eat it, but it tasted decent the next day. The kids meals are generous portions that come with two sides. We did rice and corn with one and rice and fruit with the other. I wasn't a huge fan of the corn, but the rice is delicious. I even ate it cold the next day and it was still good. I got the shrimp Caesar salad and it was pretty good. My husband got enchiladas and it had a bunch of cheese. Way too much cheese for him, so reminder to him, if he gets the enchiladas again, ask for it without cheese. We also started with the chips with queso and salsa. They weren't anything to write home about, but if we're craving queso or salsa it's pretty good.I got the avocado margarita, which was delicious as always. I saw another table had a margarita flight, so maybe next time I'll pivot to that. Even after you check in the wait can be a while, so definitely check in on your phone as you're walking there. Our server was so nice. If I didn't have the kids I would ask to sit by the water to watch the boats go by. It would take longer to get a table, but it's so worth it (to me.)

We really wanted to like San Angel Inn Restaurante because the ambiance seemed really nice. It reminds me of Blue Bayou in Disneyland because of the restaurant by the water ride vibe. Anyways, we checked in 20 minutes prior and got into line once we got the text that said our table was ready. People were consistently trying to cut us even though there was only one line. Once we were finally able to check in, everyone that was in line behind us, who tried to cut us, were sat first at a nice four person table (for two people). Meanwhile, we patiently waited for our table, just to be sat at a cramped two person table between two other tables shoulder to shoulder. Note to self for next time, I shoud've asked for a different table. At that point, we had lost our appetite and decided to not order entrees, and just went for drinks and some chips (totopos $9 with salsa and white cheddar cheese). I thought the chips were fine, but my husband thought the white cheddar cheese was beyond bland. We tried the margarita flight $30, which was great and quite strong. Comes with classic, blood orange, and the wild one. I also got the La cava avocado ($18), and it was delicious. Boozy, sweet avocado slushy - yum. Our server, Francisco, was nice enough albeit extremely busy. He kept reintroducing himself, not sure why. You pay at the table. Would I come back for the drinks? Maybe...because you can't get these drinks elsewhere in Epcot. Just drop your expectations on service and vibes. No regrets on just getting drinks and chips to be honest.

One of my top go-to's in Epcot primarily for the ambiance. It really can't be beat. I challenge you to come here and say otherwise. For looks over substance, this is your place. How shallow are you?? : ) Located in the heart of the Mexican pavilion, with an artificial night sky, pyramid, and periodically exploding volcano in the background, the restaurant is breathtaking. IMO easily the most romantic restaurant in the park and a great reset if you feel on the verge of heatstroke. Mariachi players also sometimes come around and you can see the boats going by as well. Cool stuff. As to food, it's definitely gotten better but it's still no Rosa Mexicano even and it's pretty expensive for what it is. They also don't do complimentary chips and salsa ,which would have been nice but my business minor gets it. The goal is to move people who will likely be one-time patrons in and out as quickly as possible and with the highest tab. Unlimited chips and salad are seriously in conflict with that. Fine. Although it seems like Disney won't ever throw you a bone, or even a tortilla chip I guess. Fine. The queso appetizer is decent if heavy for the hot weather. The chicken enchiladas also acceptable but very heavy and bland- would recommend splitting. With the tortilla soup, the server pours the broth over the contents when it arrives which is mildly amusing but the soup is also kind of bland. The shrimp dish is fine. Get the gist here? Again, I get it. Disney tries to not get anyone or anything hot and bothered, and that includes your taste buds.I heard they revamped their menu recently so maybe the food has gotten better. But even if not, still consider this place for the sheer ambiance and just have minimal expectations and don't over-order. No one wants to carry around a doggie bag of mediocre left-over-Mexican-food-that-will-get-thrown-out-in-two-days around with them all day. Tip: Arrive early and ask for a table by the water. Often they can accommodate, although you may have to wait a bit.Oh also this place is dark. Great for couples but if you are going with elderly parents, they may have trouble seeing the menu. Kids might also fall asleep but maybe that's a welcome respite.

This was on our list for a while, but unfortunately I did not enjoy our meal. We started with the guacamole and the queso fundido. The guacamole comes with chicarrones which was a nice twist, but they douse it with a super spicy sauce and they were inedible. The queso in the queso fundido was hard. Our meals included the chicken enchiladas and chicken tacos. My daughter did enjoy the tacos, but I did not like the sauce in the enchiladas. The service was ok, but we were rushed. This will be a skip next time.

This was my first time at this Disney restaurant, and the view and ambiance have always been spoken highly of, and I enjoyed them! It reminded me of Blue Bayou over in Disneyland. We started with the chips and salsa and queso, and the restaurant does get points for sharing a kitchen with La Cava, because their queso is one of my favorite things! I'd recommend it to anyone. Our entrees were the spicy shrimp with rice, and the chicken with potatoes, poblanos, and a poblano sauce. The flavors overall were really great! I loved the poblano sauce and the chicken was very tasty. The thing I'm hung up on is the value - the entrees were good quality, but for a $32 price tag on each, the price for the portion size wasn't there for me. Disney has plenty of restaurant with a ton of food for the same price range, so I don't feel like this the best bang for your buck on property. I'm really glad we tried it and the service was excellent, but not sure it will be a staple for us as locals.

Growing up this was one of my favorite places to eat with my family and go on the ride. Went this week and not only was ride broken, but food has gone downhill extremely. The taste of Mexico is gone and the Quesadillas are actually just tacos with chicken and cheese. Nachos had frozen guacamole. Never going back.

We like this place. Sat down and ordered queso, server was very accommodating. Both adults ordered enchiladas. One mole sauce one regular but to me they tasted exactly the same. Kids got kids meals. Be forewarned if your kid is over 9 they charge you double. $26 for what looked like Panera Mac n cheese. $33 for meat tacos (just meat on tortillas no toppings whatsoever) Neither enjoyed. I'd return without the kids. Of course the environment is cool with the volcano and Mayan temple on the wall. Tide is currently down. Seating is very close quarters. They stuff those tables together.

I haven't been here in a long time and a friend suggested we go. I had the Tostadas de Pollo which wasCrispy Corn Tortillas topped with Beans, Chipotle Chicken, Cilantro, Queso Fresco and Crema Mexicana. This was part of the appetizer menu but I found the portion to be big enough for me. I'm not sure how you would actually share this if there were multiple people at the table. The tortilla was fresh, and there was plenty of filling on it.Our server was really nice and kept bringing us water...it was super hot out! I'm never usually a fan of sitting in the dark at restaurants, but the lighting wasn't too awful.
