Today we had the Biste (Steak) sandwich and it was sooooooo good. It did have a sweet taste to it. I've realize that you don't get a ton of fries when it's to go but nonetheless it was enough for us both. I'll keep posting as we try the other ones. Yummy!!!

Wow, This hit the spot and calm my cravings for my puerto tucán heritage good. Even though I cook PR food but this was just like being home on the island. My husband that is Caucasian loved it; especially the yuca. It's clean, music "salsa " was just right and the price was prefect. We had two lunches (from buffet) water, Malta and two desserts (a quesito and a pastillas de Guayaba). It was a total of $28. Best and cheapest meal we had while on vacation.I may be bias, but I recommend. Go try another side of Spanish food.

All, I can say is wow. 1st of all I'm a big fan of Latin cuisine. This particular restaurant is a New York transplant, Dominican/Puerto Rican etc. All I can say I was in the right place at the right time to discover this little gem. It's nothing fancy, but your taste bud's will appreciate it. So if your ever near the Orlando FL. Area pay them a visit.

I've been looking for a local Spanish place for a long time. Found this little joint and decided to give it a try. I'm a big fan of mom and pops joints. Place is very small and needs decors through out, looks plan and not attractive. I ordered to go. We ordered arroz blanco con habichuelas and carne frita. and arroz junto con habichuela and chicharrones de pollo. Well arroz blanco is just arroz blanco but the habichuelas had some good taste so did the carne frita, arroz con habichuelas was also good so was the chicharrón de pollo. I forgot to add the meal came with 3 tostones but one of my order just has 2. I was shorted a tostone.my million $ question. Would I go backI guess u would even though they shorted me tostone.

As soon as you walk into the place, it looks pretty bland as the walls are a solid color of grey with no decorations really. The TV in the corner is not playing anything and it just seems so empty inside. When you walk up to the counter, the attendant is nice and helpful. If you don't speak Spanish, you'll still manage since the menu is pretty straightforward. So one thing you will notice is that the rice and beans are already made are in a hot buffet. This is all fine and dandy as most Latin restaurants are not going to make the Rice and beans from scratch. However, what annoyed me was the fact that they instantly brought out the rice and beans while my food was cooking. This made no sense to me because the rice and beans are just sitting there while I wait for the food. I literally put my dinner plate over the rice and beans so it would stay warm. Granted, when my steak and Mofongo came out, they offered to warm up the rice and beans but I don't want food that is warmed up in a Microwave. It kind of is common sense and as previous reviews have mentioned, they don't seem to understand basic restaurant courtesies. The service wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination but just seemed incompetent at times. That being said, I have to admit the food is excellent. Special mention should be made of the Mofongo which clearly was made fresh and tasted amazing. Ultimately, decor and service matter but it is the food that is the ultimate determination of a restaurant's worth. The food here is excellent. That being said, the prices are pretty high and the service seemed odd at best.I still recommend eating here if you are in the area and are looking for some good Mofongo.
