1st time there. Waitress pointed to a table & as we sat she said immediately, in broken English that they do not have menu's printed in english. She walked away & because we do not speak/read Spanish, we left, never to return.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, the place was empty. The service was great! It would be sad if it wasn't. LOL. Ordered a Cubano sandwich, fresh pork, balanced ingredient's. I'll be back to try other items on the menu.

NOTE: More of a 3.5 Star review!I'm always down to find a good Rican spot to eat, especially if they are close to home. I drove by this place the other day and vowed to return when it was open. (I believe they are closed Sundays and Mondays)I called in an order for pickup and asked the lady of there were any lunch specials and she told me of an option they had. It consisted of a meat, rice and a side for about $8.50. If I remember correctly, the meat options were fried pork chunks, fried pork chops or fried chicken chunks, then for rice it could be white rice and beans or price with pigeon peas. And lastly sweet plantains, tostones, or a salad. I went with: Carne Frita, arroz con gandules y maduros. I arrived at the restaurant and noticed it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It's cute and quaint with some Puerto Rican decor. The ladies working there were not welcoming or upbeat, but rather bland. However, my order was ready when I arrived and I was checked out in minutes. There was only a couple sitting at a table and the rest of the place was empty. (Not a great sign for prime lunch time). I took my order to go. When I arrived home, I noticed the meal was rather small in size. I guess you could definitely call it a lunch portion, but I feel for $8.47 they should have added a drink at the very least. But with that aside, the food was pretty. The meat was tasty, the rice tasted homemade and the maduros were just ok (I like them more sweet). Overall, it was an OK first impression for good food at a short distance from home. I would have to go for dinner to see if they step it up and update my review.

We are already planning our next meal here! We started with the shrimp pastellios.. Very tasty. We split the red snapper criollo. That was one of the better whole fish entrees we've had in a long while. Correctly cooked, crunchy outer and tender inner, the sauce was so good we asked for extra for the Trifongo. We devoured the fish before really touching the sides it was sooooo goooood. The trifongo was delicious. We also had the arroz con habichuelas which was a nice offset to the criollo sauce. Then we finished with both silky smooth vanilla and cheesecake flans and cafe bustelo. Decadence.The service was very attentive. We'll be back.

Deltona, FL location! Horrible! ordered Breaded Cube Steak, Sweet Potato Fries, and Tostones. The steak was nasty dark greasy overcooked inedible. incredibly a total of 7 Fries and 3 stale tostones. 7 Fries! who can be sooooooo cheap? My wife ordered mofongo with Shrimp in red criollo sauce. the mofongo was so hard, had hardly been smashed , most;y stale pieces of stale plantain with no chicharrones don't even think they wasted a clove of garlic. And worst, the red sauce was a watery mix of tomato sauce and water. The Shrimp was so gummy and scary to even consider that it all ended up in the garbage. Ohh and they require to be prepaid over the phone and get all your cc info total strangers....and the girl had the nerve to ask about adding a tip for her, for having taken an order over the phone? Never ever again! Never have we felt so disrespected and insulted. Shame is on them.

I think a key requirement for working here must be a complete lack of manners. I've visited a few times because it's the closest Puerto Rican food spot to me, but unfortunately, the experience is consistently disappointing. I've finally decided that the food isn't worth the poor service. It takes over an hour for the food to arrive, and the portions are small.On my last visit, the server was extremely rude. As I was heading to the restroom, the cook yelled at me to stay in the front. When I asked the server if I could use the restroom, she curtly replied, "Yes, it's over there," while gesturing dismissively. During the ordering process, she criticized every option I considered and rushed us to order because new customers were coming in. Lastly she only came once to the table to hand the checks. I would've given 0 stars but the app doesn't allow me.Complete lack of professionalism 0/10 would not recommend

This family own authentic Puertorican cuisine restaurant offers a great menu variety of delicious food. I recommend the Arroz Mamposteao. The best in central Florida. The cozy ambiance together with the great, lovely and personal service that is provided by their servers and family members makes this restaurant the place to go for Latin food.
