Sabor Del Caribe

I was craving some Dominican breakfast and decided to look up spots nearby and this place came up. It is a small hole in the wall restaurant in a shopping center...but the food is delicious. I had mangu con los 3 golpe and it was perfect. We also ordered an empanada and it was very tasty as well. This place doesn't look like much and the area isn't the prettiest...but the service is good and the food is cooked by an actual Dominican. I would definitely eat here again.

The food was very good, the prices are very reasonable althought the portion size is significantly smaller compared to other Latin food restaurants. The restaurant is casual, Hispanic music and drinks. The service was fast since I ordered from what's available in the line, full menu offered as well upon request/order.

Good food, good portions and fast. Will come again. They have a sit down area and a lot of space. Service was fast and even if there's a language barrier they were nice.

I was looking for a place to eat Dominican breakfast (mangu, salchichón, queso frito y huevos) so we stopped in to check this place out. We were a bit skeptical to go in because the restaurant's lighting was quite dark. Nonetheless, we were hungry so we decided to sit and eat. There were only about three tables occupied, but I saw several people stop by order and take it with them. The breakfast was tasty and much better than I had hoped. The two waitress ladies were very nice and attentive. I will return but will most likely just order and take the mangu with me. I'd love to see this restaurant upgrade their lighting. It will really change the ambiance and make you feel more welcome. By the way, I ordered a sancocho to go and not only did they not include the rice (which is a must), the sancocho was very bland. It had all the ingredients, but did not taste like anything. I took a star off for the sancocho and another for the lighting.

Amazing food. I have been several times to pick up lunch as I work in the are. I usually order the pernil with yellow rice and beans. It comes in large and small sizes but you must get the small. It is huge. Well flavored, crispy and yummy. Rice was spot on. Quite a few tables to seat down and enjoy your food. I have also tried the fall off the bone chicken which was amazing. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Went here for breakfast, it was so good we came back for dinner. Breakfast gets 5 stars, we had eggs, salami, mangu, and fried cheese everyone loved it. Dinner left a bit to be desired so it gets 3 stars, the beans were a bit bland for my taste and my moms pork chops were a little dry. The staff was fast and friendly and the prices were low.

The Restaurant was clean and welcoming and the waitress was nice. That's where the pleasantries end. Ordered appetizers and did not show up until the main course had been served. We skipped the appetizer and decided to take it home since we started on the main course. From the first bite of our meal was cold and super bland except for the pernil. The pernil was super salty and unedible. The Mofongo was super dry and laked flavor. To add insult to injury a few hours later when we got home, we reheated the empanadas and discovered a hollow shell. I didn't remember ordering the diet or even the vegetarian "empaNADA". That empanada should have not made the table. Since we were 35 miles away, I did not go back. Not impressed and not going back.

There's so much a can say from this place... from the beautiful people that take care of you and the amazing food... this is the place a bring friends and family when they're missing a taste from home. Definitely our spot for Los 3 golpes!!! Mangú!!! Salami and cheese! Their flan and Dominican cake is delicious!!! Me encanta este lugar la comida es sabrosa! Las chicas te atenderán con mucho gusto!

Worst place to get food from!!! I ordered food to go, but my son wanted to eat right away. They told me since I ordered it to go, I ad to leave. I let them know they take your food and give me my money back. They refused to give me my money back or let me sit there and eat the food that I already paid for. I won't ever go here again!!!Español:El peor lugar para obtener comida de !!! Pedí comida para llevar, pero mi hijo quería comer de inmediato. Me dijeron que desde que ordené que se vaya, debo irme. Les hago saber que toman su comida y me devuelven mi dinero. Se negaron a devolverme mi dinero o me permitieron sentarme allí y comer la comida que ya pagué. No volveré nunca más aquí!

My wife and I had lunch yesterday and this is our favorite restaurant now! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent.The owners, Frank and Lourdes were friendly and made us feel like family. We will be going back...often.
