Royal Asian Bistro

I read another review where they awarded a 5 star rating to this oriental food restaurant, and I decided to treat my hubby to a lunch out. We enjoy trying new eateries and we chose the Royal Asian Bistro. What a treat!! The 5 star rating, in my opinion, was absolute! When we arrived, we were greated with a genuine, friendly smile and a "welcome". My hubby is a diabetic and I asked the young lady behind the counter if all their dishes were prepared with sugar (a BIG "no no" for a diabetic) or was it possible to order a dish made WITHOUT sugar. The receptionist went back to the kitchen to inquire an obtain an accurate answer (we really liked that .. no guesswork). We were told that many of the sauces for some dishes are already prepared containing sugar, but, some of those dishes contain a very small amount of sugar. Also, they had some dishes containing no sugar at all. This was pleasing to our ears and we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was was not large, and was neat and clean. It was fairly full already but we were seated immediately and given menus by a very friendly server who asked us what beverages we would like while deciding on our meal. We both are seafood lovers so we chose an appetizer of crab rangoons (6). I opted for an Asian Shrimp lunch special which came with a cup of very good, egg drop soup that had a suprisingly delicate, but very pleasant, enjoyable taste. Not the strong chicken noodly flavor that some places serve. I ate EVERY DROP. The JUMBO shrimp was in a lightly spiced garlic brown sauce with mixed veggies (green peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, carrots and a touch of celery). The sauce was "labeled .. hot garlic sauce" but my inquiry as to "how hot" was answered as "very little". Our server was right .. it had a delightful slight amount of heat that evolved only as you were swallowing. The dish consisted 10 or 11 JUMBO shrimp. I'm not kidding .. JUMBO! It was quite good ... and the portion was large (literally half of the plate). It came with tasty fried rice with a small amount of veggies in it that filled the other half of the plate! What an excellent lunch special and all of it .. cup of egg drop soup, jumbo shrimp with mixed veggies and fried rice .. all for only $10.99! I couldn't eat it all and took 1/2 of the shrimp dish home as well as the 6 crab rangoons ($6.99). We had ordered them to go.My hubby opted for a shrimp dish as well ... Thai Cashew Nut Shrimp .. lightly breaded jumbo shrimp, onion, green peppers, and carrots served in a very tasty brown sweet chili sauce .. Again JUMBO shrimp .. a large portion of about 10 shrimp at a cost of $15.99. Hubby changed the white rice to fried rice with only a $2.00 upcharge. Hubby ate the whole thing! He was a very happy camper. We each had a soda for our beverage.As a side note, when hubby tested his blood sugar in the evening .. it was at a normal level .. yeaaa! So, the small amount of sugar in his shrimp dish did NOT cause his blood sugar to spike .. GREAT NEWS for any diabetic .. no insulin shot was needed!Our lunch was really enjoyable .. in a quiet, friendly, clean, smallish sized restaurant, with attentive, happy servers, GREAT tasting food, and VERY REASONABLE prices. Our entire lunch .. a crab rangoon appetizer (6) that we ordered to go, my cup of egg drop soup (part of the lunch special) , 2 large portioned shrimp & veggie meals, and 2 sodas came to only $43.60. What a treat .. great food in a nice clean little restaurant, with very friendly people at great prices .. what more could a person want? If you enjoy Thai, Japanese & Chinese food at reasonable prices, I believe you'll enjoy the Royal Asian Bistro located in Orange City, FL in the shopping center right after The Olive Garden on Enterprise Blvd.We will definitely be going there again, and again! Happy day!!!

I read the reviews for this place and majority were positive. I had to try this place and was not disappointed. Very clean and atmosphere are great. Looks very up scale for this area of volusia county. Service is pretty good too. We ordered the hot n sour soup, spring rolls, sushi, and Mongolian beef. All of the food that we ordered were really good. No complaints there. I'll be back for sure.

This is by far my favorite Asian bistro in Deltonal orange city. They have a little bit of everything;Japanese, Thai and Chinese. The Thai fried rice is very good, not too spicy. I've gotten a hand full of sushi rolls here and they've all been good as well.Super clean restaurant and the staff is nice and accommodating. The lunch rolls are a good price, but tiny.Would recommend to anyone looking for some fresh, non greasy Asian food!

Another sushi spot has opened in Orange City! We need more places like this! I was so excited that this place opened nearby. The restaurant is cute and the staff are nice. We started off with the Krab Rangoon. They were good! We ordered a bunch of sushi! Everything tasted fresh and delicious! The Royal Special Roll was my favorite! All the rolls we got were good though. They have a bunch of different Asian cuisine on the menu that I'm dying to try. I definitely recommend this place if you love Asian food. I can't wait to come back here!

My Rating is 4-4.5 but I won't dock a star since It was exactly what we were craving, prices were fair, there was plenty of food and the hibachi is cheaper than other restaurants in the area! I will most definetly go back. They have a variety of foods of asian cuisine: thai, sushi, hibachi, chinese, curry ect. Plenty of seating inside, food came out quickly, waitresses were really nice and welcoming and the bathrooms were clean. Food was also super yummy! I really enjoyed their fried rice and they give you a lot of veggies- which I enjoy!

Food was excellent. Staff and service were very nice and helpful. I liked the ambiance. Restaurant was clean. We ordered the sushi boat for two and it was perfect. I never had raw scallops before and man did it not disappoint. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Decided to try this spot on a whim after my husband and I decided we wanted to sit down for dinner and not spend too much. I'm glad we went! We got the pork fried wontons, honey chicken, and Chicken Panang. The wontons were solid, 6 for $6 is great. The honey chicken still had some crisp to it and I loved the texture of the sauce, it didn't have a ton of flavor and if I was told it was sesame chicken I wouldn't have questioned it. It was still good! My husband had the panang and he wouldn't stop raving about how good it was, but he wishes it had some spice to it. We also appreciate the decent pricing on our meals. The restaurant itself was quiet and clean (we went on a Thursday night). We wish our server was around a bit move but overall we had a good experience for sure and we'll be coming back.

Royal Asian Bistro is easily one of the best Asian spots in the area. My previous go-to Asian spot was Red Bowl on Saxon Ave, but I already feel Royal Asian Bistro is better. The restaurant looks nice, the service is good, and the food is very good. We had fairly simple meals that consisted of General Tso's chicken with white rice and the Garlic chicken with white rice. Both meals were really good and flavorful. I did not see any pork on the menu, so unfortunately you probably won't be getting pork fried rice with spare ribs, but there is quite a selection of different Asian cuisines. I saw Chinese, Thai, & Japanese food on the menu. We will definitely be returning to try different items on the menu, but so far this is the go-to spot until someone else decides to replace them!

Decent and not too bad. Better than the other offers around town. Good mix of Japanese, Thai and Chinese

We ordered general tso , hibachi and red curry chicken. Out of the 3 the hibachi was solid. The curry was not great. I will try it again but order something different.
