Robata Japanese Steak House

Very small out of the way place in a small strip mall. The decor was minimal, but the staff was extremely friendly, warm, and inviting. They were more than willing to deal with my dining party's extremely finicky pallets. One of my dining companion ordered would could only be described as a full bucket of sashimi and was very happy with it. My NY strip and scallops were very good as were all the included sides with the hibachi style dinner. The prices were extremely reasonable, and I was very happy with the final bill. Overall, I wouldn't being a first date here, but it's a great family sit down restaurant where you're going to feel the hospitality as soon as you set foot in the door.

Good, solid hibachi experience at Robata today! We came in for a late lunch/early dinner. They were accommodating that some folks wanted the lunch and others wanted the dinner menu, which was nice. Prices are average for a hibachi restaurant, and they have a ton of combination options for dinner but less so for lunch...so went with dinner knowing we'd probably have a bunch leftover. My husband got the filet and shrimp, and I got the scallops and shrimp. In addition to the hibachi, my husband and I also ordered the Volcano roll. It was super good, and we'd order it again. The dinner was cooked well with the usual fanfare and theatrics one expects at a hibachi restaurant. The cook was jovial and quick. We enjoyed that dinner comes with rice and noodles, which is a little of a nuance from other hibachi restaurants where we've eaten. We had a ton of food to bring him though I will say it was a bit heavier on the rice and noodles than veggie portions. In terms of the restaurant itself, it needs a little love. It's not terrible but could use some TLC in the near future. However, food is good and that's what I ultimately use to judge a restaurant when it comes to reviews. Overall, it was a super sold visit today and somewhere we would come again.

The restaurant isn't fancy like Aji, but it's clean with well maintained decor. The food and cost were average. The service team awesome. The staff cooked some food in the back to avoid cross contamination of meat/seafood and other foods. They also took time to sing happy birthday to my nephew and my deceased son's memory. I recommend and will go back.

Our son went to this restaurant for a Summer Camp field trip. He brought home left over noodles with Yum Yum sauce so we decided to order Robata as take out for dinner! The portions are huge. Food was temperature hot. We ordered the Chicken & NY Strip Hibachi and the NY Strip & Shrimp Hibaci. Both come with vegetables, fried rice, noodles, soup and two large shrimp. Our child loved the experience and the food from the restaurant on his trip and we loved the delicious food from take out. We plan on going to have a family dinner sometime soon at the restaurant to have the full experience my child had on his trip, but I wanted to leave a review for their take out!

We came here with family who had recently moved into the area. We were seated fairly quickly and our orders were taken quickly too! The hibachi style service was very good, and of course entertaining! Overall the portions were fairly large. Something odd to us was that each hibachi meal came with shrimp on the side. We had never seen something like that before! The restaurant itself was lacking in terms of being taken care of. There were water stains on the walls and ceiling tiles, and the bathrooms weren't the cleanest either. Parts of the restaurant seemed a little run down. Overall the food was good, but the restaurant itself needs an update/good cleaning!

Food is excellent very, fast too which is perfect after work. the staff are always so kind hearted toward me! Gonna miss this place when I move!

Went there for wife's birthday with the extended family. Had a couple of kids and grandparents too. We all were SUPER impressed all around. From the filet to the martini to all the trimmings, it was 99% perfect (cook the shrimp a little less). The rice and pasta were absolutely delicious and the yum yum sauce was exactly what the same says!Service was amazing, I don't think we had a drink ever go past half empty and the chef was amazing. Chatted him up a bit and he was very pleasant. We all were cracking up over the pee pee water bottles he used to spray some water all around. It's exactly as the name states and was hilarious! The show of a hibachi was as good as anywhere I've been around Orlando.The place is huge! Have lived out here for years and didn't know we had this gem in our backyard. Walked in the door expecting a couple tables and a small interior. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

The reviews are misleading this place is decent. A little wear and tear on the furniture but the food is good. Came for dinner with about 7ppl. The drinks were strong and the food was good. Good prices for hibachi.

As someone who goes to hibachi quite often this experience was average to below average. You pay for what to get. We went for an early lunch and the pricing was good, however the food and experience (the show of it all) was average or less than. The fried rice was excellent, the steak and shrimp were decent, the vegetable side and noodles were disappointing. I did a noodle add on and didn't even eat them, they were not very appetizing. The show experience was also quite mediocre. I personally wouldn't go back but if you're looking for decent hibachi style food with not the best performance this isn't an awful spot - just average.

Service is insanely bad and food is mediocre. You will wait to get seated for a long time and no one comes and talks to you or ask if you need help or assistance, there was a line of about 17 people through the door that hadn't been helped
