Visited from Houston.The service was good. No complaints there. I LOVED the short rib and DEFINITELY recommend it. It was very tender and filling.

I love a good burger, so I was excited to find a wagyu burger on the menu. I ordered sweet ice tea to wash it down. Very disappointing. The burger was over salted. Same with the truffled Parmesan fries. And the sweet tea was indeed sweet. Subtract an additional star for being the most expensive entree. Add two stars for friendly service and generous mixology.

This place is on property. The restaurant didn't close for another hour but when we got there, we had to order in the bar area. The food is expensive and not worth it. You'd think for the price point, it would be better made. The crab cake had minimal crab meat. We ordered a burger well done and it had a ton of pink on the inside. The fries were over salted. Just go off property and get better food.

We arrived at the resort late and tried the closest restaurant versus venturing out. The restaurant was not very busy, but we had a long wait to get seated. It seemed pretty clean, and Valarie, our waitress, did a good job keeping our water glasses full and taking care of us.I had the braised sorry ribs. I will start with the asparagus they were cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes looked and tasted like they had been on a steam table all day. Finally, the short ribs were too salty.The stuff shells had a "meh" review from my daughter. My wife did like her capresse salad.

Zaynah provided excellent service and was very friendly. The place was pretty empty, which made for a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. The short rib was tender and flavorful, while the mango habanero wings had a perfect sweet-and-spicy kick. For dessert, the crème brûlée cheesecake was a unique and indulgent treat, and the chocolate cake was rich and satisfying.

Got to the resort late and wanted to eat somewhere quick. We requested and outdoor table, but the heater wasn't working. A very nice young gentleman got it going for us. I had the caprese salad and prawn cocktail. No complaints about my food. My son ordered a steak. It was over cooked and very gristly. His loaded baked potato looked like it had been under the broiler too long, with burnt cheese. We both ordered drinks, which were good. Overall not a great value for the prices.

River Island Grilling Co is that little place to get away and enjoy some good food. Had many meals here and all have not disappointed. From steaks, to fish, to gator bites it's nice to get out the pool and have a place to enjoy a meal. Full bar so you will not go without your favorite drink. Usually open in the afternoons.

This is a convenient place to eat when we stay at Orange Lake Country Club. The wait for a table is usually not very long and the food is reliably good. We had a Tradewind Burger and a Shrimp Rice Bowl. We waited a while to get our food. The food met our expectations.

Fantastic service, January not busy, five star breakfast. Great menu. I had blueberry pancakes with lavender syrup fantastic not to sweet and just a little bit of lavender taste. Marshmallows whipped cream to top it all off.

River Island Grilling Company is a restaurant onsite at the Orange Lake Resort. We dined there after a relaxing day at the pool and a nap in our air-conditioned room. The staff was very attentive, the food was delicious, and the margaritas were perfectly perfect. I had a question about my meal regarding ingredients and allergies, and the staff made sure there was no cross-contamination.
