I have heard about Rise for a while now and it was even better than I expected. It's somewhat tucked away, next to The Drake and has ample outdoor and indoor seating. You order through one of 2 tablets on the counter when you first walk in and the team gets busy making your order. You watch the progress on 2 monitors that show the orders being worked on and the ones ready. They also text you when your order is ready so you can get a table outside while you wait. If you order online or through the app, there are cute heated food lockers where they place your order and you can just pop in and grab it.Being new year's day, my stomach was not necessarily ready for a lot of flavors so i ordered a plain chicken biscuit. It was AMAZING. The biscuit was big enough to cover a filet of chicken and perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and soft inside. My friends ordered the biegnets and said they were delightful. I will definitely be back when I can be more adventurous!

I didn't but even know this location existed, GPS led the way. The location is convenient for downtown living, but parking could be a problem for others. Everything is strictly done by computer, and the people only prepare the food and hand it to you. This location had places to sit inside and out as I hear the other has limited seating outside. The food was good but a little pricey. We tried the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, chick and grits bowl, tater tots and blueberry biscuits. The grits weren't as thick as I like but they were seasoned. Everything was pretty good and the biscuits are thick. I suggest eating the blueberry biscuit fresh.

Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken hits you with a rather interesting vibe from the start: you order via touchscreen at the front (fairly straightforward), and then find out there's no classic chicken-egg-cheese biscuit on the main menu. Apparently, you have to "build your own" to the tune of a higher price. I tried the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with tots, and while both were tasty, it felt like my wallet got a little too toasty. Also, no fountain drinks. Just bottled beverages and basic coffee. Guess that's one less machine for them to clean, right?Let's talk logistics: the restroom is basically a hidden adventure. There isn't one in the restaurant itself, so you trek to a single bathroom down a back hallway, and once you're done, there's no way back in. Instead, you're spit out into an apartment building like you just leveled up in a video game. Throw in the fact that there's no free parking (it's downtown, after all) and it's a bit of a trek to find the place, and you might want to consider going only if you're already in the area. Good biscuit, sure, but you'll pay for it, one way or another.

Happy 1500th review to me! I heard about this place a while back and made it my mission to try it while in the area. I wasn't in the mood for a typical breakfast sandwich/biscuit. I was going to go for a chicken biscuit, but then I came across "sweet country blues." This is seasoned pork sausage on a glazed blueberry biscuit. Sweet, savory and delicious! I never thought to put blueberry and sausage together, but it absolutely worked! It was so so so good! It wasn't overly sweet at all. The sweet balance was perfect with the sausage.I also had some tots. The menu described them as seasoned. While they were good, more seasoning was definitely needed. I ordered a side of boom boom sauce to dip them in, which was also good. I would definitely order from again!

Rise Southern Biscuits has been one of our family's favorite weekend breakfast spots. Each order is made fresh, and their biscuits are the best (blueberry is my favorite)! Their menu is simple, delicious, and reasonably priced, which makes it especially easy to love. Service is always fantastic, and we love seeing Don there -- he's such a great person and makes each guest feel welcomed! Highly recommend this location for their wonderful food, service, and ambiance.

Rise Southern Biscuits is a welcome addition to the area, offering a quick and easy ordering experience through their kiosk system. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure you have everything you need. The chicken is absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy and flavorful, and their variety of sauces really adds an extra layer of flavor to the meal. However, the biscuit itself was a bit on the dry side for my taste. Despite that, the overall experience is still great, and it's definitely a spot worth trying if you're in the mood for some hearty Southern comfort food.

Very little interaction with the staff... you place your order at the kiosk, they will text you when the order is done (and you can watch the order progress on a screen), and then pick up at the locker when ready. But the biscuit sandwiches and water tots are a nice sized portion. The inside is clean, and seating is available if you choose to stay and eat.

Beautiful area and great vibes!! The biscuits were moist and didn't need anything to wash it down. I've always wanted to try it and when we were in town we couldn't wait to try it. We didn't have to interact with the staff because they have screens to order from so everything came out in a timely manner.

I went here for breakfast when in the area based on Yelp, and was glad I did. I was greeted promptly and shown to a table. The restaurant is not fancy but neat, clean, and well maintained. I had coffee and their Founders Hash and Eggs. It has corned beef hash, two eggs, toast, and home fries. The food was served quickly. I enjoyed the breakfast. The only complaint might was that the hash had some non-chewable gristle. Carmen was my server; she took good care of me. I'd go back.

Wow, I can't believe it has taken me this long to try Rise! I totally get what all the hype is about now. We ordered through their easy kiosk system and the food came out quickly. They also have these little heated food lockers, so if you order online or through their app, they'll place your order in a locker and you can just pop in and grab it. Even though their service system is fully automated, their managers and staff were still walking around to each table and making sure guests had everything they needed. It was also nice to hear their story about how they started in North Carolina and how everything is made fresh to order from scratch. I decided to try their hot honey butter chicken biscuit and their seasoned tots. No lie, these were probably the best tots I've ever had. Perfectly crispy and seasoned with their zesty Rise seasoning (seemed similar to Old Bay seasoning). I'm not a big biscuit girlie, but I'm officially a huge fan of their cheddar biscuits. It was not too dense and the sandwich itself was a generous size. The chicken had a great balance of sweet and heat. There were a lot of other sweet & savory items on the menu that caught my eye like the jumbo cheddar tots and their blueberry biscuits, so I look forward to going back and trying more.
