Richter's Burger

It was a very interesting approach how they do things. It's not quite what you would consider "quick service" but more table service with a twist. You have to find a table before you order. Then you scan your QR code or use the app to order. The food was a little bit pricey for what you really get. While the burgers are good to me they are just average and not anything to rave about. It wasn't like eating the best burger ever. I did appreciate the care they took when finding out that mine had to be gluten free. The manager was very nice and came over to make sure it was done properly. The restaurant decor fit the name of you consider it's called richter. They have a giant Richter scale on the wall that lights up and then every so often a detector goes off like it's reading a quake.

The Big One Combo costs $20.49 plus tax. It is a good burger with bacon and cheddar cheese, served with fries and a single serve Coca-Cola Freestyle® cup. However the burger was prepared very sloppily like and was not good eating experience. The service was horrible. if you placed your order using mobile order the server did not place our order on the table with care. As a result some of our fries ended up on the floor. And to top it off, she didn't offer a sincere apology when she did this. How bad is that. The older man who greeted us when we entered was knowledgeable and professional. 5 stars. The ambiance was a fast food restaurant style with the odd rumblings of an earthquake because it was the name of the former attraction before Richter's took over. So some patrons may not like that.

All these bad reviews are scary, but we received a pretty damn good mushroom swiss burger and fries. It was really busy, the tables are dirty, its loud and takes a good amount of time but thats just what happens at amusement parks, especially universal freaking orlando. The burger was good, and thats really what counts here.

Ehhhhhh .... I wouldn't come back at all. For a place that advertises burgers, it be super bland! The burger was flavorless, no wonder they hide the DELICIOUS BBQ sauce lmao. The hickory bullseye's BBQ sauce was delicious! It DEFINITELY needs that pair with the bland burger. The cheese wasn't even melted, it looked so sad. Now, the fries were delicious!! I don't even eat fries like that but they were delicious!! Perfectly salted. Didn't get the chili loaded fries but I will try that only next time with the easy mobile ordering option. The only thing doing them good is the mobile ordering quickness, clean tables, nice staff and fries! The milkshake - don't bother. Plain. Plain, bland burgers for double digits. Ugh.

I don't know why the stars are so low. The food is actually a fair price for a park meal- $20 for a full combo. Solid chunk of meat on the burger, brioche bun. Yes condiments are simple but it's a good solid burger. Fries are insane! So good. I loved the option to eat out on the deck by the water or inside. It's really cute. Also the staff were amazing + very helpful! We will be back our next trip!

I usually make a point to research places to eat beforehand, but given the somewhat haphazard and spur of the moment nature of our visit to Universal I hadn't looked at reviews for this restaurant. I wish I did. If you have read other reviews you see the general trend. It really does take about 40 minutes to get your food. And, given the ample opportunity to read the numerous scathing reviews during our excruciatingly long wait after ordering, our group was equally horrified and also hoping they were sarcastic. They were not. To mention ordering - you have to do it off of your phone, by making an account in their app. Our group of 5 people each had problems, and it took about 5x as long as it would have if there were actual servers. Things immediately looked concerning. This place, while having a fine atmosphere, sucked so much ass (and likely shoved that ass into the burgers) that I think it should be scrapped for something new. There is absolutely no reason that it should take so long. Sure, there is a ton of volume, but there are like 3 things on the menu. And given this volume, the buns should not be stale and old, and the burgers should not be cold. It was the worst burger I have ever had in my life. No redeeming qualities at all - the best part about it was the prepackaged condiments of ketchup and mustard. This is worse than the burgers we got in high school. To add insult to injury, if you try to save money by getting a cup for soda instead of a reusable souvenir mug, you cannot fill it more than once - there is a sensor in the cup to prevent you from doing so. If you want a water you will need to pay $6 for a bottle. Talk about gouging. Sure, the fries were fine. They were the best thing that this restaurant makes. But do yourself and your family a favor and skip this place. You could get better smells next to the bathrooms, and at least there the drinking fountains let you take two sips instead of stopping at one. After finishing our whole week long trip in Orlando, our group universally agreed that this restaurant was the worst part of the whole thing. Don't be the poor father who does that to your family.

It's a triple no, no, no... there is no variety in the menu on the burgers at all. The burgers are TASTELESS and EXPENSIVE!!! We spent $66 for 3 bacon cheeseburgers and fries. The bacon does nothing to enhance the taste of the burger so why waste the calories? I pulled mine off. Only ate mine because it hurts me to waste food and I was beyond starving from being in the theme park from early today. You buy a combo, they give you a cup with a barcode on it that the Coke freestyle machine reads and it tells you no more refills as you are getting your drink, what in the world is that about? Yucky burgers and I get one measly fill (and no refills) to wash that crap down? Good idea of ordering from the app and waiting at a numbered table for food to come out, but it took way too long for that subpar food to get to us... Plus they don't even clean the tables between customers. I had sanitizing wipes with me to clean our table off but the people around us were cleaning their tables with the napkins, the place was packed. I would never ever, ever come back again... tastes like a generic and cheap soy burger patty. Yuck!!!

Probably should've checked the reviews before checking this place out but I was so hungry. This isn't even the world's most okayest burger because nothing about a huge dry burger that sat under a warming light is okay. I just kept chewing hoping it would get better but it did not. I did however like that the fries were made to order but to have a restaurant and have burger in the name and they're cooked and put under a warming light is bold. The service is just okay. As the order was wrong initially. I did like the theme of the place giving it a earthquake theme added a little ambiance but I don't think I would eat here again. It wasn't good.

As with many places at universal, the food isn't good. At this location, they require to bring the food to a table- even if you want to take the food to go and walk around the park. Therefore you need to stand around and wait as long as it takes for a table to be free- sit down there even if you don't want to (and they are always filthy) and then you can order your food from the counter or in the app. Bad system to go along with the poor food.

What do you expect? I like that I can order from my table and they deliver But you have to go get the utensils and condiments And you must create an account to pay Food selection good but cold. Fries are cold. I like my plant based burger but that was cold too Vanilla shake was cold but sucks, just ice milk with fake vanilla, ugh Not much taste, should go fit chocolate next time, if there is a next time I like being hidden up here, there's an upper level, more private but best of all is the outlet I found Worth more than a hot burger around here Good for people watching and killing time on my iPad while I wait for hours as a floating chaperone No cushions on any chairs here so my bottom doesn't last long, prob their plan to keep us moving Loud noise level
