Rancho Mateo Colombia Steakhouse

I stopped in here at the suggestion of a Colombian friend. My first impression walking in was that it seemed very clean and spacious. There were plenty of seats indoor and out. I was seated right away. Surprisingly, there were only a few tables of people in there, even during the noon lunch hour. Perhaps, more local advertising is needed or something else to draw people in. There is a stage area so maybe they have live entertainment at night?I settled on a couple appetizers instead of a full meal. Unfortunately, the calamari was lacking in flavor and texture for me, even with the marinara sauce. It was tender but I didn't care for the breading. Not crispy enough and it was only the rings. It reminded me of a frozen package that I could just reheat at home.There was more success with the Colombian appetizers and in hindsight, I should have just stuck with those. I ordered one beef and one chicken empanada for $2 each. Both were cooked perfectly and had plenty of filling in them. It wasn't served automatically with sauces so I had to request them. The sauces were the pink sauce (basically ketchup and mayo), a garlicky green sauce (I think she called it a chimichurri sauce and an aji sauce. My favorite was definitely the chimichurri sauce but the tang and slightly spicy taste from the aji was good too. Finally, the arepa con queso was good as well, which I had dipped into a couple sauces.Overall, the service was prompt, except for when I had to pay. She checked in with me constantly throughout my dining, even to the point where it was a little much. However, at the end though, I had to flag her back to me to pay.I'm looking forward to stopping in again to try some authentic Colombian entrees next time.

What an experience! Laughter, music, volume, joy! Why wouldn't you love this?! We felt like we had been invited to someone else's party and we loved it. What a beautiful atmosphere, and the food was amazing. Next time I'm getting the steak!!

First time at this restaurant and let me tell you...I'm definitely going back. The staff is great, plenty of room for a ton of people. There's outdoor tables as well. Drinks are strong and the food is absolutely delicious. I had the Bandeja Paisa. It was insane. You get a very large portion of food and every component of the dish is extremely flavorful. I had it with a Churrasco steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare as I requested. Prices are very reasonable and you get a ton of food. Did I say I was going back?

Great family entertainment. Lots of space. You can dance and have a nice drink while the food comes out. Great portions and flavor. Our waitress was very attentive.

The place looks very clean. I am Colombian and a local and enjoyed my experience. The food is good. The way I see it, you should always stick to the house specialty. This is a Colombian restaurant so the Colombian food will be better. Had the carne a la llanera, which was cooked to perfection. I expected more of a wood-smokey flavor, given it is "llanera." The waitress, Yohana, provided excellent service. She was very attentive, responsive, and on point; great demeanor, too.

Te cobran por una botella de agua $4 dólares y de marca Kirkland que vale $.15 centavos........................... el y ambiente muy bueno pero la atención a la hora de servir la comida no es la esperada; pero para colocar el %18 de propina si son bueno pero para atender al costumer poco profesional.

I know how to describe how delicious is the food here. All the guys and girls they are amazing. They do a very very good service. Guys I do recommend this place

Great service! Good is phenomenal and the staff are all great but ask for Adriana great server. Great atmosphere!

Place was pretty cool and loud. Entertainment was cool. Food was good. Steaks where excellent. Place was pretty busy singing Happy Birthday to everyone. Only complaint was our server dropped food off and we didn't see her again. Someone else finally got us what we needed. The gratuity was also put on automatically for a party of 4. 18% we usually pay 20% but on a party of 4 well i guess they include it. Food is on point. Shouts to the singer.

Outstanding. A new fav in the Orlando area. Party-like atmosphere so don't come here for a quiet evening. Yet, very kid friendly. Very fun. People were singing along. Sad I did not know Spanish to join in. Excellent service. Juan was very attentive. Had the mini-Empanadas. Wonderful. The chicharron appetizer excellent. For main course the Bandeja Paisa. Wow. Just wow. Happy that I am going to Colombia next month if this is what I can expect. Well done. We will be back
