Race Car Diner

This is a nice small town diner with a racing theme. The servers are very friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty. The diner looked clean and cared for, although it is very small. Glad we found the Race Car Diner - don't know how we lived in Astatula for over 3 years without making it here. Definitely recommend.

This is a small traditional roadside diner with a classic assortment of dishes, including excellent hamburger, fries, and onion rings. Be sure to ask for their excellent onion ring dipping sauce!The tuna melt is also really goos, as is their cole slaw.Friendly down home service.

Great yummy food, friendly service and great atmosphere. We love their bbq chicken and mash potato, it was so delicious and tasty. Highly recommend race car diner.

Jamie is a sweet server and the place is a local joint with a lot of character. I'll recommend the cheeseburger and the meatloaf. A great little greasy spoon in Astatula and quite affordable.

So there we were, swampfest 2019 right down the street from this magical establishment, and boy were our bellies howlin! We needed some food stat. The pickins were slim, there's not many restaurants near by. Your only options were to go hunt down a gator and cook it up yourself or the the ole race car diner. Obviously we chose the diner considerin' we ain't never eaten any gator and boy did we ever make the right decision! The food was some good American homestyle cookin, and it made me feel like I was back on the ranch, YEEHAW! The staff was very polite and didn't complain when all my friends were goin in and out the doors to use the restroom. One of the workers even told me where I could go see some wild gators! Great food, great service, go check it out!

Even if you are not a race fan this is a nice little diner to stop in for breakfast or lunch! The smoked sausage breakfast had just the right amount of bite! Shanen really enjoyed her Loaded Philly Cheesesteak sandwhich!

So the other four reviews must be from regulars or friends who live nearby. This visit was two in one. First and last. OMG. HORRIBLE. The only thing fresh were the over easy eggs. If I had to guess, everything else was microwaved frozen food or reheated leftovers. Not worth the $26 we paid for our breakfast.

A local favorite where the service is always pleasant, the food good, and everyone is welcome.

Substandard ... Not worth stopping. I've had more satisfying breakfasts at McDonald's - sad to say.
