Ponderosa Steakhouse

Worst meal/experience in the area!!!When I walked up to the door and saw a "no refund" sign on the door, I should have gone back to my car. I didn't expect gourmet, but this???Don't believe the website! Most of what they say is on the buffet is no where to be found! Everything is dry! No condiments to be seen!And last, they say closing at 10:00....8:45 they were clearing it off. Seems they're closing earlier to remodel. Remember...no refunds!!!

A guilty pleasure from another era when social media meant hanging out at the mall and healthy eating was a mostly vague concept straight from the nearest shipment of Wheat Germ and the John Denver fan club.Bare bones Ponderosa "steakhouse" could always guarantee a shoe leather carcass and a lukewarm buffet of fixins' that would set you back less than a five spot. This concept has worn about as well as bell bottoms, mood rings and infomercial crooner Peter Lemongello (look him up.) Prison riots have started over less, the food here is to put it plainly, not good.What can I say, I'm a sucker for dead brands walking. My advice is to keep walking. Barely two stars.

Having dinner here recently really brought back childhood memories. It was decent but of course, not as good as I remembered. Now, I love a good salad bar so it hits the spot on that level, but besides the warm buttery buns, nothing else really stood out to me. I used to love coming here for the amazingly delicious breaded chicken wings they had, but now they only offered little wet buffalo sauced up wings or big fried chicken pieces. The friend chicken pieces were good, but I missed the wings. I go there mainly for the salad bar but they still offer the option of getting a meal (like steak & potatoes) and the salad bar on top of it. The pricing is fair and for how much you can eat it's not a bad place to go to with a larger group.

Haven't been to one in over 40 years. Was excited to come here. First the place us very old looking and everything needs some TLC. My wife liked the buffett but the deserts not to much. My steak was cooked perfect but no spices were added during the cooking process. Thank God for A-1 to add a little flavor. My fries were very crispy and hot. Went to the bathroom and it was gross. My feet kept sliding apart at the stand up urinal. First time giving two stars with over 100 reviews on yelp. Will never come back. Give it a try for yourself.

Looking forward to eating at Ponderosa. Big mistake. Everything seemed to be cooked the day before

It's Closed for Business !!! 20 minutes off the highway (I-4) and get there and it's been closed for a while. 20 minutes back to the highway to another area. Please update this restaurant as CLOSED

Disgusting! Disgusting! DISGUSTING! Consider the "No refunds" sign a WARNING! If you have no care for yourself or your family, eat here! The food was gross and stale, and it looked like hell!

I love the food ibut they are phasing out. I cannot find a Ponderosa. in 12 miles from East Fort Lauderdale.They were fabulous. I need a delivery because I don't drive.

Not worth it! We were charged 15 % gratuity for 5 ppl when the sign says 6! The greeter was horrible for this to be a tourist area, you'd want people to feel welcomed. I should have known by the parking lot being empty this place was a dump! We also only paid for buffet , no drinks just water .. so what is the gratuity for is we are serving ourselves? The waitress never came to refill our waters , instead we chased her down while she chatted on her cell phone. We were visiting and had memories from being a child and going to ponderosa, this experience helped us to realize all we have are our memories because ponderosa is not it anymore. Sad reality.

Ponderosa is not what it use to be. The price for your entre is pretty high for what you get . Salad bar is extra . The dessert selection was horrible ,dried out cake and some hard looking cookies. The apple crumble had dried porridge on top.$75 for 2 adults
