Pollo Tropical

I'm kind of sad. I love pollo tropical but unfortunately the previous reviews were right. I've been to so many pollo and the chicken was always fresh and juicy. The chicken at this location was so burnt to barely got any meat off the bones. I got a large portion of yellow rice and the plantains were good but the bowl of beans was mostly water. The sides were good but the chicken needs to be watched carefully, since they have a problem with burning them or keeping them under the light for hours? It was really bad and I'm sad that it wasn't better.

Employees lied saying a person picked up my order but no one came into the restaurant. whoever is working on Thursday 10 pm is ruining this establishments business. My dasher reported them and so did I. Pure laziness

The food from store number 10091 is ALWAYS burnt. Those no flavors to the chicken. the chicken was so burnt and black that it tore a hole in the styrofoam container it came in. All I smell is black chicken. 3224 e colonial drive.

Okay, Yelpers don't like this place. And really, Yelpers are almost always down on these low-to-mid-range chains, so the 2.5* average needs to be taken with appropriate consideration.Personally, this is the kind of place I'm happy to come to a couple of times a month for a quick, inexpensive, customizable, and tasty meal. The simple bowl I always order (see photo) is always satisfying, and at around $7.50 all-in, there's nothing to complain about. And for what it's worth, I vastly prefer it to the equivalent item at Chipotle (for one thing, PT uses identifiably white meat, while Chipotle uses a greasy mix of I'm-not-sure-what).

First time visiting this restaurant and I was very impressed. The chicken was very flavorful and the rice and beans were not bland. I got the lunch combo which was a great deal. The gingerbread cheesecake was a hit as well. It was an overall healthy and filling meal. I would definitely recommend and go back.

This a to go spot for me because I can find vegan options, and the food is usually good, but I'm starting to see that most fast food spots are prone to making mistakes. I've had a few times where they put the wrong item in my bag, but lately they've been good. I've been going back every once in awhile for lunch and am pretty satisfied with the service. I can't say the same for other pollo locations. They get 4 stars because they removed the beyond meat from their menu with no public reason to do so. :(

Picked up Churrasco steak platter, large tropichop bowl and slice of chocolate cake totaling a little over $35.00Steak was like rubber, black beans were runny and gray! Tropichop bowl was dripping over other items in the bag due to runny black or should I say gray beans and even the chocolate cake was lackluster. I would give zero stars if possible for this dinner that had to be thrown away! On the upside...eating at home for quite a while and will NEVER cost a Pollo Tropical EVER again! Beware if you go there

Depends. Been here before and it seems like they pull something I call the gringo special. Old hard crunchy chicken, old yucca and stale cold food. But sometimes it's perfect, they must not have had any lunch left over at dinner time.

Rude staff, closed at 10:20 despite open to 11pm signs all over the store. Always dirty.

I can't understand how guests can visibly see freshly cooked chicken being prepared on the kitchen grill/flat top and be served the driest, coldest, toughest chicken breast I've ever had. Very disappointing! My side Caesar salad was tasty, the plantains were also very good. I didn't enjoy the rice, but I know that's subjective. The star of the show should be the chicken and it was extremely poor, which accounts for my rating. The cashier was friendly and the restaurant looked clean. I would just not recommend the chicken breast. Had I not been with guests, I would have asked for my meal to be freshly prepared. I just didn't want to embarrass my party, or hold things up, so I let it go. But the point is, no one should be served chicken that's been sitting around getting cold and dried up. Restaurants succeed because the food and service are consistent. They set the bar high and try to exceed expectations. Hoping whoever goes to Pollo Tropical has a better experience than I did.
