Pollo Campero

I'm so happy Orlando got Pollo Campero back after the last location closed many many years ago in Disney Springs. I love the option of individual meals and family meals. For the family meals, it varies from 8 to 20 pieces. I always choose a half fried, half grilled option. They serve legs & thighs which are the best and the grilled chicken is so flavorful. Don't forget the Campero sauce!They also have nuggets, chicken sandwiches, bowls, and empanadas. They have some great sides too like rice & beans, plantains, and yuca fries. Love the horchata drink! Can't wait to try the flan next time.Make sure to download the app for rewards!

The fried chicken is good but their portions are absolutely unacceptable! I ordered white meat which was extra and the entire 2 piece meal had like 4-5 bites of chicken. Their mac n cheese is also good but the portion is also minuscule. I'm not sure how they get away with calling what I ordered a 2 piece meal since it wasn't even enough food to feed a toddler! Never again...

I treated my coworkers to lunch and thought this would be a great option. Inside is very spacious and can seat large groups if needed, we went around lunch time and it was really busy, we waited for over 30mins for our food, the staff was really nice and professional and provided updates throughout. They also offered us some cookies and flan so it made the wait bearable.Ordered:Two piece White meat, fries and sweet Plantains.The chicken was seasoned all the way through, crunch on the outside and moist on the inside. The fries was cold so I didn't enjoy those, but the plantains are really good. I loved the food though the wait time was long the staff was awesome!

If you're not Central, American it's a world famous fried chicken franchise. Think Southern fried Chicken with a Latin twist.You get fried or grilles chicken with typical Latin dish sides like platanos maduros, rice and beans, and some American dishes like nuggets and mac and cheese.

I give you 5 stars to bring up your score. Your grilled chicken is consistently underdone and zero crisp on the skin. The fried chicken is flavorless. The service people are so sweet and nice but they keep getting the orders wrong. Your beans are delicious. The Mac and Cheese is cold and lumpy. I just don't understand how you can consistently drop the ball. You will go out of business, I'm sure if you don't improve your management and recipes. Sorry for the bad review.

Ok. The food is fine. Nothing special and certainly not bad. That said the price point is absurd. There were zero cars in the lot and I PROMISE it is solely from the arrogance and audacity of their prices. I ordered a single empanada and a chicken sandwhich (no sides and no drink) and it came to $13. Now the sandwhich consisted of bread chicken and two slices of pickle. The upcharge on this item was laughable and does not even compare to ANY of their chicken sandwhich you would order. I truly hope that upper management rethinks their strategy. The food is worth the survival of this company but it will not survive at those prices.

Chicken is delicious. I live in Deltona and I look forward to traveling to Deltona so I can stop at El Campero for this banging chicken. For me it's better than KFC and Popeyes.

Disappointed! My wife and I went there for dinner excited about a new place for fried chicken. We ordered the 4 piece meal to share with two sides. The chicken pieces were two legs and two thighs. You would think that you would get at least one breast (my favorite) in that meal. The pieces were small so if you are dieting then this would be the place to go. The 4 piece meal is $15.40 and comes with a choice of 2 sides. We got the Yuca fries and the Sweet Plantains. The chicken was a major disappointment and greasy/small. We will not be returning! To us, the food was so bad that it was not work taking a picture. I always take photos but not today. I failed to mention, you get either a roll or tortilla with the meal except for us. It was never offered and we never received!By the way, the person after us got the same 4 piece meal and surprise, surprise, it had a breast.

First time there went through the drive thru, ordered 3 sandwich combos. Got home, discovered 1 meal missing. Called, they said come back. Asked if I could get a fresh fry order, not the whole meal just fries, since mine were at home getting soggy, the employee was not nice about it, at all. Won't go back.

My first time trying this franchise at their new location on Orange Ave in downtown Orlando, where I live, around 4pm. I walked in to place my order at the counter. The store and drive thru was empty of customers and the workers were talking amongst themselves. I ordered a 2 piece w/ fries and a roll and paid an extra $1.60 for the breast substitute (I don't even know if they sell wings) which came up to $11.50 for the 2 pieces of chicken with some fries and a dinner roll. My order was taken by one worker and filled by another who brought the order to me at the counter.My first mistake was not checking the order in the car before leaving and waiting until I got home to open the bag because I got a thigh and a leg with my fries and roll, which was not what I paid for. Disappointing to have paid extra for nothing because of the inattentiveness of the counter person, who filled the order, in a store empty of any other customers but me!My second mistake was paying $11.50 for 2 pieces of chicken with some fries and a dinner roll. The chicken was alright and the genetic fries and roll were just that, generic, and not really worth the price of the meal. smh
