From the owners of Shin Jung, a brand new Korean bar restaurant opened in the West Colonial Drive area near Metrowest. No reservation was needed on a Saturday night, but I had to park in the back and take a short walk to the restaurant. It wasn't too crowded when I entered, and I sat in the bar. I asked for a good drink and the bartender suggested the Busan boogie (16 dollars), which was also recommended by the guest next to me. It was a refreshing drink with the blueberries and other sweet bitters, and the bourbon was strong enough to be a little tipsy. However it was hotel expensive. For my food, I took the fish katsu (20 dollars), which included salad and rice with pickled radish. I was expecting small portions for a Korean bar, so I was surprised at the size of the plate. The fish was swai (part of the catfish family), which was mild and flaky. It tasted fresh and was lightly fried with panko, which made it filling. The salad was fresh too and the vinaigrette dressing was good. The rice had sesame and pickled radish, which had the right amount of crisp and sourness. I ordered the kimchi (3 dollars) as a side. It also had a nice amount of sourness and spiciness to enjoy. I wasn't sure if it was homemade, but still good. My bartender was friendly and helpful. Service was pretty quick too, and I was in and out within an hour. The atmosphere is pretty casual as it used to be an Ale House. I did like some of the Korean decorations, but felt the background music was a bit too light. It sounded like light soft rock and the crowd wasn't loud enough either. For a bar restaurant, I would have expected the noise and music to Pump It Up a bit more (Korean dancing game pun intended). The bar was in the center and dining area was ample. I didn't see outdoor seating though. Pocha 93 is located in a strip mall in the Colonial Drive area. Parking can get filling during the weekend, but you can still park in the back easily. I am very happy to see that Shin Jung added this restaurant near my parents' house. While the food and drinks are a bit pricey, it's filling and great quality. Definitely much better than the Chili's next door, and one I would visit again for nice Korean bar food.

Walking BBQWhatOfcourse I went some some pocha activities. A friend and I sat at the bar and did some so-meak and quick bites. Ofcourse we got some soju and meakju. I love that they have the korean beers (imported) which makes it so much better for the experience. They have a variety of sojus available (as expected). I love that they also complete the experience with the cups as need. Straight or mix it. EnvironmentLooks like this used to be an ale house that was repurposed. The inside smells like BBQ! Like for me, it isn't as attractive since I was not there for BBQ. Plenty of parking available outside and also quite a big space for seating inside with booths and bar seating. Niceness of the staffVery nice server. Good to see that the staff knows their stuff. Knowledgeable on the alcohol products, from the korean ways of drinking and types of beers and sojus.DollarIt was decent priced, a bottle was around 15$, can add up pretty quickly.YesNot really, don't want to smell like bbq...

Pocha 93 was a unique experience. We had a great date here because of the amazing hospitality and the attentive server. First time being a Korean Pub so I had no idea what to expect.Food: we ordered way too much food. So choose wisely if you are two person. We did spicy kimchi stew ramen called option Dul, and we added wings and two side dishes. Because we had to wait extra time for the spicy kimchi stew, the manager gave us two free appetizers so we were super stuffed. Their veggie mandu was probably one of the best one I had in Florida. The stew was more enough to feed 3-4 people. It was delicious and very well balanced. We enjoyed the Korea wings as well. The downside for this type of food is a bit pricey. I get it that it is unique but still. It should meet bar prices, not higher tier. However, they do have a lot happy hour specials and a new brunch menu. 4/5Service: amazing service by the server and manager. Both were super attentive and they definitely make their customers are enjoying their experience. The server seems to be very knowledgeable about their dishes. 5/5Atmosphere: awesome vibe with great vintage decorations. Definitely transformed like you were in a Korean bar. It even has a KAROEKE stage area. It has a lot space for seatings and it set up very well. 5/5 I would definitely come back to try their secret menu item like their secret burger. Looks amazing.

Do yourself a favor and order the Subak, Watermelon Soju asap when you get there! It's so refreshing and paired great with everything we ate. We ordered the wings (so so delicious), galbi, bulgogi beef, tteokbokki and sides of rice. The server was amazing helping us set up the grill and checking in on how it was heating for us to cook our meat. Everything had amazing flavor, we will definitely be going back. The space is awesome for both smaller and larger groups.

Came to Pocha 93 first time, good experience!! The restaurant is spacious and cool decors! We got the watermelon drink (MUST TRY), so good, with fresh watermelon juice! Cool concept!!Food was good, really flavorful, but some are salty (had to ask for more broth in the noodles dish). Fried chicken is pretty decent as well.Recommend going with a group so you can try different dishes as well.Server is friendly and attentive! Would come here again!!

The people behind the popular Shin Jung, one of my favorite spots, invoke the essence of Korean night street markets "pojangmacha" or "pocha" with their latest concept, Pocha 93.They capture a unique vibe with plentiful retro signs and Kpop playing on the speakers. Advertising itself as a hangout bar spot, they offer a variety of cocktails, beer, soju, and sake. They also have a watermelon soju mix that's served in a carved out watermelon. They serve a wide variety of food, from staple items like tteokbokki and fried chicken to the less common tangsuyuk and jokbal. Their main items are the iconic budaejjigae (army base stew) and odentang (fish cake soup) which can be ordered by itself or in a combo set that includes other dishes. The service here was definitely spectacular. Our waitress Kayla, explained the menu in incredible detail and answered all the questions our group had. She checked on us throughout the meal and made sure everything was going well. The food lived up to expectations. I liked the tangsuyuk and jokbal, although the budaejjigae was only okay for me. We ordered the Perfect Pear and Queen of Tears cocktails, both of which were delicious.I would say that this place is definitely on the pricer side, especially for the amount that you actually receive. And interestingly, banchan is ordered separately at an additional cost. I think if I really wanted a fun night out with some friends and lots of drinks I would make a point to come here. But if you just wanted a good meal you might find better value elsewhere.

A good spot! It was our first time going this last weekend and we will be back! The inside was decorated nicely so that it gave off a casual hangout dinner spot. There was a huge bar in the center and lots of table/booth seating. We started off with cocktails (Arise and Seoul-d Fashioned) which were both good but the Seoul-d Fashioned could have gone a little heavier with the gochujang (definitely just depends on your preferences though). We want to try the Soju next time! For food we tried a handful of different bar food choices. Everything was delicious but the wings were incredible!

Pocha 93 really prides themselves on fresh never frozen ingredients and all of their flavors made in house. This pub menu has plenty of small bites/bar food options, with a long list of Korean wine, beers, sakes, soju, and cocktails. In addition, you still find table-side Korean BBQ and stew. The perfect set up for sharing!

I am a big fan of Shin Jung, so when I heard they were opening a pub, I was wicked excited to go when they opened!Pocha is a Korean pub where they have light bites and plates, along with Korean bbq too. They have a great selection of soju, beer (some from local breweries), and cocktails. Walking into Pocha, I felt like I was transported to the 80s/90s in a Korean bar (even though I've never been to one, I imagine that's what it would be like!) Very cool retro looking decor. Our server was very attentive and we got our food as they were prepared. It was great ordering a bunch of food and sharing it among the table. I got the pitcher of lychee soju, which comes in a tall clear plastic looking milk carton, with fun lights inside. That was so much soju that I shared it between two other friends of mine. It was very sweet so I may not get it again (I don't drink too many sweet drinks) but it was fun to try.It was such a fun experience trying out the different Korean plates. I was adventurous and even tried the beef intestines! But ngl, I probably wont have it again but it was fun to have authentic foods. The downside for me (but may not be for others) is that it is located on West Colonial, past Pine Hills. It is far away from me to be able to frequent this place and I am never on that side of town. However, I will be willing to make a drive out there again for another dining occasion with friends!

Honestly I love coming to this place. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very chill. Good for a nice date night or night out to drink. I've been eating and drinking at the bar, but they have Korean barbecue as well. It's not all you can eat, but it's good food. The so-tteok so-tteok is the best bar food to eat while drinking. The staff and owner over there are super nice. They always try to accommodate to everyone's wants and needs.
