Piñones En Orlando

Being that I was visiting Orlando the week of July 28 I was on the hut for authentic Puerto Rican food especially an alcapurria so I went to several places, and to my surprise I couldn't find one, but I did end up finding one in this food truck, we had to wait because the food truck was setting up so I ordered 2 to and a shrimp ceviche which this I do not recommend the second I tried it , it had a fishy smell and then a fishy taste that's a no for me it was not good a waste of my money as I threw it away, NOW the Alcaprrias were phenomenal and definitely recommend! I did completely forget to snap photos as I was in the car and on the rush as I was about to hit the road back home

I haven't eat a good mofongo in east colonial a long time ago. I just found it probably they change their cooker because that mofongo was gooood also I try the mix cup octopus and conch it was good too. We definitely try again their mofongo and was quick too.

Wife and I were looking to have lunch on our way home and stumble with this food truck. I have to say that we were lucky to find this spot. The food was amazing, I felt like i was eating Seafood back in Puerto Rico. Octopus Salad and Mix Seafood Salad with plantains were on point. My only critic is that portions were small but pack with tons of flavor. I heard that their Mofongo is amazing, I will return to try it next time. If you find yourself near Colonial and 417 make a stop and try this amazing Food Truck.

Just picked up some food here and OMFG!! Delicious!!! I had Mofongo al ajillo which was amazing..it was flavorful and moist (the best I've had in a looonnggg time), and the shrimp where cooked perfectly. I also ordered the carrucho and it was so so so good. The flavor was on point and honestly I could have eaten a bucket full of it. If you haven't been here you really need to, you will not be disappointed!

Delicious, reasonably priced meals. So damn good! I am so looking forward to coming back when I return to Orlando in April. I totally miss this food in Albuquerque, NM my temp location.

Mofongo con carne frita. carne frita was dryyyyy and was looking old. mofongo not taste right I believe the place was sold to diferent nationality that not know about mofongo

Muy buena comida. Fresca y deliciosa. Very good food. Fresh and delicious. Has a nice urban feel to it definitely reminded me of New York

This place is delicious and has excellent prices. I had the mofongo and red snapper. The mofongo was moist ... not dry not soggy not salty or under salted and had pieces of crunchy chicharrón which not all places use inside their mofongo and the red snapper was flavorful and crispy. My husband also enjoyed his mofongo and fried pork which was just the right amount of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My daughter enjoyed sharing the red snapper with me and a side of tostones with a piña colada.Passion fruit and lemonade juice was also delicious. Only down fault we had to eat in our car because they have no seating outside but well worth it

I pity the mofo that don't know about mofongo. As a native New Yorker whitey, I myself lived many decades in the dark without this glorious meal. But that veil has been lifted with my special trip to Piñones en Orlando- a long standing mofongo truck just outside of a gas station in the middle of Orlando proper. For those who do not know, mofongo is a glorious tower of mashed plantains that are either surrounded by or filled with various meats- from seafood to pork- and served along with as at this cart, a side of chimichurri. And boy howdy does this food truck do a great job- the food is fresh as hell, the portions are generous and the memories made will last you a lifetime of pining. It really doesn't get better out of a styrofoam box, people. PLUS, you can also order a bomb virgin piña colada or passion fruit juice to wash down all that superb food. I wish such tasty mofongo was easier to find in New York... Florida done schooled me in the mofongo class.Piñones en my heart, Piñones en my mouth, Piñones en Orlando.
