Pickle Barrel General Store

almost did not visit this quaint venue due to previous reviews. We came not expecting good food or good service but for a chance to see a friends brother lead the karaoke singers, Hamburgers, wings and quesadillas were exceptional, beer and beverages were cold, patrons seemed mostly local's but we were accepted immediately as friends. give it a try.

Terrible! The tacos were cold and barely any meat or other stuff. The fries were expensive as a side dish but the fries were small and barely a handful.

My husband and I like trying and supporting locally owned businesses so we were looking forward to the Pickle Barrel. It's a bar/restaurant that apparently just really wants to be a bar. The menu was very limited and we were told only verbally that there was fish available which wasn't listed on the menu. I had the steamed shrimp which was fine, the cocktail sauce not so much. Hubs had a hamburger that appeared to be just a frozen patty, the type you can buy in bulk and a sad looking bun. Service was ok. Could be quite a fun place as a bar though. I won't go back for the food.

I can only say I really WANTED to like this place! We went in & I like rustic but this was a mix trying to be rustic, dark & old tattered carpet. The bartender/waitress was nice . The menu is very basic "ballpark" items, nothing special. Not even any homemade pickles like the sign said. We were going to order some corn dog nuggets till we saw it was 6 of them for $5, that's more than in a big city. We ordered a burger & fries. The burger was your basic "Bubba Burger" (don't really know if that was brand, but you get what I'm saying). I think this place is better suited as a place to go drink. If you don't think of it as a cafe (like the sign says), & think of it as a hole in the wall bar then it's probably just fine. But since this is Yelp & mostly food oriented, I must give it only 1 star. I might have bumped it up to 2 if they actually had some pickle based items.

Worst place ever. Bad service awful food. Go somewhere else. Worst food I've ever had. Made me sick

Stopped here for lunch. Limited menu of sandwiches and burgers. We both had the bacon double burger, and it was very good. Sides are homemade. We had potato salad and cole slaw which were great! Kathy runs the place....she is the cook and the server. Interesting gal!! We would go back. One customer told us that the chicken salad is good!

It's an ok place. Limited menu , sandwiches and burgers. Small place that is nothing to write home about but if ya need food stop in. But don't go out of your way

Happened into this bar/grill by chance and so glad we did. Best burger I've had in quite awhile! And the bartender made a really good margarita. I wish it was closer but I'm going to make a point to stop back.
