Parva Colombian Bakery & Restaurant

It's a rather small location. NOT TINY, a "hole in the wall". Still a damn good eatery. Server: JJVERY attentive, sweet, informative. didn't rush, answered any & all questions. Quesadilla, Steak: The only advice I can give for this order: If you order this, MAKE SURE you're legit hungry. If not, make sure you also have room in your fridge for leftovers*. It's got MANY different ingredients that put it together, it's a LOT for the mouth, tastebuds. On the other hand, it's also a perfect equation of flavors. Every bite hits the spot. *It's SOOO (blank)ing good, I'd be surprised you even have some to take home. Dessert: Pastelillos de Guava y Queso - Trust me, have this with a glass of milk, tea, even a WINE & you will not regret it. I think it could be a LITTLE better with more of the filling, but that could also just be my appetite's criticism. It's enough to share with a table of 5. At least it was in my scenario.

As my mom is from Colombia, my husband and I wanted to take her to Parva as we had such a positive experience when they did their soft opening.This is Parva's second location. They are a free-standing establishment situated on the outskirts of downtown DeLand. They are both a bakery and a restaurant. When we went, we ate at the restaurant.All of our food was delicious! I started out with chicken empanadas. The green dipping sauce put them over the top and I really good drink whatever that green sauce was! For my main course, I ordered tostones topped with chicken...and I of course asked for more green sauce. My mom opted for the national dish of Colombia: Bandeja Paisa. The dish has an array of meats accompanied with plantains, an egg, avocado and rice. She loved it but it was too much for one person so she kept throwing meat onto my husband's plate (which he happily accepted). My husband had the palomilla steak dinner and he enjoyed this as well. We'll definitely be back to eat and also to get bakery goodies to go.

I'm Colombian myself and I'm really happy to have a Colombian bakery nearby, they have the best pandebonos and buñuelos they literally taste like if I was buying them from a bakery in Colombia which I loveee. The coffee is delicious and the food is great. I would recommend for anyone looking for authentic Colombian food.

We knew we were in for a treat from the moment we stepped in.The food? Oh, where do I even begin? Exceptional doesn't even begin to cover it! I opted for the delicious "FRESH" salad followed by the Palomilla steak, rice, and sweet plantains - a symphony of flavors that left my taste buds singing with joy. And let's not forget those sweet plantains - they were like little bites of happiness! Every dish was simply scrumptious, leaving me with a full heart and an empty plate, as you can see in the picture.Despite the bustling atmosphere after we arrived, the staff kept the energy alive with hopping music and impeccable service. The aroma wafting from the kitchen and nearby tables was nothing short of intoxicating, promising the delicious delights that awaited us.And let's talk about the chimichurri sauce I requested - delish doesn't even begin to describe it! It added an extra layer of flavor to my already amazing meal, and now I don't think I'll ever enjoy steak without it again.Of course, great food is best enjoyed with even greater company, and I couldn't have asked for better than my sister. We both indulged in similar dishes, with her opting for beans instead and let me tell you, there wasn't a single disappointed taste bud between us!So, if you're looking for a culinary adventure that'll leave you grinning from ear to ear, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Parva Colombian and Bakery. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you later!

Wow! The food and service were amazing. I arrived in Deland to visit friends and they suggested Parva. We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday evening and they weren't very busy. We enjoyed every dish we ordered and even picked up desserts for later that night. The servings were huge, everything was extremely fresh. Our waitress was so informative and helped me with my selections. Food came out hot and flavorful. We ordered a carafe of the sangria and is was delicious and definitely not weak. Thankfully we weren't driving .Highly recommended!!

This is a great new restaurant, I stopped in for lunch and although the parking lot was mostly filled I was able to get seated without a wait this restaurant has plenty of dining areas including a bar. The atmosphere is festive and I found the entire staff I interacted with to be so friendly and welcoming. My server today was Gabriela she was very attentive with impeccable timing.I ordered the Cubano Sandwich and fries and when I asked what the soup of the day was thinking I'd try a cup to start she told me a cup is always complimentary (who does that these days) my drink and soup arrived within a minute or two followed by my sandwich making this a great sit down lunch restaurant you can eat here and get back to work on time.This food was so good and perfectly executed and of such a high quality - the shredded chicken soup offered today was definitely homemade and had been simmering for hours it was so silky and complex with plenty of fresh shredded chicken. My Cubano Sandwich was served hot and fresh, the bread was thin and crusty allowing the main ingredients to be the main focus as it should be the pulled pork and ham ratios were perfect as were the condiments this was one of the best examples of this sandwich I've had in a long time.The prices were reasonable and a great value, I'd say this sandwich was large enough to share which would allow you to maybe sample a few of the delicious looking desserts offered in the bakery, whether you choose to enjoy it here or takeout - I'll definitely return...

I had an amazing lunch here recently. Very authentic feel. I am not Colombian so I am not an expert but this place felt foreign and exotic in all of the right ways. I had Lomo Saltado. I think that is Peruvian but either way it was excellent. Steak was so tender and all of the sauces I tried were packed with flavor. I also got a spicy Margarita and it was perfect. Balanced and fresh with just enough heat. When I left I took home some pastries and they were also incredible. This place is great. I am a Bakechop guy but this may be my new favorite restaurant in Deland.

Decided to try it as we have not been there before. We've been going to Deland for visiting my wife's parents for 30 years. This is a new spot for us, however. Anna was our server who ended up being the manager. The service was spectacular. She recommended the large spicy margarita on the rocks which had just enough kick. The small Mango margarita was also outstanding. We ended up getting the. Cachapa Queso de Mano as an appetizer. The sweet cornbread along with the cheese was an excellent mixture. We also had the Caribbean salmon, Bandeja Paisa, and Bandeja Paisa. everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I had a sample of each one and they were all excellent. I highly recommend this place. In addition, the inside of the restaurant was tastefully decorated, and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. You have to try this place if you like Colombian food or meat in general. We also had their cappuccino and bread, pudding, both of which were outstanding.

This place checked out. I had the trio rice bowl, side of green hot sauce. It was fire! Finished the meal with a juice, passion fruit (water mix) & guava puff pastry. Drink wasn't too sweet, & I prefer that. The pastry was delicious. All in all, I'd def be back! Vibe check passes--cool decor. Comfortable booth seat. Come check it out!

Food is great, service is great. Our waitress I believe her name was Anna was amazing. Been here twice so far and each time it gets better. Might see if the waitress is single.
