If you're craving authentic Puerto Rican food in Orlando, Pal Campo in Dr. Phillips is the place to go. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant décor and warm atmosphere make you feel right at home. The food is incredible--don't miss the mofongo or the chuletas can-can, both packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Their arroz con gandules and pastelón are equally delicious, and the flan de queso is the perfect way to end your meal. The staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair for the quality. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Pal Campo offers a true taste of Puerto Rico that'll keep you coming back.

If you have never tried Puerto Rican food, this is the best place to start.Just came in for the soft opening of the Dr. Phillip's location and was very satisfied with everything. From the moment you walk in, you will feel transported to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, they have a majestic tree giving color and ambiance to the restaurant. You will also see colonial architecture and a huge screen from wall to wall displaying some of the beauty from the island. The food was 100/10, everything came hot and fresh in a timely manner. We ordered the mofongo with garlic shrimp. And the steak with onions. Both were fantastic. Please do not leave this place without trying the arroz Manposteado, this is the best one I have tried in US and Puerto Rico. Our server was Daimar, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and was attentive throughout our visit. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu and enjoy it with friends and family.

New location in Dr. Phillips has a very simple but beautiful indoor decoration. I loved the big tv that takes the entire wall showing images from Puerto Rico, like El Viejo San Juan, the beautiful beaches, places, etc. I also loved the indoor tree spreading its branches along the ceiling, a really nice touch. I found it funny and spooky at the same time the man standing at the balcony, made of a cardboard frame I would say, not sure, but it was really funny cause from far away looks like a real person. The customer service was really good. But what really disappointed me was the food. I ordered the "malanga and yautia taro cream soup" and it was nothing like the one from the location on 535, LBV. This soup was not creamy at all, nor had a smooth texture, it had chunky pieces and it had a super thick texture plus didn't tasted as good without taro. The "bacalaitos", codfish fritters, I found them a little bit overcooked, too crispy, since they are thin, but they tasted good. At the end, I'm glad they took off from my check the soup.

Server was lovely, she explained she was learning English and asked us to be patient. Her English is so much better than my Spanish. She was attentive. Ambiance is nice. The restaurant is a lot larger than I expected. Food was fine, the rice was undercooked in parts. Fried chicken was a bit dry. We had three sodas and asked for a refill on two. The glasses are small. We got charged for 5 sodas - $25. When I asked the server she said it was correct, that each glass is separate. Well that's very disappointing. It was Coke Zero from the soda fountain. We are not talking juice or cans of soda. It was fountain drinks. Honestly, I'll stick with Pio Pio down the street.

The service is horrible mainly because the restaurant is understaffed. My order took longer than 40 mins to show up so I kindly excused myself to the managers and left.Try the Orlando, Buena Vista location for better service.Food: No food to speak about this time.Ambiance: Nice. Avoid the bar and get a table.

Today, 2/16/25. Food was salty, not properly cooked as they used to. The mamposteao rice was plain, no sweet plantain, over colored and cold. The fried chicken was extremely salty and the tostones de pana (breadfruit) were burnt. I returned them and the new order was brought to the table after we were done with the meal and came overcooked/burnt. No apologies, or anything to compensate for the extreme long wait, the lack of attention and cold food. It's a pretty new place, however the service is not up to par and the food is not as their main location in Orlando. To the owner please keep an eye on your locations, this is not how Puertorican's serve their delicious food. Apparently there's no love on the meals being served and there's no supervision. It's a shame and it doesn't look good for our PR community.

Good food, good atmosphere, however I won't be ordering any drinks next time, waste of money, stick with a Medalla or any other beer, good customer service.

Just another restaurant that dismisses their customers concerns by ignoring them. We visited this location on a week night that BARELY had any customers. Yet it took us two ours to get our food and to finally get a check. To make matters worse, the service was not anywhere near worthy of getting a tip (even tho I planned to) but we were forced to pay a 20% tip because we were "six people". The 6 people consisted of 3 children that were under 10 years old and only 5 people ordered food to eat. When I spoke with the manager, all he had was excuses and wanted me to come back knowing that we lived over an hour away. I told him I was still dissatisfied so he promised to call me back with a partial refund. He didn't! When I called back, no one would answer. So I tried calling a different location and they told me they would relay the message and have him call me. He didn't. This is the perfect example of the lack of customer service this restaurant provides. Very unprofessional and careless.

Spoiled ammonia taste lobster and seafood may be served in any restaurant, proceed accordingly with the situation is what set apart the best from the other. The way Pal Campo address this situation position the new Dr. Phillips restaurant at the bottom, Specially If they are aiming the top restaurant mile clientele with their new location. Upon our arrival, already at the table the waitress kindly asked us if it was our first time, to which we responded yes, my 12-year-old son and my wife were getting ready to have dinner at the new restaurant. I ordered garlic snapper filet while them going to share the lobster surf and turf, my wife said that food are not hot when food is served but we were hungry to complaint. In fact even when the waitress disappeared for long time when showed up she always asked If everything is good. I love seafood specially lobster reason because I ask them a piece after my byte the ammonia sour flavor went tru my noose I immediately asked them to not continuing eating. I called the waitress to explain the situation to which she abruptly argued that she will talk with the manager but she thinks is nothing to do about it because we answer to her several times that everything was good. After long wait she came to said that we are finishing our meals (thank god they haven't the lobster at least) and they will do a credit discount as courtesy at that point, at that point I noticed that she is acting as we were pursuing a free dinner or something like that when she may be thinking that we may need coffee or something sweat to reset the palate that never was offer as continuation of our dinner. Then she showed up with the bill with a $7 discount that I asked to remove. After my request finally the manager decided to make her triumphant appearance with No introduction she said the waitress said that you didn't like the lobster immediately I interrupted her asking We just want you to delete the $7 credit to pay and leave we are not interested in further explanations. For future customers there is plenty offer in the area for Latin food from seasoned casual restaurateur to fine dinning that we can count Sofrito, Da Silva, Rocco's Taco, Pio Pio, Boca, among others in the casual Latin offer, while Chima, Eddie's V, Ocean Prime, The H and Chatham among others fine dinning that represent an outstanding option that may served one spoiled food but they will follow the protocol to ensure that you are safe and leave with a better experience feeling. Suggestion to Pal Campo's management when spoiled food is served:1- ENSURE EVERYONE ARE SAFE CALL 911 IF NEEDED.2- Make the customer feel like you care about their safety. Even If you don't (waitress & manager)3- Help to reset palate.4- Offer meal replacement specially when food is in the 50%, They may still hungry (LOL).5- Treat children like children, I meant with the respect they deserve. (No one asked him how is he feeling)6- Find out why food is spoiled. (One hint: our lobster was served with no shell is that your regular procedure? if is it, change your menu shell picture)7- Report the situation to authorities.
