P & D Soulfood Kitchen

I love this place. They always have a nice array of Soul Food waiting for you to just come and enjoy.Today was really crowded. I came after work. I had to wait a little while to get served, but it was worth the wait.

I started my search for soul food in this town years ago and thank god there's so many spots. P&D has become a regular go-to for me with good reason. The food is on point. One of the best things is that the majority of the food is ready and waiting when you enter. You'll have to wait for fried options as it's done when you order but it's always worth the wait. Service is always friendly of course. They have small and large plates and you get rice or dressing with every platter so you're getting bang for your buck. Five stars every time.

This place is one of Orlando's best for takeout Soul Food. Im a sides kinda girl so I typically go for a veggie plate; a selection of three sides with rice or dressing and corn muffin. When I find a side I dislike I'll update the review.

As I'm on my quest for who got the best fried chicken in Florida ... I Ordered 2 orders of 3pc fried chicken wings and a side of Mac n Cheese for take out. This place is strictly for pick up n go.The full wings were fried good, but I expected a lil more flavor on the wings. I think what would bring this out a little more is some light seasoning on top of the wings once they come out the oil to drain.The Mac n cheese was ok. It didn't have as much flavor as expected. Which can be easily resolved with some more salt n pepper. It did have a great amount of cheese as you can see from the pic. I'm not sure what type of cheese was used but sharp cheddar cheese may help with adding some of the saltiness which limits having to add regular salt.I'm sure they have a lot of other great options on the menu. But today was strictly about fried chicken and the go to side that go hand n hand with fried chicken.

I attended a convention in Orlando and a member of my party found a review of P&D Soulfood Kitchen. This was a ride worth taking! The food was delicious, portion sizes generous, and the service was quick! My party was visiting from North Carolina, and these dishes felt like home. The owner even took time to check on us with humor and in fellowship.

This is a great place to get some high quality soul food. The food is always top notch. The dressing is the only thing that I would stay away from. But the short ribs are , pan seared tilapia too good, the rutabagas like your grandma made em. Seriously good food and great customer service I have never had a bad experience here. Also ask for the pepper sauce.

The service was fast, and straight to the point. Menu was clear and the prices are great especially the dinner special. A lot of food and the food has flavor and is worth any wait. Coming back as soon as I can for dinner. The place is small but it didn't bother us.

This food was soooo good! That Mac and cheese, the well seasoned shrimps, and the pork chops were so good!!! My goodness this was some true southern soul food!!!

Ordered the fried catfish sandwich, order said it came with fries. NO FRIES delivered. Then it was like catfish nuggets and was fried so hard it was dried out and you couldnt even chew it or eat it. Was able to eat about 2 pieces. The rest had to go in the trash.
