Osteen Diner

There are people who eat to live; my husband and I live to eat! From breakfast to dinner and in between. We enjoy trying new restaurants and food. We discovered this cozy and very homey diner on our way to our daughter's home in New Smyrna Beach The Osteen Diner has much to offer. Our breakfast delicious and our server, Madison was as sweet as she could be The atmosphere was down home country. They have plenty of parking. They have tables and booths. We highly recommend this gem of a country diner.

Saturday morning and we arrived with friends who had been here before. The place was full and had several large groups too. Our server was kind, friendly and efficient. She got our drink order and quickly returned to take our order. DH ordered the country eggs Benedict and I ordered the 2 egg plate with hash browns. The food came out quickly and my food was good. DH was expecting a stronger sausage flavor from the sausage in the gravy for his breakfast. It seemed bland to him. Other than that, it was good. Everyone else liked their food. Our server was juggling several large tables. She checked in with us and she was good but didn't come back to give us refills on our sodas. It might have been an off day so we're planning to give them another chance. They're open until 2 so we'll try something else on the menu. They have a lot of choices for breakfast and lunch.

Some of the worst food I've had and it's depressing because I was so looking forward to trying this place cause their parking lot is always fairly crowded. The service was alright, she did the minimum Wait staff is trained to do; take the drink order, take the food order, check in half way, check in on parties done eating when table mates are still eating. Can't complain, she did her job. The food was delivered WAY TO QUICK!!! There is no way anything was fresh cooked besides my eggs. The bacon was limp, fatty and covered in grease, my fingers literally glistened with grease. The hotcakes were so dense that syrup didn't soak in like it normally does and the syrup was also super thick. The orange juice was absolutely from concentrate and tasted gross. My partner got the chicken and waffles with a sweet tea. There was nothing sweet about the tea, I could only taste the bitter of it. The chicken breading was overly salty and dry but the chicken was moist. The waffle was dense and had no crisp to it. The powdered sugar was actually in clumpy lil rocks. My partner said it was like eating a school breakfast. I believe the only reason this place stays open with a well packed parking lot is they're the only show in Osteen.The service as trained and the chicken being moist are the only reasons I'm leaving a 2; instead of a 1.

A group of us normally visit Osteen Diner on weekends for breakfast. This place is usually occupied by local folk country folk. For me there are other places I prefer more but today wasn't my pick.The service and prices are good at the Osteen Diner. There is always a crowd but we always get a table without waiting.Today I had two eggs, grits and toast with coffee for around $9.50. Everything tasted good and we had great service.Outside there is a pen with a few head of cattle children can feed. Even though I am an elderly guy I enjoy visiting the animals.We will definitely return.

The place was packed, as always. Great food, good service! You can't go wrong with a southern breakfast. Yum!!

Just your typical country diner. I came here for breakfast and ordered a chili cheese omelet - delicious. They are very generous with their portion sizes. Even though the omelet was huge, they still serve it with 2 sides. The waitress made sure my coffee cup was always full. Very reasonable prices, speedy service, and friendly staff. 4 stars.

The food was okay. Heavy southern style I like to eat less greasy breakfast option. Service was great and quick. Nice atomphosere

Every time I have gone in the Restaurant is clean, Service is Great and the food is exceptional.

This is a great place to get great food at very reasonable prices. Nothing fancy. Great selection of desserts (cakes, pies, ice cream). Only open for breakfast and lunch. The servers are very nice

The food was horrible. The chicken tenders were the same frozen ones that you buy at Walmart.The waffles were the small packaged ones you get at Costco in a huge bag... difference is here they just put it on a plate and charge you 500% more (literally, $2 versus the almost $13 on their menu).The place was also not clean. Sitting on my chair I stepped on some blueberry muffins next to my chair. The table was sticky, and the silverware was just rundown and not cleaned well. Never coming again.
