Excellent sushi in an Orlando theme park hotel. Yes, that is my story and I'm sticking with it. We were staying at the Royal Pacific and being especially tired one night we decided to just have dinner on property rather than journey to City Walk.We stumbled upon the Orchid Lounge, which looked lovely (think high ceilings, glass chandeliers, and lots of white) but gave more swanky hotel bar than dinner spot. I shrugged and rolled with it happy enough that my journey to our room would require only an elevator ride but was skeptical as to how this would turn out. So we ordered safe and small - the sashimi salad appetizer to split and some miso soup. Miso soup was small but full of umami. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and like butter. We wound up coming back two more times during our visit, each time ordering the sashimi salad and sampling a few other offerings from the menu. Other items were fine but the sashimi, in whatever form you wind up ordering it, is the star here. Everything was reasonably priced and fresh. Definitely a hidden gem.

Came for some late night sushi as we're staying at Royal Pacific for the week. Ample bar seating allowed our party of 3 to walk right up, with food and drink menus scattered throughout. The drink menu had some fun cocktails ranging around $16 and a collection of Japanese craft beers as well. Only two of us were hungry so we got one Chicken Tempura Roll and one Philadelphia Roll. The quality of both were fresh and delicious (honestly might have been one of my Philly Rolls to date). You can charge back to the room or pay on your own, service was polite and prompt. We're already talking about going back tomorrow night!

Located inside the beautiful Royal Pacific property, reservations are highly recommended. I was looking forward to the food here but was quite disappointed. Sushi was dry, i have had better sushi from a grocery store. The sushi we ordered was the cooked kind, maybe that was the mistake? I filled up on the edamame.

Located inside the very nice lobby of the Lowes Royal Pacific Resort, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air from the heavy theme park food at Universal. Coming from Southern California where I truly believe we have for sure some of the best sushi in the USA, normally when I travel outside of California I don't get sushi because it can be hit or miss but I was really craving something light and fresh and couldn't stomach more theme park food so we decided to eat here and I was pleasantly surprised! The sushi would be 3.5 or 4 stars in California but for Florida I give it 5 stars! Especially because the service was outstanding! 5 stars for sure! Our server was Shellonda and she was fantastic!I highly recommend the:-tropical roll (our favorite - the mango really added to the flavor!)-cilantro roll (I love cilantro in maki!)-sashimi appetizer (good quality fish)-rainbow roll (standard for my kids to share)We had such a great experience here that we actually came back here for dinner the very next day! So we ate here 2 days in a row it was that good!

A pleasant surprise located inside the Royal Pacific hotel at Universal Orlando. You will need to love Sushi to truly enjoy all the food here, as their menu is extremely limited outside of that. We sat at the bar, and the atmosphere was truly nice. I think they pump in some air freshener type smell in the lobby of the hotel, and it is a very pleasant aroma that permeates the entire place. My wife and I ordered a few cocktails, and all were mixed well. I would say that the smoked bourbon drink was a slight bit of a letdown, as they didn't truly smoke it in a box as I have seen in other places, but it still tasted great, if a bit on the pricy side. They did well at noticing little things, like my wife liking the cherry in her drink, and then the next time putting an extra cherry in her drink. The edamame was steamed well and salted nicely, and every piece of sushi we had was good. I like how they prepare most sushi dishes right there in front of you (provided you are sitting at the bar). If you are staying at the hotel, this place is one I would make a point to eat at.

Almost all of the beers on tap were out, out of the cocktail I originally wanted. Service was fine, nothing overly positive or negative. The crab rangoon roll didn't really have any flavor. Dynamite roll was okay. The restaurants large, with an open concept, a large tv and lounge style seating and a full service bar. I'm not sure I'd come back here however, tried it because I was a guest of the hotel.

Orchid Court is a surprise in the lobby of the Royal Pacific hotel. If you're an Orlando local, definitely try this hidden spot. The sushi is very fresh and comes in large portions, which was a surprise to me, given the location. Also, the restaurant does parking validation, so you can go and not pay the outrageous parking fee associated with the hotel. We shared one of the large boats for our table and it was so large we couldn't finish the whole thing. The miso soup was solid, although I didn't love the dressing on the salad, it still hit the spot for a fresh-healthy option before we devoured the sushi. We made a reservation before we went, but I'm not sure if that's generally needed as it wasn't super busy. I'm guessing if you're going during the weekend or peak season it would be a win.

Being a non-Floridian, I'm always stoked to get good sushi in Florida! When I was checking-in they told me they'd heard this was some of the best sushi in all of Orlando. I'd believe it! It's so incredibly fresh and well cut. I had it multiple nights in a row. For an individual serving, the sashimi appetizer is so good - it's definitely an appetizer serving size so if you need more I'd recommend also ordering some rolls or nigiri. On another night, a friend and I split the sashimi and sushi combo - it has a great selection of nigiri as well! The two rolls included the California roll and tuna roll. Get it with a side of spicy Mayo and you're set! Service is amazing - they're all so nice and give great recommendations. If you want to try something different (but extremely yummy), try the plum wine! Such a beautiful space, well-lit, and enjoyable to be in.

During our Summer 2022 road trip from SoCal to Key West, we enjoyed three awesome days at Universal Orlando. Our stay at the Loewe's Royal Pacific was very pleasant, and fodder for another review; this one is specifically for the Orchid Court Lounge and Sushi Bar.On the second night of our trip, the plan was to enjoy an early dinner together, then head back to the park until closing time. The kids were craving sushi, but our afternoon inquiry at guest services/concierge desk revealed no available reservations at any of the CityWalk or in-park restaurants. The young lady behind the counter suggested we try the restaurant in the hotel. I asked if we could make a reservation, and she said we would not need one. I then asked if we could make one anyway, and she talked me out of it somehow, despite my assertion that I would feel better if we had one. Just show up, and it'll be fine. In short, it was not fine. When we approached the front desk, the young man immediately asked us if we had a reservation. I explained no and our situation. He gave me that "I work at a hotel, and I've been trained to nod and demonstrate empathy, but really I don't care, and there's nothing I could do about it even if I did" headshake thing. Pretty damn frustrating, not gonna lie. arguably, one of the only downers of our trip here. After a substantial weight, we got a table about an hour and 15 minutes later. Recognizing that the clock was ticking on return to the park, we quickly ordered a round of drinks for everyone, and ordered the giant sushi boat thing. sure, it would probably take a while to make all that, but no longer than ordering a bunch of small plates, and in the long run, probably save me a couple hundred bucks anyway the way my kids eat raw fish and rice. Our service was impeccable and attentive. Ice teas and sodas never ran dry, always Johnny on the spot with an extra napkin or a replacement for a dropped chopstick. Nice kid. When the food arrived, the family made short work of it. I hardly managed to snap a picture before it was half gone. But everyone was satisfied, the shared entrée was affordable for a unique resort hotel restaurant sushi bar/lounge experience, and we even had time afterwards to make a quick run for it towards Hagrid's. heck, we even got on the ride, even though the park closed while we were in line.Certainly, our family will look forward to future trips to Universal Orlando, and based on the experience here, we would even enjoy another meal here together as a family. But live in learn, and note well: even if they tell you you don't need a reservation, probably best to insist on one... Or you'll have plenty of time to sit around thinking about how you should have.

Excellent sake selection. Fresh and beautifully presented sushi. I did think the sushi menu had too much kani (imitation crab) and cream cheese. The ube cake was so-so, but I'm not a big fan of white chocolate. Service was okay. No real ambiance to speak of. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but it was a solid dinner option.
