As you can tell, we're frequent visitors to On The Border. It's usually easy to get into even on weekend evenings.But we like ordering online and bringing it home. We usually order enough to have leftovers.Our favorites are the Monterey Ranch Chicken Fajitas, refried beans, and anything with Grilled Shrimp. Yes, the chips can be kinda salty. Perhaps ask for unsalted and add salt to your taste. And we really like their salsa.Pretty good flour tortillas and we're pretty picky.I noticed somebody complaining about an $11 item. Unfortunately, that's a low price for just about anything these days. Adjust your expectations and order wisely. I can't make any promises, but we've been pretty happy with On The Border for several years.

Myself and three friends went on Tuesday February 11th for dinner. When we sat down, everything was good it took us a while to order. The waitress didn't seem thrilled with us because we took so long . The waitress was nice, but she has very flat affect. She is a very quiet person. She needs more of a bubbly personality to be in service. Our food came out. It was good. It was four different people and four different checks and that's where everything became a disaster. Everybody had everybody else's food on their receipt I also asked for the rewards and how to add rewards to my account and waitresses answers I don't know. Let me ask my manager. The restaurant seem very empty and very slow. As we sat and ate, we watched numerous people come in and had to wait many minutes to be seated. It appears this restaurant needs organization and more staff. I also noticed kitchen staff wearing headphones, to me that might be a hazard they can't hear people and things. Good tasting food, but I don't know if I would recommend this restaurant based on the service situation.

We have given this location several tries, unfortunately today will be the last. For as non-busy as this location is, the service is slow and never with a smile. The empty restaurant should have been a clue, but we were hopeful. Today's waitress was terrible. Never checked on us and our drinks nor chips/salsa were never refilled. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and soggy, yet she never returned to see if we were happy. There were several employees that seemed to just be hanging out and not doing anything productive. Very frustrating as we are loyal OTB customers, but this particular one needs to just shut down. It consistently felt as though we were a bother when we arrived.

On the border is a Mexican establishment located in Kissimmee Florida just a few miles outside the Disney parks. We were in town with my family of 7 and my parents and nephews and niece party of 6. So we needed a quick and nice place to easily sit a party of 13. Mexican sounded good. This place was close and wasn't too busy so In we entered. Service here was really quick and attentive. They did bring our my fathers meal a few minutes after everyone else's and they offered to comp it without him even complaining. The complementary chips and salsa was a bit different. They have huge chips almost resembling full hard shell tacos and they salsa was very spicy. But it did have a good flavor. Being such a large party we did sample the menu pretty well. From kids meals to quesadillas to enchiladas, tacos and steak chimichangas. My dad said the steak chimichanga was the best he had ever had and raves about it. I personally went with a Create Your Own Combo - Pick 4 and got a taco and 3 enchiladas. It also came with a bed of rice and beans. good and flavorful overall. The enchilada were slightly over cooked but still a solid meal. Everyone else appeared to like to love their meals so no major complaints. Overall we had a nice and quick dinner that easily accommodated our large party.

This restaurant was actually pretty good for what I expected. We order the main appetizer simpler that has a little bit of everything and he was really good. we also order the seasonal frozen patriotic drink, it was great too, we solicited it because it was huge! The server was very nice and brought everything in time, I really don't have a complaint with the service. The restaurant itself was not that busy maybe because we went on a weekday, but the atmosphere felt just right. I will go here again for sure, maybe when I have a Mexican craving or just to get some nachos or appetizers. Great location, plenty of parking and no wait.

The Food was Amazing! They were short staff when my Partner and I arrived, so we sat at the bar. I cannot remember the name of the person who worked the bar, but when I say he was so attentive. On The Border is a great restaurant if your expecting decent food. The staff at this restaurant is extremely kind and welcoming. Furthermore the service here is decent. The service is slow as it took 10 minutes to bring out a blueberry kids slushee. In the restaurant the ambiance is not so great. This should be fixed. Adding on, the food wasn't great. The only meal that looked decent was my kids nachos which still looked like dog food. If you areJust expecting some decent food go to this restaurant.

We ordered through DoorDash from here and everything was fresh and hot. The chips were kinda stale like they were fried in old oil but everything else was great. Really enjoyed the honey chipotle shrimp tacos!

I am always amazed by restaurant managers and servers that are clueless to the lack of quality in the food that leaves their kitchen. My family of 4 were staying in Margaritaville and went to On The Border for lunch. It's a beautiful day on Friday afternoon and the place only had a few diners. First clue. The wait person bought out a bowl of chips. I ate one and then tested one from an another area of the bowl. The chips had been deep fried in old oil. When was the last time their oil had been replaced? I told the waitress and she said she would take them away. She did not say 'I'm so sorry, let me bring it to the kitchen's attention'. I ordered the Select 2 items from the lunch menu which were a tossed salad with Lime Vinaigrette dressing and a chicken enchilada. The salad mix was out of a bag and had many brown, discolored pieces. WHO is working in the kitchen? Any 1/2 brained cook and wait staff should know you don't serve brown lettuce. My chicken tinga benchilada was very tiny. A dab of green salsa on the top of it. My husbands chili relleno looked fine on the inside in regards to the pepper and cheese but it had tasteless breading on the outside and had been put in the deep fryer. The refried beans were very dry and so was the rice. Our lunches were $11.49 each and they just were not good. My grandson had the kids chicken fajita nachos and the chicken on those was on the funky side too. I'm not writing this to be mean but to share that if OtB wants to stay in business someone with brains and taste-buds needs to be running the show. I did like the Lime Vinaigrette salad dressing. My granddaughters corn dog was extremely brown from the deep fryer. Areas of it bordered on black. She said she liked it but she has 4 year old tastebuds.
