A phenomenal restaurant for Winter Park that will surely elevate the local food scene. We opted for the entry-level "Excursion" menu, and it was plenty of food at a fair value considering the quality and service. The 3 menu types (excursion, jaunt and journey) allude to the format: traveling from room to room. In the first room, 8 diners sit at a bar and 8 in lounge chairs. I refused a welcome beverage because the cheapest glass of bubbles on the menu was $40, but apparently it's complementary (this could have been more clearly communicated - who doesn't love a free drink). The 4 bites, each served as a separate course, are flavor-packed and gram-for-gram the best part of the meal. Next we moved to the beautiful chef's counter for mains, the highlight of which was the finale of wagyu. The dish with the most presentation was the rice with king crab, and while we enjoyed the chef interaction and performance of truffle shaving, the truffles themselves didn't enhance the dish (described as winter truffles, but less flavorful than summer truffles). My least favorite savory dish was the kanpachi with tiny soba noodles - just not as enjoyable as the other 3. Finally we moved to a clubby dessert room where a shaved ice Kakigori was prepared - voluminous but light and a good palette cleanser. We then received a presentation box filed with jellies, sweets and chocolates that were all fantastic and demonstrated high skill, much of which was prepared for us to take away (you won't leave hungry, even on the "entry level" tasting meal). The experience ends with a nice take away gift of mint matcha, and also the check, which comes with the somewhat confusing statement that the included 22% gratuity (which is fine) goes to the culinary team (ok?) and anything additional is shared with the service team (wha?). I do understand and appreciate built-in gratuity, but the statement implying that the service team isn't included is a little confusing. Overall, an amazing experience I hope to repeat. Note: corkage fee is a jaw-dropping $100, so not encouraged. The fee was previously waived on Wednesdays, but apparently no longer. Would love to see an off-night or off-season promo like that return.

There is "hospitality", then there is fine dinning and elevation, and then there is OMO by Jont. I was fortunate enough to visit the establishment in two different occasions, and may I say that each time, the team at OMO was able to go above and beyond, to exceed my expectation times 10. Coming from a luxury goods' background, I'm picky in my own ways. I look for quality, details, and execution. OMO by Jont is truly the finest chef's tasting menu experience you could ask for in Orlando metro. Tracy, who runs the show of front of the house is absolutely a ray of sunshine. And Juan who runs the chefs table in the back is an artist of fine dining hospitality. The team at OMO is like a beautiful orchestra who plays the symphony daily. I really don't have much more to say, except the fact that YOU NEED TO CHECK IT OUT. And you're welcome for the recommendation.

This was my first experience eating at a 2 star Michelin restaurant in the U.S. and it didn't disappoint. One thing I loved about this experience though, even though the food and service were top notch it wasn't super pretentious and still felt very comfortable! We chose "The Journey" which was the mid tier menu. I loved that the meal was transitional, with appetizers in one space, main courses in another, and desserts in another. It was fun moving around and experiencing the different atmospheres.Out of the snacks, my favorite was a wagyu croustade which also had Korean seaweed on top... super flavorful and delicious. When it came to the entree dishes the chawanmushi stole the show... it was a buttery eggy custard with uni. This was so warm and comforting and has been my favorite uni preparation I have had! The rice dish with king crab and fresh truffle was also phenomenal. The dessert courses were also super fun; the first was a citrus bomb that burst in your mouth. The show stealer here was the kakigori, which is a shaved ice dish with hazelnut and chocolate. It was incredible. And of course the magic box at the end with little tasters was fabulous; although at that point we had to take most to go as we were pretty full! This was an incredible experience and definitely was worth it!

Two stars based simply on the food. I was generally underwhelmed. For the price, pomp, and circumstance, the food did not measure up. It was lacking flavor and uniqueness. I came for the food and I left disappointed It REALLY pains me to leave a review like this, especially because the team there seems really nice, but I only wish I had been warned by someone else (so here I am hoping I can do that for someone else). Maybe the other reviewers before me had a different menu; otherwise, I don't get it. I did The Journey experience (which is the second tier out of 3) and added the caviar experience. No matter how good the service or ambience may be, if the food isn't special, it just doesn't make up for it. Truly, if you are charging me an arm and a leg, I should be thoroughly impressed and happy. I also think they need more comfortable seating for the main dining space. The seats were a bit narrow and the back of the chair was digging into my back. I also think they need a better place for patrons to store their purses because hanging multiple purses from one hook under the bar table, is very uncomfortable because it cuts into the leg space. I also found it strange that when we paid the bill, we were told that the automatically included 22% service fee went to the chefs only and any additional tip left would be for the front of the house. It's a little uncomfortable because I have not had to deal with that before and I am not sure of the expectations or norms when it comes to that. It almost feels like I'm expected to tip twice. This place has a lot of potential, but I have to be honest at this point, I would not return.

This was one of the most expensive meals we've had so far. But all I can say is: wow! This experience was worth every penny! The service was absolutely fantastic. The ambiance was excellent in detail even down to the chopsticks and flatware! We liked that you don't just stay in one room-- you have the welcome drink and some apps in the first room. Then they bring you back to the main dining area for the next hour. Then you finish up in the dessert parlor with some incredible desserts. All behind a quaint and unassuming shop sign on a side street of Park Ave.The most important thing in a place like this is the food... and they absolutely delivered in that front! We've been to many chef's table experiences, and this may be the best one we've done in the U.S.! The food was truly an experience like no other we've tried. Usually with these experiences there are a few dishes that fall flat mixed in with some really good ones, but at Ômo the dishes were all fantastic, from the lamb pastrami, to the king crab nanatsuboshi rice, to the Australian Wagyu filet!I realize that the price point is not accessible to all, but if you are willing and able to eat here, I would absolutely recommend it!

How fortunate we are to have this level of restaurant in Orlando now! There was a time when you had to go to New York, Chicago, LA, or, yes, Washington DC, where Omo's two-star Michelin parent is located, in order to have this type of dining experience. Now we have a wealth of fabulous omakase experiences in Orlando. But Omo isn't like the other omakases, because it isn't about sushi and sashimi, like Sorekara or Soseki. It's closer in concept to Camille, but with the added experience of moving from space to space as you dine. You begin in the lounge for a series of "snacks" featuring foie gras, wagyu, and caviar. Then you progress to dinner at an L-shaped counter that seats 16. Each course was a thoughtful and complex construction, meticulously assembled in front of us, and accompanied by a dazzling assortment of dishes, cutlery and yes, one set of chopsticks. Finally a flurry of sweet bites are served in the dessert room. The menu offers two levels of dining. We opted for the more elaborate version, The Jaunt. It's twenty or so courses included many pricey ingredients such as truffles, wagyu, and caviar. At about twice the price, it was an indulgence, but I don't know that the experience was otherwise significantly different for those who opted for the simpler menu. There were many stunning dishes, but the one that sticks in my memory was actually an intermezzo of peeled heirloom cherry tomatoes, wasabi, and verbena, served with basil sorbet!Service was as you would expect from the offspring of a two-star Michelin.Wine pairings are available, but we opted for a couple of bottles from the excellent wine list. There is a lot of competition in Orlando now, but I would say that as of this writing Omo is the city's most spectacular restaurant.

Amazed by the dinning experience at Omo. Loved the three different rooms throughout the food course. We started off in the lounge with bubbles and this is where we also decided what course we would be choosing. My husband and our friends all went for The Journey which was just the perfect amount of courses from beginning to end. It left us full and super satisfied.Starting with the apps in the lounge. We had four small bites here. The bites were all great. My favorite was between the bao bun and the croustade shima ají. Both were extremely flavorful. The bao was just super warm and comforting and the croustade was a refreshing savory bite filled with lots of texture and crunch. In the dinning room we ate five amazingly crafted courses. My favorite experience was picking out my own chopsticks for the scallop course. The entire kitchen and all the servers worked together to make the transition of each course so smooth. My favorite course dish in this room was the wagyu steak with wonton and a side of delicious bread. The meat was perfectly cooked. Refer to my photo. The wonton was burst with flavor from the broth. The bread was the perfect ending to scoop up the sauce the Wagyu was served on.The last room was the dessert room which had the dim relaxing ambiance. The dessert pieces were also so different and yet so good in their own way. The bomb was the most fun dessert. It burst in your mouth and was so refreshing. They recommend the bomb to cleanse your pallet. Since I love ice cream I leaned toward the Kaligori which was shaved ice with flavors of hazelnut and caramel. Absolutely light and sweet. The last dessert was a box of different chocolate and pastries which were all crafted so beautifully. The entire staff was very accommodating and had amazing energy. I enjoyed the music playlist of the restaurant, they even gave us a QR code to find it on Spotify. I related to the music as I grew up with these songs and enjoy early 2000s hip hop. Great addition to Orlando!

A 5 star experience all the way through! From the moment you arrive, you're treated like VIPs. Brought to a seating area and showered with Champagne and small bites, you feel like you're transported to another place. Every little dish is carefully crafted by a team of chefs. When taken into the main dining area, you immediately are stared with out of this world appetizers. Uni, Wagyu, truffle... every high end ingredient known to man. Dessert is another room as well and it's so comfy! A well needed reprieve after all the food. Still, the service here never lets up, and we are always treated like top priority. The chocolates are such a nice touch as well. And the ice cream! It's really shaved ice, but it's phenomenal and uses a one of a kind machine imported from Japan. Overall, it's a pricey dinner, but it's well worth it when you consider the experience you get. It really is more than just food here. It's a whole vibe. And it's truly unforgettable.

I took my girlfriend to Omo by Jont for her birthday, and it was an exceptional experience by Chef Ryan Ratino. I have been to Chef Ryan's Michelin-starred restaurants in DC, both Bresca and Jont, and his concept for this restaurant in regards to the food experience, service, and atmosphere was top tier, and wouldn't have expected any different. I love the fact that he continues to play hip hop music in all of his restaurants. When you first walk in, you are greeted, and seated immediately. Here you can make add-ons to the tasting experience such as the Japanese Crown Melon, which was $30. Afterwards, you begin your journey where you are provided 1 of 3 dining experiences starting with champagne and delicious snacks, then move over to the dining table for the second dining experience with amazing courses, and lastly, make your way to the pastry table for the final dining experience with exquisite desserts.Overall, the experience was one of a kind, and would definitely return as their menu does change! Highly recommend checking out any of Chef Ryan's restaurants, as you will not be disappointed.
