O'Shucks! Oyster Bar And Grill

Love The Food, Excellent Atmosphere and great service. The Grilled Shrimp are out of this world

I found this place here on Yelp while I was traveling and it was close to the highway so I decided to give it a try. The parking lot is dirt and the building itself is old and crummy looking, but we were both hungry and I was tired of driving so we headed for the door. The place was filled with blue collar working people being loud and having a good time. Beer was flowing. The menu was small and I was disappointed because with a name like OShucks I expected more seafood to be on the menu. It's bar food. Burgers and wings. They do have oysters on the half shell but we both opted for cheese burgers. The burgers were huge and we both enjoyed them. The onion rings were also beer battered and were very good. I wouldn't go out of my way to get back here, but I would eat here again if I was in the area. They also have an outdoor dining area if the weather is good.

We came here on Dec. 28, around 2:30pm. One of the staff members had to leave early, leaving the other front of the house person to both tend to a full bar (about 14 seats) as well as wait on the half dozen or so inside tables. That women absolutely did her best and we are not mad about any of that. The atmosphere is small cinderblock local bar and seafood with a TV showing last week's NFL game. Many at the bar appeared to be acquainted with each other. -Fried Oyster Po Boy: Protein was perfect. Bread was very good. Tomatoes and shredded lettuce were standard. Fries were 'double breaded', which is not my jam. Onion rings were on the menu but not available due to 'the owner is concerned about the friers'. All in all, exactly what we expected going in and met with many layers of validation. Also, decent amount of parking in the white sand/dirt lot.

If you're looking for a quiet romantic spot, I wouldn't recommend O'Shucks however, if you want a cold beer great oysters/seafood this would be the spot.

After hearing much hype, a neighbor took us to this place. On a Friday night, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Once inside, we could only converse by yelling. Our server was attentive. The prices were affordable. My Wife's pulled pork sandwich came out as a cold, sloppy blob. She couldn't eat it. The pieces she did try were mushy. A re-make was no better. She thinks the pork was cooked hours ago. My fish sandwich lacked enough fish. It was mostly fried batter. I longed for a good, thick piece of whitefish to bite into. No such luck. After hearing so much about this place, we left disappointed. Won't be back.

Right off the bat, green beans and carrot sticks were my choice of sides and they were just fine. We really enjoyed Our lunch here and the place filled up fast soon after our arrival around 1120 on a weekday.Do not be put off by the exterior go in and get some really nice seafood. We even saw are very nice waitress shucking Eyster's at the bar. That's a task I would not want to do. It looks kind of dangerous with the knife. My husband ordered the fried oyster plate and an ice water. He later was offered a one dollar draft beer which he accepted. It was cold, fresh and only a dollar. I eat a sample of his oysters, and they were very good and well seasoned . My grilled haddock Was grilled to perfection, and had such a light buttery taste it was very good.Our servers were all very pleasant and look happy to be there. We will definitely go back the next time. We are in the villages.

Super tight seating but delicious oysters!! Very Dive bar atmosphere. Wear shorts and Tshirt! Great fast service!

A true hole in the wall type place. The type of place you go visit after a round of golf or hanging out with some buddies. It's not classy, but it's nice enough that I would go there again. The oysters were fresh, the fries were awesome, and the tea was sweet.My kids enjoyed their meals as well. We had a group of 6 (4 adults), and we ate for right around $100, so that was fair for me.

2 stars because entrees were actually pretty good, but sides were average. If you're looking for oysters STAY AWAY FROM HERE! We had tons of oysters, not a SINGLE one was shucked. Service was BAD. Our server was in a rude, forgot an order and still tried to charge us for it. When asked to take it off the bill she blamed us for not "reminding" her.Don't waste your time, there are so many better seafood places.

I have to throw up now. The walls are taped together. The onion rings aren't even onion rings. This place shucks.
