Nipa Hut has been the most consistent of all Filipino restaurants we've tried in Orlando. This one is my favorite. My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years, starting at the old location that wasn't too far down the road. Parking may be tight but there's some space just down the strip. The front of the restaurant houses a tiny shop that sells Filipino merchandise and snacks. In addition, they also have a boba bar that serves your favorite Filipino drinks like taho, scramble, Milo scramble, and ube macapuno boba. The staff is super friendly and will explain the ingredients and flavors to those not familiar with Filipino food. Nipa Hut is a great place to explore a new food group or learn about the Filipino culture and cuisine. They have karaoke and live band sometimes too! Huge space for big family gatherings.

Absolutely a secret in disguise. Julie and her family serve authentic filipino food. The Ambiance is very cozy, a big restaurant for sure in such a tiny looking area!!! The service is amazing and they treat you so much like family. They suggest very good options and as a first time customer let's just say everything was described in detail and brought out fresh!so enjoyable. I will be returning!!!

Since moving to Central Florida, I've been on the hunt for authentic Filipino food. After a fun day at Hollywood Studios, I found this spot on Yelp, conveniently located just 5 miles away from the park. From the outside, it looked like a small place, but once inside, I was surprised by how spacious it was--definitely large enough to host a party. The atmosphere felt like a traditional Filipino family dinner table, which was very inviting. The wait staff were friendly, and coincidentally, one of them was from NJ, just like us.The food, however, was hit or miss. The lumpia was excellent--crispy and flavorful, even my picky kids enjoyed them, which is rare when it comes to Lumpiang Shanghai.Unfortunately, the kare-kare was a disappointment. The meat was tough, and the flavor was quite bland. It could've used a bit more peanut butter to elevate the taste. Although the sauce was thick, it seemed like it was due to cornstarch rather than a rich blend of ingredients. The Palabok was another letdown. It was dry, and the noodles stuck together. I even showed it to the waiter, who agreed that it was very dry. I was hoping he'd take the initiative to either replace it or remove it from our bill, but that didn't happen. On a positive note, the Pancit Bihon was good--my kids liked it enough that we took the leftovers home. The pork sinigang was decent. The broth had a nice sour consistency, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. However, the pork itself was also tough. It needed a little more time in the pressure cooker. The pork barbecue was a disappointment as well. My son, who loves pork barbecue, found it difficult to eat because it was so tough and not even lukewarm, which suggests it wasn't freshly prepared. The flavor was okay, but it didn't make up for the poor texture.Even the garlic fried rice missed the mark--it seemed old, wasn't made to order, and was served at room temperature, making it dry and unappetizing.Overall, the place has potential, and I shared my feedback with the waiter when he asked. We might give it another try if we're in the area, but for now, it didn't quite meet our expectations.

My wife and I were in Orlando for the weekend to go to a very popular amusement parks there and I had carving for Filipino food so we stopped in at Nipa hut. Haven't been there in a long while. We had chicken adobo and had the sisig. The portions are big, it's Filipino food after all ( when we cook we tend to cook like we are feeding an army). Anyway I digress, the sisig came sizzling to the table. It was flavorful not too spicy. The chicken adobo sauce was a little too thick for me but my wife liked it. I am used to how my mom made it and how I was taught to make it. Nonetheless it was still good. They have a mini shop with Filipino inspired designs as well as barongs. Next to the store is a shake shop where they offer boba teas and other smoothies. I ordered a Taho ( it's silky tofu with sweet sauce made from dark brown sugar and vanilla extract for those of you not familiar with it) it also has tapioca pearl aka boba pearls. We were satisfied with our orders and had a little bit left over for late night snack BUT I forgot about it and left it in the hotel fridge .

All food was great. The soup was delicious with corn. Pancit is an all time favorite and it had shrimp and large lagoustines. The pancit was great and a more yellow variety than what I know. We got so many items on the menu I unfortunately forgot to take pictures as I had just spent all day at seaworld and was starving :)

My son was craving Filipino food so we found this place on Yelp. We felt like we were walking into a Filipino grandmas home. All the tables were set up family style like you would find in most Filipino homes. It was a bit awkward since there was just the two of us and we wished we had more family with us to fill the table. We ordered the lechon Kawali and dinuguan. The lechon kawali was perfectly crisp and my son enjoyed it. I did not care much for the dinuguan as it was watery and mostly contained innards rather than diced pork. Service was good however the waitress kept speaking to me in Tagalog but unfortunately I could not understand most of what she was saying. I regret not learning the language.

Such a good hidden gem! Such friendly staff, and ample seating. The menu isn't large, but has all the classic faves - like lechon Kawali, and bihon. Make sure to save room for Halo Halo.

Sorely disappointed as we were really looking for Filipino food that is hard to have back at home so we decided to go here and while the servers are friendly and the place is impressively big when you enter--it looked smaller on the outside. But the food was a total disappointment. The worst Filipino food we've ever had. It was bland--from the pancit to the dinuguan, and crispy pasta was dry. Nothing stood out. Do not recommend.

Great service and the most consistently good filipino food in the Orlando area. Kare kare was excellent. Food comes out hot and fresh. The menu also has breakfast from 11 am to 1 pm. Authentic filipino food and very reasonably priced. We've been to just about every filipino restaurant in the Orlando/Kissimmee area but continue to return to Nipa Hut when craving filipino food.

Went on a Monday afternoon and this was the only Filipino restaurant that was open near us - and was not disappointed at all! The inside looked like a traditional Filipino restaurant. We were seated right away (you pick where you seat) and the food arrived fairly quickly. There's also a booth by the entrance that served Filipino drinks and bubble tea.5/5 Pineapple Juice ($3.99)4/5 Pork Eggrolls ($5.99) - Had better ones but did not disappoint5/5 Lechon Kawali ($16.99) - Crunchy and comes with a side of mang tomas5/5 Pork Sisig ($16.99) - Fresh and flavorful, pork was tender and juicy
