What's not to like about Night of a Million Lights?! This event is held at Give Kids the World which is a story book type resort dedicated to providing children with critical illnesses and their families A weeklong vacation experience. As for the event, Night of a Million Lights, it is a holiday event work all the houses are adorned with Christmas lights and music going on all around. For 2021, as you arrive to the property you are directed to parking on the other side of Route 192. From there you will be driven by boss over to the event. It's about a 10 minute bus ride, maybe a little less if less traffic and you don't hit the light, from the parking to the event drop off.Your ticket is scan before you get on the bus so once you come off, can you simply start enjoying the run. This year they have plenty of vendors throughout the property selling food, snacks, merchandise. It's a great event for a great cause, and plenty of opportunities for holiday photos

This was a great experience! I went on opening night (not intentionally, just worked with our plans) with my mother, aunt and cousin (GNO). We wanted to do something extra Christmas-y while my aunt and cousin were in town visiting and this fit the bill! We didn't fully know what to expect regarding the showcase, but it rocked! Plus, your supporting a good cause. The light displays were elaborate and so cool, I thought the sponsored houses were neat, and the train ride had a fantastic story and information with it. We didn't eat anything there or get souvenirs, but it looks well organized from that perspective with options. We were there from ~8pm-10pm and it was a perfect amount of time.It was low key and relaxed, but so exciting! I'd recommend this as a cute date night for couples or a family outing for young children. If you liked and miss Disney's Osbourne Lights at Hollywood Studios, you're going to love Night of a Million Lights!

There was a huge hole left in my heart when The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights was discontinued at Walt Disney World. When I heard that Disney had donated a large amount of lights (and volunteer work) for this event I was intrigued. The Night of Million Lights is a peek inside a place that normally isn't open to the public.Over a million lights are used to create this spectacle. Each family apparently gets their own villa and each of those has been covered in beautiful lights. The villas that surround one of the lakes will blink and "dance" in unison to music that is playing on loudspeakers. What I particularly enjoyed is that they put two rocking chairs in many of the driveways of the villas so that you could sit away from other people and take in the sights. It's just beautiful! There are a good deal of buildings that are decorated in the spirit of a sponsor. My favorite was the Ripley's Believe it or Not building. They had mannequins that represented some of the people that have been featured by Ripley's. If you've ever wanted to know what it's like to stand next to the tallest man that ever lived then this is your opportunity! We were a little confused when we hit a line for a small train/shuttle. We almost didn't do it but a volunteer talked us into it. I actually ended up going back and thanking her because it was really enjoyable. You get to see a sizable portion of the lights that are in areas that you cannot walk to. Being on the shuttle is the only way to see them.Throughout the resort they had typical theme park food (pretzels, popcorn, Dippin Dots, etc) as well as having a food area where Boston Market dishes were sold. Make sure you bring a credit card or a device with a digital wallet because cash is not accepted in 2021.I have a general rule where I just focus on my own experiences and don't comment on other people's reviews, but I feel that I must say something about the other reviewers that are complaining about the parking situation. This is not a theme park built for your enjoyment. This is a non-profit charity organization dedicated to giving critically ill children and their families wonderful vacations. The public usually is not allowed inside and they don't normally host the large number of people that attend this event. It would make absolutely no sense for them to have a large parking lot that would have no function the vast majority of the year. Especially when that space could be used to accommodate more children or provide more experiences for the children they already host. The drop off area is being used by the buses and having civilian traffic allowed inside would impede the very efficient system they already have. They clearly explain the parking situation on the website for the event and give you the parking address BEFORE you buy tickets and as your event date approaches. My GPS took me right to the parking area using the address they provided. Even if you didn't know the address there's an entry on Google Maps called "Night of a Million Lights - Event Parking". If you don't have a GPS there are large blinking signs on both 192 and Old Vineland Rd telling you where to turn for the parking area. After arriving at the parking area we immediately got on a bus which left shortly after we boarded and there were two other buses behind it waiting to accommodate more people. We were at the lights less than 10 minutes after that. When we left it was the same scenario of rapid boarding and departing. I don't see how they possibly could have handled the parking situation better. This was a delightful experience and it makes me happy that the proceeds are going to such a worthy cause. I'm glad that I found out about this event and would definitely return in the future!

I'm going to start this review by mentioning the parking and food situation. They have no on sit parking. They don't advertise this when you buy your ticket. It's just an annoying surprise. In the FAQ on the website it does mention this and gives the address of the field where you park. Google maps won't have an easy time telling you how to get to that field. Once parked in the field you have to take a gray hound style bus to Give Kids the World. This bus is masks optional. There is absolutely no other way to get to the event. You can't even drop off part of your party if you wanted. I really did not like this.Next let's talk food. They sell snack bar style food at the event. Popcorn, pretzels, chrurros, dip and dots, and varying drinks. They also have a Boston Market stand that sells pot pies, chicken sandwiches, chicken cesar salads, and mac & cheese. The lights and stuff were pretty. You walk around some big areas of the area and then there is a tram tour of the rest of the facilities. Give Kids the World is open to sick kids so the tram shows you the lights in the areas that they are staying in.

This is our second year attending Night of a Million Lights. We LOVE Give Kids the World and everything that they support and do for the children. The lights...are...incredible. They remind me of the former Osborne Spectacle of Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios (and my understanding is that some of the lights were relocated there). We love love love that this is now a part of our family's holiday traditions. I will say that things are definitely different this year because when we went last year, the Village was closed to children and their families because of the pandemic. The only change that we really did not like, was the parking situation, which I hope can be changed for next year. We had to park quite a ways away and the signage for where to park was a little unclear (and very small if you are driving in the dark and trying to find it). There is a bus that takes you over to the Village which is nice, but you do have to fold up strollers and store them under the bus which can be hard if you have an infant, like we do. We will still continue to go back year after year. It supports such an amazing cause and we love the atmosphere.

The Night of a Million Lights Holiday Festival runs daily from Friday, November 13th through Sunday, January 3rd, and transforms "Give Kids The World" Charity's whimsical "Storybook Village" into a dazzling winter wonderland! More than 3 million glittering lights immerse guests in a festive kaleidoscope of holiday sights and holiday sounds across the massive 83 acres resort, including a shimmering 150-foot tunnel leading to 45 exquisitely decorated wish family residential villas, more than 50 larger-than-life holiday-themed wireframe displays, an enchanting, incandescent gingerbread arch, and out-of-this-world space-themed decor adorning the Village's delectable new centerpiece, Henri's Starlite Scoops. Night of a Million Lights is held in the evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, with staggered entry times to prevent crowding. Masks are required for all guests. Be sure to grab a map when entering this event so you don't miss anything. The Night of a Million Lights encompasses the entire 84 acre village. There are multiple neighborhoods with a collection of villas normally used for housing wish families. Each of the 168 villas is adopted by a company and adorned with dazzling lights and decorations. The Night of a Million Lights map shows where each of the holiday displays and experiences are located, as well as a bingo game that guests can participate in which includes taking a selfie in front of a favorite decorated villa, riding one of the storybook attractions, visiting Planet Hollywood's Holiday Movie memorabilia display in Towne Hall, strolling through Christmas tree trail, taking a photo inside the Lego Land wreath, walking through Universal's Dino Holiday exhibit, playing a game of Whac-a-mole, & enjoying some complimentary ice cream! Night of a Million Lights featured family friendly characters including Mayor Clayton the Rabbit, Ms. Merry, and a glowing stilt walker walking around to greet guests. Each family villa has been sponsored and decorated by some of the Give Kids the World sponsors from Central Florida. This includes Chick-fil-A, Fun Spot America theme parks, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, the Kennedy Space Center, Hasbro, Margaritaville Hotels and Resorts, and so many more!Night of a Million Lights was really put over the top by Disney who donated 3 million lights to the event! Disney also decorated two villas, including one with Belle & the Beast, and the other with Cinderella and Prince Charming! Near The Enchanted Carousel, you can spy 3 Disney Christmas trees from last year's Disney Tree Trail at Disney Springs. In fact, in this area keen eyes can also spy a few props donated from Walt Disney World. I was so excited to see "fire escape Santa Claus" who originally hails from Hollywood Studios.Universal Orlando has lent their efforts in decorating Marc's Dino Putt mini-golf course located on the village property. The course is decked out in lighting and holiday music gave a touch of Christmas atmosphere!Night of a Million Lights Tickets range from $25-$40 for adults and $15-$20 for kids, depending on the night you attend. Admission includes complimentary ice cream, hot cocoa, and access to the wheelchair-accessible rides located on the property. Additional food items and merchandise are available for purchase as well with things like tees, hats, glow lights, hand sanitizer, and fun glasses to wear! In the pool area you can enjoy music and singing, and complimentary hot cocoa and ice cream. Inexpensive casual food like pizza and hot dogs is available for purchase here, with proceeds going to the Village. Food and drink is to be consumed in this area so that guests walking through the village can keep their masks on. You can purchase tickets for Night of a Million Lights on the Give Kids The World website. If you're looking for a fun family outing this holiday season, I highly recommend walking around the Night of a Million Lights to look at the decorations, play some games, and treat yourself to some snacks! Normally, I'd consider the admission price of $25 to see a bunch of Christmas Decorations to be a little high but you do get ice cream, hot cocoa, there is a lot to see, and proceeds from admission do benefit a very worthy & important charity. Give Kids The World is a non-profit organization which provides critically ill children and their families a chance to visit Orlando theme parks at no cost to them. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes! We spent over two hours walking around! If you are looking for another holiday festival in the Orlando area, I recommend visiting Disney's Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs with no charge!
