New Texas Fried Chicken

I had a late night craving for a Philly cheesesteak last night after leaving Universal Studios in Orlando. Something took me down Orange Blossom Trail where I stopped and tried New Texas Fried Chicken Restaurant for the first time. I ordered a philly combo fully loaded which came with thick cut potato fries and a canned soda. And I was pleasantly impressed. The meat, cheese, & mushroom ratio was perfect. And the onions and peppers must've been cooked down so that I didn't have to crunch into them but could still taste their flavor. The meal was perfect. And Jay who helped me was very friendly and customer oriented. I paid attention to several guest command things with few pleases or thank yous and he maintained his friendly demeanor. I'll definitely go back.

Probably THE BEST fried chicken I've ever had! Idk why the negative review or low rating this has but it is LOADED with flavor, perfect crisp with skin that just melts in your mouth from first bite. It is halal, owned by very friendly middle eastern family. They have a drive thru so you can place ahead of time and just pick up to go! Plenty of seating inside as well. They offer a crap ton of other items, like sandwich, seafood etc. What gets me is the flavoring of their fried chicken, it's nothing like KFC or Popeyes, this place takes fried chicken to a different level!! I drive 20 miles round trip just to get this. Ohhhh, and the price is also very affordable. Keep up the great work!!

Best fried chicken in that area period - plus the wings are and the food is fresh. Definitely well seasoned and they were super nice - definitely coming again

Been here last few day that fish(cat) and shrimp go crazy flavors are there unlike those others places who drench there food I'm that lemon pepper seasoning for flavor shm but all in all food was delicious that lemonade on beat overall experience very pleasing

Absolutely love this place. Back up north, in the Tri state area, there are tons of fried chicken places so to me, this is a nice reminder of home. The chicken is absolutely amazing here. I like to get food here at least once a week. I would go more if my lunch break allowed me to, but the fries, burgers and just about all of their food is delicious and fills you up.

The area is in the lower class area of Orlando, but the people in the restaurant are friendly and the police station was right across the street so it is in a safe area. -Meal: The Monster Burger At first glance, the Monster Burger looks like any old burger, but oh was I wrong. Double patty, lamb, and what I think is halal bacon but I'm not too sure. All I know is that there were 3 different types of meat. The three different types of meat were sandwiched between lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup, onions, and two sesame seed buns. The burger looks small, but it is really filling. You can taste the different types of meats with each bite, but that's all you can taste. I tried my best to see if I could taste other flavors; the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or the condiments; but it was a no go. The taste of the meats was overpowering, but the quality of the meats was good. The lamb was tender and melts as you bite into the burger. Altogether, the burger tasted like a gyro but in burger form. If you don't know what a gyro taste like... try one, it's worth your money, and it tastes like a pork, chicken, or a fast food version of lamb wrapped in flatbread. (Let's get this BREAD!) Although it might sound bad for you (which it probably is), it tastes pretty good.-Meal 2: FriesThe fires are addicting. I was full after eating the burger and I still couldn't stop eating the fries. The look of the fires made it seem like they are hand fried from potatoes and not from a bag.

So, I have been stopping here for over a year to get the chicken because I had to go to ORMC regularly for work. Since COVID, I have been working from home and have not been out much. However, I fell and broke my wrist and my hand surgeon's office is by ORMC, so it put me back in the area. I stopped yesterday to get chicken, but then saw gyros on the menu and thought I would try. I didn't have high hopes because I'm from up north and our tzatziki sauce is creamy (like a dressing) and full of flavor. Since moving to Florida I have not been able to find a place with, IMO, good sauce. Anyway, my fears were further alerted when there person taking my order repeated that I wanted a "ji-ro". I though, oh no...this is not going to be good...he doesn't know how to pronounce it. Lol. I thought quickly about changing to the chicken. But I didn't. Let me tell you about my surprise when I got my bag and opened it! I saw creamy sauce!! I immediately stuck my finger in to taste it, and my tastebuds sang a beautiful melody!! Hands down, the best gyro (yee-ro) I've had since 2016. I ate it so fast that I didn't stop to take a picture. But no worries, I'm going back today for another! Great job guys!!! My only complaint....they didn't give any napkins.

Honestly one of my favorite places to eat... best fried chicken in Orlando hands down. Always fresh and the owner jay is so nice and really promotes an awesome service. We need more places to eat that have this kind of quality and service around here!

My favorite takeout spot in Orlando has a new location in the Millenia area! It's pretty busy so we usually call in our order and pick it up. My favorites are the grilled chicken sandwich or the lamb gyro! My boyfriend likes the 3 piece wing. They've got a little bit of everything!
