New China Buffet

NEW is right! They have a new take on peanut and coconut chicken just to name a few amazing and unique dishes they serve. We have loved everything we have tried so far, it's all just amazing!!

This is in a shopping center. They have 3 buffet tables of hot food and 2 cold food tables as well as scoop your own ice cream and a hibachi grill option. Servers kept the drinks refilled and the dirty plates removed. With drink it was about $20 a person. The inside is clean but older. The food was all good/average. Lots of shrimp and chicken options. Also frog legs, pork chops and ribs.

Nothing was yukky, no spit gristle to spit out in a napkin. All the food was " good enough", the Sesame Chicken was better than good enough. So this would rate about a 3.5 but since it was only ten bucks the value gets it up to a 4, I would stop here if I was in this neck of the woods ( we were looking to tour an orange grove in Umatilla )

The only two dishes that had flavor were the baked Krab and the Mac & Cheese. No sushi offerings. Limited food offerings. Bland tasting dishes. I will not be back.

This is mainly a pandemic update. New China Buffet was closed completely for quite a while in the spring, and then re-opened with take-out only. We have gone a few times for take-out and of course the food is just as good as ever. And I really like the manageress. A few weeks ago when I went for take-out I was surprised they had opened up the buffet also, even though the Covid19 numbers are worse now then they were. But that is where the state is at now. I went back today for take-out. It wasn't crowded and they have a fairly large space, so I guess distancing is possible, but half the customers weren't wearing masks, including a woman who came right up to the counter when I was paying. The employee was behind plexiglass, but I wasn't, so I stepped back six feet while she complained about her bill. At least I was wearing one. Needless to say, I will stick with take out for a long time.

Staff was very friendly and attentive they kept the dining room very clean we're wearing masks the entire time. I was shocked with how much food choices clams, fresh in the shell shrimp 4 soups lots and lots of desserts. And a steal at $12.99 price for dinner. I will definitely be back again I went early 4/5 pm. Was excellent

Amazing Mongolian stir fry! In the back corner and often overlooked. Pick your own raw meat, veggies and noodles and have them cook it for you in different sauces. So good!! Also love the buffet and take out options! Our office stuffed ourselves for 2 days with all the food and leftovers!

Everyone was reasonable. It was clean. You wear gloves when getting the food.There was alot of options including hibachi. The food was good and the price was very reasonable.

Went there for the 1st time in 3years. I knew what I wanted so did not look at menu. Ordered Egg Foo Young to go. Was charges $1.00 more than menu says. Egg Foo Young was over cooked and looked burnt. Egg Foo Young was shoved in box and hard to take out without it falling apart. Will not go back

Didn't expect such a good selection for lunch, well worth the $13 and everything we ate off the buffet was very good and not what you would expect in a strip mall
