5 Stars for great Jamaican food in Sanford that's easy for pick-up or delivery and packs TONS of flavor! Plus- Vegetarian meat options (soy-based)!I was getting together with some friends and we ordered from Negril. Luckily, a couple of my friends are Jamaican and they helped steer me to some new faves!Food I'd highly recommend:- Brown stew chicken meal with rice and peas, fried plantain, and stewed cabbage. This dish is rich and has the potential for leftovers if you're not starving. For the uninitiated, Jamaican rice and peas consist of red kidney beans and rice that's cooked in broth, coconut milk, and tons of aromatic spices. This isn't your white rice and green peas type of situation. I could have eaten this rice on its own, but add in the brown stew sauce and WOW. Also, I love the cabbage side because it adds a vinegary note that offsets the rich stew. Note: The chicken is cut up and includes bones. - Coco bread: This is a Jamaican style bun baked with coconut milk. It's especially good when paired with a patty in the middle (yes, the coco bread around the patty! Carb heaven!).- Festival: Jamaican festival is a sweet fried dough made with cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and milk aka a dumpling. Yes this is as good as it sounds- especially for soaking up brown stew gravy!I was BLOWN away to see an entire veggie section of the menu (for online ordering) featuring soya veggie chunks (a soy based option with the consistency of chicken). That's a HUGE deal for those of us with vegetarians in the family. Overall, delicious Jamaican food that I'll definitely order again!

The place is clean. No wait in a Sunday night.Server was friendly.Good turnaround was 10mins.Ordered the Oxtail. It was tender, the meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. It was spiced right. The cabbage was medium, not too soft and blended well with the beans. It was a good Meal. Will recommend this place for oxtails.

Stopped here on a Thursday afternoon for a carry out order and it wasn't bad, but not great. I normally order an oxtail meal if I'm eating Caribbean food but I ordered the jerk chicken meal instead just to be safe. It came with rice& peas and cabbage and honestly wasn't bad, just sort of bland and underwhelming. We also ordered 2 beef Patties which were just okay, and 2 kolas. Overall the food wasn't the best and I still prefer golden Krust but if you're in the area and decide to give it a try you might feel differently.

Ordered this for pick up. I had the beef stew (medium size). It was a huge portion size, like enough for two meals. I do wish they would include more cabbage. It's a mountain of rice and meat with a little bit of cabbage. The meat was very tender and seasoned very well. I would recommend

Their chicken soup is amazing. Oxtails are always tender. My only complaint is their cabbage taste like its not cooked with much love and their cornbread is dry.

Oh yeah, this place is it! Ordered to-go for coworkers and I after having a rough morning at work. Was recommended by a coworker to try this place out because I was craving jerk chicken. I ordered the jerk chicken meal that came with two sides: I chose white rice and sweet plantains. The portions are out of this world, definitely worth the $10! It came with half a chicken, a whole side plate of rice and two sweet plantains. The jerk chicken was just the perfect amount of spice and the chicken was still tender and juicy. It definitely reminded of my time in Montego years ago. This place lives up to the reviews, and the employees are nothing but sweet and full of joy. A One-Love feeling!* My other two coworkers ordered the coco curry chicken which explains why it was saucy in my take out. That was also delicious too! Not spicy!

So my jerk pork was excellent. The lady's oxtail she said was good but not great. Rice and peas was on point. I just needed more sauce. The jerk sauce has a great taste and spice to it. Been wanting to try this place for a min. Excellent customer service and I think they may be moving to an ever better spot soon..... maybe near some farmers market!?!? Idk but good for them.

First time trying this Jamaican place down the road in downtown Sanford. We tried some Jerk Ribs and Jerk Chicken. The meal was served with rice and peas, cabbage and mixed vegetables, and plantain. Everything was very well seasoned, and really delicious! We washed our lunch down with a couple of beers. We got the medium size portion and it was still a lot of food. The only thing I regret is it took me so long to try it!

3.50 extra charge for fried dumplings is insane and you can't swap it with the ground provision. And 4.50 for white meat. Quality of food is here and there. Sometimes fresh sometimes stale. Drive to colonial and get better food10:35 and they just opening as well. No food ready for an entire hour. Not business like.
