Nice quaint place, good atmosphere and great food. For appetizer got the truffle fries and was not disappointed. They were just out the fryer, lightly seasoned and the truffle was perfect and not too much as truffle can easily overwhelm the dish. Got the orgasmic roll, which was lightly fried but the sushi was top notch and don't be like me and order 3 lol. The spider and other roll which I can't remember were equally as fresh and good. For a dessert sushi got the mango sushi and it wasn't too sweet and it was refreshing. I'll be back.

We found this restaurant at the end of a long day. We arrived there late, around 1 hour before they closed, but the staff was very friendly and let us get some food. Once sitting there, the place has very intimate areas for dates, and the sits were very comfortable. We got the Yaki Udon, which has a very flavorful broth. It was amazing, and the porting was big enough to share. Also, we tried the fried scallop and volcano roll. Both were excelent in flavor with a kick of spicy. I'm definitely going back to try more of their menu!!

I went to this place after planning to go to a couple other restaurants before but either the prices of the menu items raised again or the wait was about 45min. I had seen this place before and thought it was interesting so after striking out at the two other places I decided to come here, and I'm so glad I did. They were closing in an hour but kindly agreed to serve us. I tried the udon and the scallop and volcano rolls. The fried scallop roll is to die for. It's so incredibly good. The volcano roll was also delicous, the udon broth was also great and very flavorful. The place is a very nice date-night-like spot. I thought the heart plate they gave me was also such a cute touch. I'll definitely be back!

The service was fantastic and the food came out in a timely fashion. This is my favorite sushi spot! The quality of the food is always amazing and consistent. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the booths feel very intimate. It's clean and wether you order to go or dine in you won't be disappointed! It's the perfect date spot and for special occasions.

This is a yet another sushi restaurant on Dr. Phillips competing with Kabooki and Seito among others. We had been to Nagoya in the past and always had a nice experience. Nothing that stood out but fresh food and a solid choice. Our friends wanted to try it so we gave it another go! This was another solid experience. The food was good and the service excellent. The main menu and sake list are also extensive. Parking is easy in the large lot. 3 of us did magical and I ordered off the main menu. Miso soup - the reviews raved about it. They liked it a lot. It was a small cup vs a bowl. Salad - the standard. Nice dressing. App - Octopus salad - very small and a bit spicy. Wouldn't pay $15 for it but it was decent. App: short ribs - good portion bone-in. Tasty. App (off menu): Hamachi Kama / this came a lot later than the rest of the apps, but well worth the wait. Hot, flaky and perfectly seasoned. Main - sashimi regular - fairly small portion but loved it. Super fresh. Main - Teppan (Hibachi) - nothing special and needed the sauce but good. Main - Sea bass - good and light. Nothing too special. Sushi Rolls - They have some really creative rolls. I ordered 3 as I knew my husband would still be hungry and wanted to share with the group lol - we had the sweet 16 (#1 fan favorite by far) and golden dancing dragon (huge and great presentation - also a hit) and another I can't remember that was falling apart but tasted good. They didn't have these on a menu - only an ordering sheet I forgot to photograph:(. The desserts were the banana and cheesecake tempura. We weren't a fan of either. Too much breading - unnecessarily so. We would certainly return for the sushi and sashimi and the fish app but likely not as much for the other dishes. -- with Tacy Callies and Andrew Callies at Nagoya Sushi.

I was craving sushi and decided to stop by. They had magical dining menu going on and opt in for that. Upon skimming through the menu I decided in the octopus salad, two sushi rolls which were the omega and orgasm rolls, and the Mochi ice cream for dessert. I wasn't a fan of the Mochi ice cream, plus their other desserts didn't seemed appealing to me. I really like the octopus salad, great sauce combination. The rolls were tasty as well. Enjoyed the orgasm roll more than the omega roll. Plenty of food for two people to share. Wait staff were attentive and refilled our waters. Nice small space and wasn't packed when I dined here.

I will get right to the conclusion - the place is just OK, but not the 4 or 5 stars that others have left on their review. I was so excited to try this place when I read the other reviews and the online menu. The menu and the photos looked amazing - but that is where the "amazing" stops. Very disappointed, actually. I came here with my father and two others. My father grew up in Japan until 36. I grew up there until 15, but went back a to work for few years until 2015. Needless to say, the food there vs. "Japanese" food here, are different. The food here, in most places, is fine for average econo-Japanese food that are Asian inspired that one find everywhere these days. Some people just love the new fusion Asian. Don't be fooled by the name, Nagoya. There is nothing Nagoya about it.I had the salmon poke - lunch portion. It was pretty to look at, the presentation is pretty interesting for a poke. I prefer to add my own sauce or furikake to suit my taste - the wait staff or chef asked how I want it. It was just how it came - no request to have the sauces and furikake on the side. For that, they get automatic 3 stars. It was too sweet for my taste because of the sauce.Call me old fashioned, but I like the sushi and the Japanese dishes - traditional. That means not all that fancy presentation and overly sweet sauces. All the food should use proper dashi for the deep flavor as base. The Japanese people calls it umami. Again, this is my persistent complaint about so many of the sushi joint - the rice! The rice needs to be cooked and chilled, with proper amount of salt and sweet vinegar. Nope, this place seemed to have skipped that important step. If you don't prepare the rice the right way, then I might as well go get a cheap box of sushi at Publix or some other grocery stores in the deli section.Perhaps, I am premature to throw this place under the bus, but I will have to be selective the next time I visit.

Great food , server was friendly and attentive. We have eaten here several times and we are never disappointed. Start with the short ribs , very tender and tasty. My wife really likes the Omega Roll. Restaurant is nicely decorated and not very noisy.
