Great barbecue and soul food! And friendly courteous service. I don't think they have reopened since suffering a recent fire, but I sure hope they will. I know they are missed by their customers!

We walk past this place almost everyday and haven't eaten here yet ( only open Thursday Friday and Saturday ) but we'll worth the trip !! Great people running the place too ( super friendly and helpful ) I had the chicken and rib combo with Mac and cheese and green beans ! Was wonderful My wife had the pulled pork with baked beans and corn bread . Was delicious as well . We will be back and highly recommend this place . I forgot to tie a photo of food , but believe me it was great .

Mt Dora has a new best BBQ!! We purchased the chicken dinner and reg rib dinner which comes with your choice of two sides. Green beans and mac n cheese were our selections. The food is absolutely fantastic! Mouth watering fall off the bone chicken and ribs. The beans were flavorful and delicious and the mac n cheese was creamy rich with cheese. Best fresh lemonade and fresh fruit desert! Large delicious portions at great prices and very friendly staff. An easy 5 stars! Wishing Mommys the absolute best as we'll be back for more soon.

Just stopped in to this wonderful new addition to Mount Dora! It was lunchtime so I got the pulled pork sandwich and a piece of sweet potato pie. Both were fantastic and much better than any of the barbecue we have found in the year and a half we've lived here in Mount Dora. Before I left the owner came out and gave me one of their delicious ribs. I've been thinking about buying a smoker but I think I'm gonna put that off because there's no way I will ever make ribs and other smoked meat better than mommy's

We love BBQ & believe the best is usually at a black owned restaurant in the neighborhood. As a lover of all things food in Mount Dora we've been looking for that perfect bbq spot and this is it. A nothing drive, an easy bike and even a reasonable walk. It's open on F/S/S all day & early evening. The pork was smoked just right smothering 2 slices of white bread & the greens, Mac cheese are great teammates to Mommy's delicious green beans. Do your taste buds a favor & visit Mount Dora's latest gem.

Best BBQ in Lake County hands down! If ever near Mommy's it has to be a must stop. Was blown away by every bite. Then I had the fruit cup and sweet potato pie and didn't think Mommy's could get any better and went and blew me away again! Easy 5 stars! Will be back for sure
