Momma’s Pantry

First of all - Chef Leah ~ SERVED ~ and I ~ATE~! It wasn't just any comfort food - it was so good it made me hypedddd for more. I loved tasting the love and energy put into each dish and the meticulous details of flavor which brought out the BEST of each component. The BEST comfort food in Orlando.I had their Mojo Baked Chicken, Mac n Cheese, Collard Greens, and Candied Yams. Their portions are exactly what you expect to find when eating out of your mom's kitchen - ensures you feel full and LOVED. Their chicken was extremely juicy and packed with spices, green bell peppers, and onions ~ chef's kiss~. Their mac n cheese is also the best mac n cheese I've had to date. It was rich, and creamy AND had the toasted cheese edges we all look forward to (most of us). Their collards were cooked and seasoned to perfection - perfect texture in every bite and full of flavor without the soggyness I'm always so afraid of!Wherever Momma's Pantry is - is where I will be. Hit the spot and it is the best spot! Value is so worth and I felt so good after eating all that food!!! Mmmmmm can't wait to try more!

Food was a 10/10! I visited Tasty Tuesdays and Mommas Pantry was the only soul food truck there. I waited about 5 minutes before I was served and about 15 minutes for the food. The catfish and chicken was made to order. There was so much to choose from so I decided on catfish, oxtails and chicken! My sister had the oxtails and OMG was it tender and seasoned well. The catfish was seasoned so well, not to salty and fried lightly with a little crisp around the edges! The mac and cheese was cheesy and the candied yams were just enough sweet! It was loud outside but that was normal because of the other food trucks. Everyone was friendly and prices were reasonable!

I had Momma's at the Yelp showcase event last night at OSC and was super impressed. The Candy Mac and cheese (I call Crack Mac) was insane. I also loved the pound cake too. Everything was delicious and well executed. I'd call it 'Not Your Mommas pantry' because not all mommas can bring it like this. I'll be looking for the food truck in the future!

I love this food truck! I originally discovered them at a Yelp event at the Orlando Science Center and I was hooked. (The jams they were playing at that event also brought me in, along with a number of Yelpers.) This is my third time visiting Momma's Pantry, as I came to the Food Truck Rally & Market at Rockpit Brewing especially to savor their food again. The outstanding and friendly staff consists of Chef Leah, "Sugar Mama", "Dad" and Uncle Walt. They bring along the fun with their great food selections.I've had the Country Fried Catfish before, along with their "one and only" Candied Yams, and it is true soul food cooking. (One gentleman at this event could not stop raving about the candied yams. He wanted to slap someone they were so good!! See the video attached.) Today, I ordered Auntie DeeDee's Fried Chicken, along with Garlic Butter Green Beans and the Jalapeno Mac & Cheese. I don't know what's in Auntie DeeDee's recipe, but the chicken was moist, and the breading spices were amazing. You need to taste it to truly appreciate the flavor! The green beans were delicious with just the right amount of garlic butter to enhance them. The mac & cheese, with jalapeno and bacon, was a taste combination of sheer soul food heaven. I was so happy I could have slapped myself! To top off the meal, I had some of Momma's Pantry's "banana puddin". The reviews I had read about this creation were spot on. It contained just the right amounts of vanilla wafers and sliced bananas, making the smooth, fluffy and light concoction a five-star ending to the meal.Follow this food truck @mommaspantryorl to see where they will be next. Chef Leah is doing her momma proud! I hired Momma's Pantry for a company event and she did not disappoint. We selected the fried fish and mojo chicken. Team members were coming back for seconds. She delivered the food on time. The food was in secured containers and still warm. There was a line around the break room corner before we were ready to start serving. Her personality won everyone over as I introduced her and her business to the entire team. She received roaring applause. Rude service. Apparently customers can't ask questions or discuss menu without her catching an attitude and cancelling service. Stay away, plenty of kinder and more professional chefs in the Orlando area.
