Epcot does its best to make everyone feel at home by providing food from different parts of the world. Tokyo Dining from Mitsukoshi provides Japanese food when you need it. The college program students provide astonishingly great service in the beautiful dining room. There is also the option for hibachi here and has a Disney twist to the show.

we came here with friends that were visiting and wanted their kids to try Hibachi so we ended up at Mitsukoshi. Food was good, not the best hibachi I have ever had but it was a lot of food, and our chef was good, but not as entertaining or skillful as other chefs I saw at surrounding tables. The kids enjoyed the experience and service was prompt with our reservation for 8.

we got here about around dinner time so there was a wait. I wanted sashimi, but when I went to the restroom I noticed they had hibachi! That would have been fun but I stuck with my original choice. The lady's were dresses in beautiful Japanese outfits, and I loved that it went with the theme. We ordered california roll, eel sushi, ahi tuna, and a bottle of plum wine. The plum wine was a bit sweet for my taste. The Ahi tuna is what I loved the most. So fresh and good. I wanted to savor every piece. The baked eel was also good, and the California roll is a classic!

This has to be the worst Teppanyaki place we have ever been to! The sad thing is there were multiple people that told us exact same thing. My daughter ordered a cab & they brought her a Chardonnay which she's never drank (she only drinks red wine) and they gave her attitude and took 30 minutes to bring out the right wine. The edamame was freezing cold and they said "that's how you eat it but I'll microwave it for you" which they did lol... the server wouldn't check on us and my wife asked for spicy sauce and she said they don't have that but when I asked she said "oh volcano sauce?! Sure!" The sushi came out after our meal (it was an appetizer) and when we asked the manager she said "be patient" and walked away (after we were there for 2 hours). The bus boy came after and all of our bills were wrong (all 3 parties at the table had wrong bills) and we told the bus boy and he goes "it is what it is" and said it multiple times. That was the worst service the worst food & if it wasn't for our dinner mates would have been the worst $200 we have spent. Save your $$ and pick somewhere else for your special dinner in Epcot.

The ambiance and service is good. However, I came here specifically for good food which I failed to get on 2 visits. I go to Japan a lot and have eaten lots of Japanese food. Sad to say that food at this restaurant supposedly manned by authentic Japanese citizens is not good. Any fast food restaurant in Japan is much better. The sushi roll does not have any flavor. Unagi on the sushi roll does not taste decent. Sashimi is not that fresh, being just edible. The worst is the teriyaki chicken in the bento box. The chicken is dry, bland and not edible. The small ramen soup however is delicious. Overall this restaurant is too pricey for low quality dishes.I challenge Japan Pavilion to bring good and fresh authentic Japanese food here to better represent its country. Please do not merely rely on its good location to make a fat profit.

Every Disney visit includes lots of shopping at Mitsukoshi. On previous trips we did the whole pearl thing. In fact, we have three pearl rings we never wear but I'm okay with that. On this trip it was just about the shopping. We browsed the entire store. The Japanese snacks are stupidly over priced so we skipped them. The restaurants are great so we ate at Teppan Edo. The best thing in the store? Zen garden. They had a few small desktop-sized option that I'm tempted to buy but I'll wait and get them on Amazon for 1/3 the price. Definitely stroll around and check out the merchandise here. It's not a bad place to pick up souvenirs, try some sake and watch people pick pearls.

I rarely dine in restaurants when i visit Disney... But I wasn't in the mood for the usually overpriced under flavor burgers and hotdogs. We decided to try Mitsukoshi. The exterior seems very mysterious..Makes you feel like you traveled to ancient time in Japan..Everyone was polite. From the hostess, to our waitress, to the manager that made rounds to make sure everything was up to par, and it sure was. From the appetizer, to our main course., everything was delicious and fresh. It is a little on the pricey side. But we are inside of Disney. It's definitely well worth it to to spend on sushi vs. burger and fries.

I have been visiting Epcot for years and I have strangely never eaten at this restaurant. So today was the day finally. Since it is the slow season it was easy to get a table without a lunch reservation. We walked up tge steep steps and in we went. We were promptly greeted Japanese style and directed to our table. The view of the lake from our table was very nice. If you like Japanese style you will love the look of tgis restaurant. It is beautiful and a comfortabke space to enjoy conversation and a meal. Our server was very pretty, nice, and helpful with the menu. Im a sucker for Japanese girls, I blame Karate Kid II. She took out drink and food order and off she went. She promptly returned with my cold unfiltered sake which was refreshing and delicious. Our meals canne within a very reasonable amount of time. The miso was very tasty and drinking it in the Japanese fashion was cool. The selection of sushimi was vey appealing and the tasty absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the bed of sushi rice below. For dessert I enjoyed the green tea ice cream. A soft serve green tea which made it creamier than the hard stuff. I rnjoyed it very much and they provide a generous portion. All in all a wonderful experience. I will be back.

This is a great option for the Japanese food lover! My husband, Father-in-law, and I all enjoyed our meal! the setting was nice, and the view was perfect! The day we dined, the park was slow, and we were able to snag an early reservation. This is very authentic dining, and the staff is great at helping you decide on your meal. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star is we waited a little while for drinks, and the bill was through the roof for that inconvenience.

Review for restaurant (not store):Unfriendly service at front of door. Perfectly fine to walk out and find a different mediocre place nearby.
