Went for Valentine's Day dinner with my daughter and had a great experience.Hostess with warm greeting.Thankful we were able to get sat right away.Amazing service too. Shoutout to Amber. Very attentive, on top of everything. Seems like nowadays good service is hit or miss and is the key ingredient to add value to the bill. Amber delivered! I don't even feel the rising costs on bills when the service is that good. Started with Mozzy sticks that had a great cheese pull. Cooked perfectly. Shout out chef! Zinger mountain melt and big red, key staples on the menu that I come in for.Just wanted to say great job to everyone on V-day! Chill vibes all around.

Ale House is always one of my go to's for bar food. Zingers are my fav item to order so when I got an email about the new Mountain Melt Madness I ran to Ale House. This location is less busy than others and one of the reasons I come here. Since we got there when it opened it was super quiet and spacious. Our server was just as excited as I was to order the new mountain melt. The Mountain Melt Madness is huge so bring a couple of friends to share all this goodness. The Mountain Melt Madness is a warm Bavarian Pretzel with creamy beer cheese, famous Zingers Mountain Melt® tossed in hot Buffalo sauce, gooey & melted cheese, green onion, and a stack of Mozzarella Sticks. Served with marinara sauce. Each layer was as good as the previous. The Melt Madness has a little bit of everything and all the flavors work well together. I washed it down with some green tea shots from the bar. To finish off this lunch I ordered a Peppermint Brownie Skillet with Vanilla Ice Cream. This skillet is huge and honestly about 4 people could share. Perfect dessert to kick off the holiday season. Such a great new appitizer I hope Ale House makes it a permanent staple.

From burgers to appetizers, the flavors are impressive, and the portions are satisfying. The atmosphere at this establishment adds to the overall dining experience. Generally, I love Millers Ale House; I wouldn't say its my favorite place to go, but for the most part, they have never let me down until my most recent experiences at their Kirkman Rd & Winter Park/University store. This review reflects the Winter Park location. It was a mediocre Thursday evening and it wasn't too busy, so I'm not sure why service is lacking, maybe because it's next to Full Sail and they are used to serving the college crowed (not bashing college students, I just graduated again recently as well). There were five of us. One couple ordered a salmon fillet with rice, our fifth wheel got loaded fries, Nancy and I chose one of my personal favorites, the Big Red ($12.99) with fries, an add-on side of onion rings ($3.99), and an add-on house salad with blue cheese dressing ($2.49). Since it was still happy hour, we also ordered a Blue Moon ($5.99) and their house Margarita ($4.99). Our salads arrived in less than 10 minutes; however, we didn't realize until the food was dropped off that there was no silverware to eat with, so we had to wait a few more minutes to receive our utensils. Additionally, one of the salads was supposed to be a Caesar salad and the other house should have included ranch not blue cheese. Our server Marshall was nice enough to let us keep the house/Caesar salad mix-up at no additional cost. About 10-minutes later our main courses arrived, but once again we were missing things and our order was not correct. The Big Red did not arrive with fries, but onion rings instead. We wanted fries with the sandwich and onion rings as an add-on. Marshall said he would bring out a side for fries but we declined. We also were waiting for condiments, which we didn't receive until we were halfway through with our meal, Rat's! I also have to say that the Big Red is not as good as it used to be. I remember it being served as a much thicker piece of fried chicken, more sauce, and including lettuce, tomato, and onion. That's how I always received it at the Kirkman location, but since this is a chain, they are probably all the same. The service is what really killed it for us on this visit. Although Marshall was very pleasant, there were just too many issues. We began to focus more on the issues than the conversation and time together with our friends. When the bill came, we also noticed that the pricing Marshall told us for the beer and margarita specials were actually more than what he told us. It ended up turning into a he said/ she said scenario and I'm not about to argue and create a scene. All-in-all, this was a below average experience for me. The food was good, but the service lacking. I would return again if I was in a bind and nowhere else to go; however, there are many better options on this side of town.

We came here December 2023 about 6:00 p.m.. there were not many people in the restaurant on the side that we were at. The food was good but the service was awful. Our waiter seemed very distracted. He didn't bring us any silverware. We ordered a Caesar salad and regular salad and he brought two regular salads. He miss quoted me the price on a margarita. He didn't bring us any knives to cut our salad or meal.We ordered onion rings and fries but he only brought us onion rings. We had a party of four.My husband and I split the big red chicken sandwich because we both were not real hungry. The chicken was good but I think last time it came with lettuce onion and tomato. This time it just came with a chicken cheese and bread. They did offer you a special sauce which was delicious.I had a side salad and onion rings.I don't think I would come to this one again on University in Winter Park. The one in Sanford is so much better.

I wouldn't say I'm a 'regular' at Ale House, but i tend to visit at least monthly. Since we were in the University & 436 area last night, we went to the University location for dinner last night. When we arrived, the bar was maybe a third full. We waited for about 8 minutes before a bartender was visible - and i did notice about 3-4 other's drinks were also empty. Appeared that the staff was light so i'm sure they were pulling some double duty even though it appeared there were a couple of managers hanging out. We ordered 2 Blue Moons which arrived nicely cold. My husband ordered their 12 oz Prime Rib and the Bartender inquired what sides he wanted. He said a baked potato (Bartender asked 'loaded'? and he said sure) and, when he asked what he wanted for the 2nd side, he said a salad. I ordered their Blackened Shrimp and Chicken Salad. His dinner salad arrived fairly quickly and was very good. His prime rib and loaded baked potato arrived as did my salad. Prime rib, while looking decent, was very grizzly especially on the end sections with the rest overly chewy. [He has had the Prime Rib at other locations and while not the best, they've always been at a minimum pretty ok.] Baked potato was very good. My salad was huge and was very enjoyable. When done, dishes were cleared and we requested our bill. In addition to the quality of the prime rib, we were very disappointed when we received our bill as we were charged an additional fee for the 'loaded' part of the baked potato and charged for a side salad. When we inquired, he informed us that if you get a potato 'loaded' there is an additional charge and that the Prime Rib only comes with one single side. I sure wish we knew about the 'loaded' charge even though we would have still ordered it that way, but why was he asked what he wanted for his 2nd side if it did not COME with a 2nd side? All in all, we probably will not return to this location as it was just disappointing. . . almost a 'duped' feeling.

I am always hopeful that I will at least receive service that doesn't make me want to scream...this was not the case on this visit. The server was brand new and, unfortunately, too sensitive to listen to feedback. I understand that this is a teaching location, but that is still not an excuse. In addition to glaring mistakes, service was slow and at times forgetful. The kitchen was also struggling. There was something wrong with each of our orders; food temp, wrong item, microwaved things that shouldn't have been microwaved. The manager, I wish I had gotten her name, was the bright spot. She took care of each issue that came up without throwing out an excuse. No free food or discount was offered and that's okay...none was needed or wanted. The 2-stars given are absolutely due to her stepping up!

Sometimes Millers just hits different. This location is perfect for Sunday after church as the crowds are low in the afternoon. This place really hypes up after dark with the location being adjacent to Full Sail University. The food is always hot and it doesn't take too long.
