Mikado Sushi

This is hands down the best sushi I've had. There's something about how fresh their fish is combined with the quality of their supplemental ingredients, such as truffle and caviar that just blows my mind. Keep in mind the prices reflect the quality and taste and IMO, they can take all my money.I ordered SO MUCH and every thing to me was a hit with an exception with one: the SCALLOP APPLE CARPACCHIO. For me, there were too many conflicting flavors. As for the items I can't stop raving about: highly recommend the BLUEFIN TUNA TASTING, HOKKAIDO SCALLOP NIGIRI, HON HAMACHI SASHIMI, KANPACHI SASHIMI, TORO OYSTER NIGIRI, TORO UNI HANDROLL, UNI SASHIMI, and absolutely recommend the WAGYU TASTING.I live in Tampa and will gladly make the drive just for this sushi. I will always recommend this place to anyone traveling to Orlando and need somewhere to eat.

I was really excited to go here, but I did even had the chance to take a sit here.I planned this with anticipation and I made a reservation for 8pm. I get there 40 minutes earlier than expected, because I knew it was going to be full for Valentine's Day. But even with all that work I couldn't make it.When I checked in they mentioned that they will let me know when a sit was available. At 8pm I went inside just to check and they said they were going to check me in at that moment. They had other people with reservations from 7:40 still waiting. I decided to leave. I don't understand what is the point of having reservations if you do not how to handle that.Terrible.

I have just found my go to spot for sushi!! I almost don't want to review and gatekeep but they definitely deserve their spotlight moment.An unassuming restaurant in a plaza at Horizon West, this restaurant has everything you look forward to with sushi. The sushi was definitely fresh and the ingredients meld together so nicely.I was initially worried as I couldn't find a reservation online, but thankfully we were able to grab a couple seats at the sushi bar - BEST DECISION EVER. I always look forward to seeing the sushi chefs work their magic and see how the sushi is made. The servers are super friendly and checked up on us to make sure everything was delicious and if we needed any sauces or extra drinks. There was also a good mix of regulars and new comers there which makes the place all the more legit.Now for the food, we got the European Oysters and A5 Wagyu roll to start, WOW!!! The oysters were very fresh and huge; the uni, caviar, and the sauce was just top notch and brought in the right balance of sweetness and citrus. The A5 roll has truffle and caviar and wow that was an eye-rolling delicious masterpiece. By itself or even with sauces I have no criticism and would literally eat 10 rolls of it.Our main rolls: the bonsai roll was very refreshing. This roll doesn't have any rice but was the right balance as the sauce brought it so much balance and a slight citrus freshness. The Hawaii roll was sweet and pairs great with the spicy mayo. Soft shell crab was very tender and compliments nicely with the green fish eggs on top. The drama queen roll was the perfect balance of spicy and citrus and paired well with homemade eel sauce. Lastly, the mikado roll was also perfect, dipped soy sauce and you can't go wrong!Overall obsessed with this place. This will definitely be a place for me to bring friends and be a constant date night spot!

Incredible!! My group and I had a great time and amazing food here! The service was great and the restaurant was clean and nice. We started with the duck and everyone ordered different rolls to each. The duck was fabulous! Of the sushi, our favorite rolls were the drama queen and the Mexican roll, but all of them were delicious! I would definitely recommend for amazing sushi!

I'm bummed to say I didn't love this place as much as I wanted to. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly, but the dishes left a lot to be desired. The scallop nigiri was lacking in flavor and sweetness, and the roll I ordered had pepper slices (I think Serrano) with the seeds still in them. I was sitting at the sushi bar and saw that some prepared pepper slices had had their seeds removed so maybe this was a mistake, but I had to remove them or else the roll was nearly inedible. Unfortunately, I don't think what I ordered was worth the price.

One of the best sushi spots in Orlando, the yellowtail nigiri was exceptional and all the appetisers were extremely well made, the maki rolls were very good however one had a fried shrimp cracker garnish didn't really go but overall the fish was fresh, delicious and is for sure our go to spot. The service was quick and friendly our server gave us a warning sushi takes a while and we respected that and they were very knowledgeable. The ambiance was also very nice and sweet, it's a strip mall restaurant but the interior is similar to sushi places in Japan being small and high quality you do feel like you get your moneys worth versus other sushi restaurants in Orlando overall 10/10 would come every week

This place was a phenomenal!! Very high quality ingredients and it shows. We saw one of the sushi chefs cut out a piece of nigiri or sashimi straight off a fish. It was really cool the watch. I was kinda expecting a more mid to budget place but this was actually really nice and sophisticated. The decor is really high end too. Our server was great and our food came out so fast! We sat at the bar so I think that helped. I'm really glad we checked this place out because we definitely will be coming back! We want try their nigiri next time.

10/01 sushi quality, it is a bit more expensive than other, but worth it!! We ordered different rolls to try, and everything was good. The menu is perfect, variety of rollsRecommend getting the oyster, very yum with a bit of spicy flavor. Service was quick and nice! Everything is clean and modern looking!Would love to come back again

Food: Always Fresh, great quality, Love the raw sushi sashimi and temaki. Presentation is very nice but not always bold as in other places but if you ask they will do it for you. Service: is great, they are very quick with everything you order, they will try to show you even pictures if you need some. Ambience: its family oriented, casual, not loud not, family owned concept, very busy on weekends, most of us are locals and visit often. They do takeouts, never had issue with my order. i love Mikado

Went here for the first time on my birthday. Came in without any expectations because i honestly haven't been impressed with any sushi spots I've been to in Orlando.We had a reservation so when we came in we were seated right away. We started off with Karaage and Ika Geso, good flavors but I wish they were warmer. We got the nigiri set, and honestly, for the price it was worth it. The salad and the miso soup were good. The tuna roll and all the nigiri tasted fresh. It was such a good experience overall
