This is a very much a hole in the wall with very few grocery items for purchase. The location needs an overall uplift and cleaning. It's clear that the owners are trying to save money here and there. Even the refrigerated food display cases are utilized for storage. This probably looks like someone's home where they expect no guests to visit. Don't get me wrong, the people are very friendly. I called ahead to get an Ube purple cake and they are extremely welcoming. I drove an extra 1.5 hours of the way in traffic to make a stop here - and I'm not sure I'd do that again. The Ube cake is tasty - and inexpensive. It's like $35 for this half sheet cake. It's not too sweet at all. I think it actually needs more Ube in the filling. I taste a lot of Ube essence flavoring. Overall, it's moist and I froze it at home to enjoy it whenever.

I love me a good grocery store with a restaurant inside lol this Filipino bake shop plus grocery plus restaurant has a great variety of Filipino cuisine, snacks and atmosphere that just reminds me of home. One time eating here with my family, I learned that you can order a decent-sized ube cake for $35. It is super moist and delicious and you can't beat that price for a custom-made cake not commonly found in stores. I try to place an order when I have family in town to celebrate birthdays. Just give them a call and the cake can be ready in about 2-3 days. They're always so nice and accommodating. I will have to try their restaurant again so I can make a complete review.

Mercel Bakeshop. I always order my Filipino food here. They're very hospitable and gets the orders right, most of the time. Their food is delicious and it's not very pricy. My favorite is pancit canton (fat noodles with chicken or shrimp and vegetables). Almost like lomein but, less oil and more tasty, in my opinion. and their Turon (banana wrapped in wonton wrapper, sweet and crunchy). I've ordered these from other Filipino restaurants but, Mercel gets it right all the time. I recommend this restaurant/store The store is clean and they have seatings to eat there.

I'm confused. The photos on here show food made and desserts on display. Drove 45 minutes from Winter Springs to this area to check out the Filipino places by this neck of the woods. Walked in and there was NO pre made food station, but there were like 4 booths with people sitting down eating. I don't know if they're workers or family members of the people who work there. But they were eating and not one dessert on display. Not one person acknowledged our presence when we walked in, therefore we walked out and didn't spend a $1

A sweet mom and pop grocery store with indoor dining booths. Got my ube fix, a sweet tuber used in dessert like treatments. It was one of fillings for the soft roll options. I recommend the stir fry pansit noodle. Tasty but I wished they mixed up the ingredients instead of putting the rice noodles on the bottom. The bistec is a flank-steak lathed in an adobo like sauce. Meat was a little tough. Not bad food considering it is a grocery store. Don't skip the refrigerated section. I picked up some coconut sticky rice for a sweet treat.

I am always looking for somewhere that has fresh lumpia. It's similar to vietnamese summer rolls but a little bit different. They had them here, but it wasn't what I was looking for at all. The roll, the sauce everything, no good. They sell filipino grocery items and some baked items as well. There was one guy working the cash register. He had a face shield on. I didn't see anybody else working or customers. I won't be back here.

The best Filipino food! It's homestyle cooking. The place may not looks much from the outside. It is inside a grocery store but food is awesome!

Visiting from another state and craving Filipino food. I was excited to find this joint. However their hours online shows they open at 9am. Drove ways to get there and low and behold they don't open until 10am. Sigh!! Please update your hours on line for less inconvenience. Thank you!!

Decent food, limited availability, slow serviceGrowing up in a town with a small Asian population, my access to Filipino food was limited only to occasional family visits. That said, I was very excited to see the number of Filipino markets and restaurants in Kissimmee. I want to like Mercel's, but I left feeling a bit hungry and disillusioned. We tried to order the binagoongang baboy, but they were sold out despite it being before noon. After deciding on the longanisa, palabok and ginataang bilo-bilo, we waited about 30 minutes. Considering the size of the establishment and the small staff (the cashier was also taking orders), a wait was to be expected and their menu even states so. When our much anticipated food arrived, we were only served the longanisa and bilo-bilo. The server insisted that we didn't order the palabok and then let us know that it was sold out :( As for the food itself, the longanisa had a good grill on it but the portion was absurdly small for $7.50. I was excited for the bilo-bilo as it's a rare menu item. The portion was good and so were the bilo-bilo, but the soup itself was overly sweet.I like the variety of products that they sell in the market and on the menu. That said, I think it's too much for such a small staff to handle. I would come back to try their pan de sal, but might opt to have a meal at one of the other Filipino eateries instead.

The selection is great and the price is reasonable. We tried the halo halo, and it had lots of toppings, flan, and jackfruit ice cream. They have a sit down "restaurant" inside where you can eat. The menu selection is big.
