Pros: The ambiance was very nice and cozy and familial. It felt similar to little bakeries like this in south Florida. Service was fast paced. Don't expect warmth and love, but expect efficiency. The food was delicious. There are so many different items from sweet and savory pastries to whole breakfast arepa sandwiches. So good. Cons: No real cons. This place is exactly as advertised. Tips: You can't go wrong with anything, but out of the pastries, our favorite was the tequeno. But also order an arepa breakfast sandwich. Also very yummy, very unique, and very crispy!

A fast-casual Latin bakery...First time there and I should have ordered the omelet but the breakfast croissant was huge.Got the combo and for 10 bucks you get a drink (large latte in a real cup) and a huge sandwich.... an omelet with bacon on a croissant. The staff was very friendly and I did not expect the double-pierced tongue on our server.....wonder what that feels like and does for one. I digress. Based on the parade of items that walked by our table size is not an issue with portions....some things I want to try walked by....So we will be back. I recommend you go by too.

Super cute and trendy cafe with fresh food, nice variety of sweets and salty foods to pick on. The Columbian empanadas are very filling and well made. The arepas although not my favorite were enjoyed by the folks I was with. The pan de Bono's were fresh and perfectly cheesy!Even the regular coffee was great!

Went down for a beef arepa with soda combo ($12) and some desserts to share with my parents. Picked up a questito, a strawberry brazo gitano, a coconut pie slice and a Napoléon - total bill was $30.The arepa was thick and so tasty, the beef had a great taste and filled me up quickly. Mami split up desserts and I tasted a bit of the brazo gitano which had a fluffy and moist cake and sweet creamy filling. The coconut pie slice was a bit interesting with a slight alcoholic aftertaste, the base of the pie had dulce de leche which is not something I am usually into, but I don't think I had any in the piece my Mami provided. Pop attacked the Napoléon and he loved it.

I went back there few weeks after the first time, and one lady came to me so rude asking me for the ID of my service Dog, didn't even say welcome or any welcoming greeting she just yell "can you pick up the dog, didn't you read the sign at the door where it says Service Dog only" I told her my dog is service, and I was gonna seat outside anyways, and she said "show me the dog's ID". (Which this the only place in America that had asked me to show my dogs ID) anyways I showed her my dog's ID and she left with such an attitude. I can understand how owners have to protect their restaurant and ask for service dogs ID, I work in hospitality and know how this works. there's thousands of ways to ask for it, in nicer ways. For sure not coming back until this personal has proper training towards customers with service dogs.

I had a Dr. Appointment at hospital across the street. We decided to get breakfast here, my 2nd time here. (Did once prior with a fellow Yelper) Both times? Busy! Fortunately, I found us a table. Order in line, take a number and they will bring your food to your table.Food? Coffee? Pastries? Delicious. My husband, mi esposo, is Columbian, so he's like a kid in a candy shop here. Always over orders. Empanadas and pastries to take home on top of our breakfast order.Breakfast? I ordered their special. 2 eggs with a mini arepa, perfect to sop up egg yolk. I also ordered the beef (carne) arepa. Yum. I liked that they bring salsa to the table. He ordered the Mecatos arepa. Beef, ham, chicken, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Think Columbian Whopper. He ate it in 7 minutes. I don't do Coffee much anymore, but took a few sips of his. Yum. I'd trade it for any Starbucks bitter coffee order anyday! The restaurant? Again? Busy. Scanning the room? Lots of Latinos y Latinas. A good sign. Clean restaurant. Professional staff and well staffed! Inside and outside seating. If your in this area? Stop here! You won't be disappointed. I'm excited to try all their menu items!

very cute location, especially the sitting area outside. It's very fast service and very sweet people inside they will attempt to your name however they can see fit. The food is delicious as always I've been to another Mecatos location and it was great, but this one is amazing because it looks cute.

Nothing makes me happier than an after work pick me up from Mecato's! this bakery has authenticity Colombian coffees, pastries, and more! I stopped in after work for some to go items and the attendants were all very kind and quick with their service. As you can see from the photos or from looking at their menu there are quite a few options to choose from! My personal go to's are the Buñuelos or the Guava & Cheese Quesito! I should've taken a photo of it to show you all but next thing I knew it was already gone . If you've got time on your hands and you want to dine in I recommend doing so. It is quick service but they keep the place very clean and it's got such a cute aesthetic with coffee cups and plants on their shelves and walls! Try the coffee too! It doesn't matter if it's the morning or afternoon time!

I LOVE this spot. They're pastries are delicious as well as the coffee but the service is lacking... I was juggling multiple items trying to open the door with my FOOT to help the team by not having to go outside for my tray. While doing this I dropped by pastry on the floor that I was planning on taking togo. The team member SAW this happen. (this was a cheap item pan de bono) when I asked if I could have a replacement knowing it doesn't BREAK THEIR BANK she said "yea.. you can buy one"..... like be for real It completely ruined my experience and I won't be back to this location. I felt I was extremely kind and tipped extremely well, to be not given the same in return. If she would have said "i'm sorry it's company policy I unfortunately can't give you one" I would have kindly understood.

I ordered a Cafe con leche. Batista looks at me up and down, and then rings up a latte. (Which was $1 more). I said, oh I'd like a cafe con leche, not a latte". She said "no I have to ring it up like this". I said "ok, but why charge $1 more? " no response. She then makes a black coffee and milk, in which she charged me for the latte.
