Glad for this new addition to the area. The staff were very friendly and there is a huge selection of freshly baked pastries as well as full meals. I ordered bacon, egg, and cheese on Mallorca bread along with a cafe con leche. I wasn't a huge fan of the bacon, egg, and cheese inside the sandwich. I found that the egg was pretty dry and overcooked and there wasn't enough bacon or cheese. However, the Mallorca bread made up for that disappointment because the bread itself was delicious. They toasted it, so the edges had a bit of crispness to it, and the sweet hint made for a very satisfying bite. The cafe con leche was delicious as well and didn't need any sugar. All in all an enjoyable breakfast. Would like to come back and try some other things at some point.

I'm so obsessed with this bakery! Everything is made fresh & there's so much to try, and there's something for everyone. They have so many yummy sweet & savory options, but this time we went with the sweet baked goods. We ordered the Guava & Cheese Quesitos, Pan de Bono, and a Guava Pan De Bono. We literally could not decide which was the best one, because each thing was both aesthetically pleasing and delicious! The service was amazing & everyone was super friendly. I am very excited to try out other things on the menu!

I used to live in Orlando and Mecatos was always one of my go-to spots to stop in and get some of my favorite Latin American food. Since I was back in the area, I decided to stop and grab some of my childhood favorites- some tequeños, empanadas, buñuelos, and pan de bonos- to eat and also bring back for my family. The business itself is super cute, with lots of food options, drink options, and indoor and outdoor seating (perfect for doggos!). They will bring the food to your table, so that was really lovely. The only thing that I was a little sad about was that my food was completely cold. The typical cheese pull with the tequeños did not happen (my favorite part of eating them lol) and the pan de bono was hard to chew since it was cold. When I got home, I just heated them up in my toaster oven and they were good to go, but I just wish they had been warm or hot while I was sitting at the restaurant and eating.

This place has a huge menu, and man is it good!My friend brought me home the mix and match combo. I got the pan de bolo, beef empanada, chicken empanada, and the Hawaiian empanada. My favorite was the beef empanada with the cilantro cream sauce. It was so good! The chicken was my second favorite. The Hawaiian, while good, was surprisingly in 3rd place.Overall, I ate way too much food, but it was a good, quick meal. I can't wait to go back to try the smoothies too.

Better not say anything to be respectful to community. But was not worth the 2 hour trip sorry! The place looks like high end coffee shop but the food is not traditional Colombian mecato! Again sorry but It feels like a Venezuela Starbucks.

OMG, I am so happy they opened a location closer to me! I'm in Clermont/Minneola and can now drive just 20 minutes, instead of all the way to downtown Orlando, to get my Mecato's Colombian food fix. They are located right next to Chipotle, across from Health Central hospital on Hwy 50. There is a sign that they are doing a soft opening, but they really have their act together, at least when we were there. The staff was friendly, helpful and the service was prompt. Of course, we can't forget the food! After putting my eyeballs back into their sockets from checking out the tantalizing display of desserts and pastries, I ultimately placed my order on the mobile app. You can order in person but I like the convenience of the app, tracking of rewards and the leisurely time I can spend reviewing the menu. The menu on the app is very descriptive of what each item is and comes with pictures and all pricing. There were even items on the app that aren't on the menus in the restaurant, like the Colombian hamburger. It's also nice to see all the options each item has without having to ask a million questions. The Colombian hamburger combo comes with fries and a drink. The burger was sweet and savory. It came with a pineapple sauce, garlic sauce, pink sauce, crushed potato chips and mozzarella cheese. It may not sound like it goes together but trust me, it does. The pan de bono and bunuelos were also delicious and so soft on the inside. Everything we tried was perfect and so good. Can't wait to go back and order more!

I love this little cafe. I often try to find places that are different than that huge coffee place that starts with a "S" (lol) and this place was soooooo cute. They have everything from smoothies, to coffees, to pastries and did I mention....EMPANADAS! Which are amazing btw. So if you're looking for an alternative coffee shop, this is it. It's definitely worth the visit. (There are 6 locations - Lake Underhill, Waterford Lakes, Lake Nona, West Colonial, Metrowest, and Downtown)

Stop in to check out Mecatos Bakery since they open near my neck of the woods. I've visit their other bakery before on the East side of Orlando. They have a variety of baked good items as well as food items. I did just get their empanada meal that came with 4 empanadas and a bottle of coke. It was a bit pricey. I had the beef and chicken empanadas they were good and enjoy their sauce. It was packaged and hard to open though. Plenty of tables and seats throughout the cafe.
