Yum, delicious.Like Pete W I never had a pupusa before. It looked like a quesadilla and well that had me sold. There are a few different things you can get in it like different meats and veggies. I went with pork and it was delicious. The sauce I could have lived without, melted cheese gets me every time. They are pretty cheap too which is a win! They make each one fresh so there is a bit of a wait, worth it though. I want to try their various other meats and fillings to experience all the different flavors!

Had a chance to experience this food truck tonight at a food truck bazaar. I knew it was going to be good when I could see inside the truck what looked like an older Spanish couple cooking the food. I don't know if they are indeed a couple, but you know when you can look at who's cooking your food tell they know what they're doing. AND doing it with a passion.I got the Traditional Revuelta which is a tortilla stuffed with pork, beans, and cheese. The tortilla that it's stuffed with reminds me of the outside of a tamale. It also comes with a side of sauce and this little side made with cabbage and onions. It was soooo good and you can't beat it for $2.50.Follow them on Twitter! http://twitter.com/#!/PUPUSASORLANDO

Pupusas Flores, Pupusas Orlando, Pupusas Salvadorenas, Food Grocery, Mayan Grill, Central American Cuisine? Am I the only one losing my marbles here? What exactly is this truck?I stood in short line for about 7 minutes, when I got to the front I waited patiently for my turn to order. Someone walked up right in front of me with two little dogs, did not even bother to notice there was a line and placed an order. Oh well, I love dogs so I let it slide. After ordering I waiting for what seemed like eternity, maybe a good half hour. People who came behind of me were getting their orders and mine still was being slaughtered. No acknowledgement, no pleasantries, nothing. For whatever reasons, as I looked on, it seems like there was some sort of unorganized chaos going on in the truck. The movements in there seems unrehearsed and confused. Hope this wasn't their first day on the job.The truck itself is blue with a pyramid painted on the side, hints of it's roots. The necessary self promoting, social media icons, pictures, and menu showcased nicely. There was a table with empty sauce bottles, napkins, and plastic utensils."Super Macho" - Make it double! 2 Traditional Pupusas stuffed with Beans & Cheese topped with Steak & Pork. The pupusas were soft and delicate with bold flavors. However, they fell apart when picked up. Apart from the slight difference in color between beef and pork, they was nothing else that set these two meats apart. There is a disclaimer on the menu that says "Special Order Additional waiting time required". Was my order considered "special"? That explains my wait time. I remembered the little yellow truck and how wonderfully delighted I was with my handful of goodies. This visit, no so much. If you are reading this, then you know how the Mayan Calendar's prediction went.

Papusa is almost as much fun to say as it is to eat. I stopped by this Orlando-based food truck at the Food Truck wars in Tampa. The event itself had a ridiculous amount of food trucks but this truck had something I'd never seen before: a papusa. A papusa is a Mayan dish that features a thick tortilla stuffed with beans, cheese, and meat. I typically depend on the recommendations of the staff when trying a cuisine I've never had before. This worked in my favor this weekend as I got the Mayan Chicken over a pork papusa. They let me know before I ordered that it would take about 15 minutes so I ran and grabbed a beer. I don't mind waiting as long as I'm given the right expectation. People who complain about lines at a food truck are probably the same people that complain that they saw the ending coming in the last romantic comedy. But enough about the experience, onto the food! The bite-sized pieces chicken came out in a "mayan" sauce over the top of the papusa. I've never had anything like the sauce before It's sort of hard to describe but it was a light creamy sauce with a bit of garlic flavor and some sort of herb I couldn't put my finger on. It was however, really good. The sauce wasn't overwhelming which is good because I was able to taste the papusa underneath. They also give you some slaw on the side which I poured over the top of everything and added a light vinegar flavor and nice crunch. All the flavors on the plate blended perfectly together. The papusa was really great. It's similar to a quesadilla but the tortilla is thicker and more flavorful. The pork inside was seasoned and delicious. Saying that this is the best thing I've had off of a truck might be a little bit off a stretch as I have had some delicious meals on wheels but it was up there.I wish this food truck was in Tampa more often because it was REALLY good. The cashier also told me that you can check their location on their social media sites and then order online which would be super convenient.

Had the vegetarian Pupusa at the DailyCity Food Truck Bazaar today.Never had a pupusa before, kind of a "stuffed tortilla" as they say on the truck, but a bit thicker so you can really taste the corn. Served with a side of sauce, similar to a salsa verde, and with a nice pile of coleslaw. On first glance, it looked like my Pupusa was filled with just cheese and spinach, but once I bit in it seemed there must be some herbs in there as well. Nice flavor, can really taste the corn in the fresh tortilla, and the spinach was cooked properly, not tough at all. The sauce was delicious, adding the perfect amount of heat to the dish. I really enjoyed the coleslaw as well, had some interesting herb flavor in it I couldn't identify but it was really good. And for $2.50? A really good deal. Two of these would fill up most people and one would suffice for many, so you can't argue with the price. As I said, my first Pupusa, and I really enjoyed it. Nice couple (I'm assuming here) running the place. He takes orders with a smile while she's back cooking up your food. If I run into them again, I would definitely repeat.

I love pupusas. It took me a few decades to figure this out, having not been born in El Salvador. This little yellow food truck serves up what I call Pockets of Love. A pupusa is a thick corn tortilla stuffed with a selection of meats, beans, and cheeses. I go with the beef, bean, and yellow cheese combination. Served with an orange sauce and a homemade slaw that is bathed in vinegar, you have an amazing snack for $2.50.One woman does the cooking, so the line is slow. Bring chips if you don't want to gnaw your own arm off in anticipation.

They have the best pupusas in the Orlando area! Freshly made, wide variety, and served with a smile! We frequently jump online to stalk this truck...Every once in a while, a guy needs a pupusa fix! They are rather good about updating their FaceBook page to let the public know their schedule. If you've never had a pupusa, here's the skinny:Pupusas are ubiquitous in El Salvador. Literally every street corner has at least one pupuseria. Pupusas are composed of either arroz (rice) or maiz (corn) flour dough formed into a patty containing cheese, beans, pork, camarones (shrimp) or squash, though the most common ingredients are the first three. Pupusas are sold for 15-40 cents and garnished with a slightly spicy cabbage, carrot and vinegar mixture called curtido and a mild tomato sauce. A key ingredient is the flower bud of the national flower for El Salvador, called lorocco. Pupusas are made by the roadside and are sold aboard buses by women who squeeze through the crowd with amazing agility.DO NOT MISS THIS TRUCK!!!

The Pupuseria Flores Food Truck popped my Pupusa Cherry! :)Like the other reviewers, I have never had a pupusa before! And I am glad I tried it because it was delicious! We tried the "Traditional Pupusa". I loved the hot sauce, melted cheese, and beans with rice. The pupusa itself was corny (lol. no pun intended) and it reminded me of an arepa.I will definitely try more pupusas from this truck!

I got a chicken papusa from this food truck at Food Truck Fridays at RDV.The line was quick and the food can out quick but....it was cold and it wasn't the best papusa that I have ever had. Obviously they pre-made papusas in order to deal with an upcoming crowd. That is fine but find a better way to keep them warm. Additionally, it was too dry. It needed more cheese, more beans, or more chicken...something. I won't give up on them yet, there were many yummy looking things on their menu to try.
