May Pen Cuisine is a very humble Jamaican restaurant located on Silver Star Road in the same shopping plaza as the Save a Lot supermarket. As I said, this is a very humble establishment. There is absolutely nothing fancy about it. However, the staff us warm and friendly and the food is pretty good. Especially when you consider that they ha r lunch specials at about five dollars ($4.99 to be exact). Oh, I think it also bears mentioning that the lunch special came with a can of soda or a bottle of water.I opted for their jerk chicken lunch special and also treated myself to a Jamaican beef patty. They put my food in a to-go container (again, nothing fancy about this place), rang me up and I grabbed a table. The jerk chicken was definitely good and the price was even better. The beef patty was generic. Not bad, but I could have opened a box that I bought at the supermarket and had the same experience. All in all, this is a great place for lunch (or dinner). I would definitely recommend here.

I stopped in on my way home. They had a lunch special for like $5 which is a deal it comes with a can drink also. For my meal I choose stew chicken with rice and peas and veggies. I also added a beef patty to try. I will say everyone there was very nice. The stew chicken was ok. I don't think I would get it again because it didn't "wow" me with flavor and was missing the "sweet"peppers/onion I'm used to cooking with my stew chicken and the rice was a smidge overdone. The patty was good and flaky I would return to get more of those for sure. If your in the area and want a change from the drive thru this is a good alternative for just $5

If you're looking for a great Caribbean takeout spot, this is it. I wish I snagged a picture but I was super hungry. I really enjoyed the food and the portions--a small is more than enough for one person. I had the stew chicken (which was very authentic) and rice and peas and ordered the fried chicken with rice and peas for my boyfriend. This place is tucked away but gives the nearby Negril a run for it's money for sure. What stood out most was the customer service of the young Jamaican woman who's name I wish I got. Bring cash to tip because unfortunately their credit card machine does not process tips. She was welcoming and accommodating and just all around charismatic (iykyk lol) But I certainly will be back. The food tasted great and the customer service was wonderful. They've definitely gained a customer.

Best Jamaican Food hands down! This restaurant is such a gem. We eat at this restaurant once a week usually Saturdays. The jerk chicken, fried chicken and oxtails are top tier. I am sure everything else is too but that is what I usually get.
